I suppose the questionwould be, doesthe Master Brawler Intimidation and COB have more of an affect AND last longer, or just last longer?

I dont know about the CoB and Intimidate skills, maybe its just the duration.


But Master Brawler is a must-have as a Swordsman IMO.


The +5 2-hand speed saves you money for a skill tape (on my server like 10 millions).

And you are able to use DoT-Lances, which will help you a ton if you stack bleeds on a NS Elder.


TKA 4304 is also good to have. Meditate will save you the time to run to cantinas and medical centers,

and you DO gain some nicedefense in these trees.

Fencer 0440 will make you almost impossible to KD or forced Posture down.

Complete this with some medic and you are the top-PvE tank in the game.

Master Swords

Master Brawler

TKA 4004

Fencer 1440

Medic 2140


Im sacrificing some ranged and melee defense, but i have akuuan rings and tapes to make up for that. The biggest thing I like about this is the big heals and the first aid. Stacked bleeds from Elders is waht gets me every damn time, last night I had one stick 1100 per tick bleed on me, I currently have only nov med, and I burned through 34 stim b's in no time flat and she still got the best of me. This setup should eliminate that problem and allow me to solo them again like I used to.

Compare Intimidate1 and Intimidate2 i foundsome differences...intimidate2 last longer(3 times|20/60sec.), sticks easierand imo takes away a bit more damage...afaik the devs said that there is allways a 10% chance to land a stat..if so the cap must be +90 for def. vs. xyz...i was master sword/fencer/pistoleer 1043 and novice med...they let me do the flipflop as much as they do it now...i like warcry2 very much...this 20sec. safed some times my life....and don´t forget the extra +5 on toughnessu gain as a master brawler...


btw. there is a big difference doing the flipflop and gettin hit by an ns who is intimidate or not....without intimidate they can slap your a$$ cause u couldn´t heal yourself being kd...taking only half the damage is a big winner in this case...






As to TKA, it looks to me like all the TKA stuff is unarmed this/unarmed that and of no use in adding to a Master Swordsman combat ability.


Don't get me wrong, I think a good TKA is a site to behold in combat, they kick butt and look cool doing it, but how much of it can you use while wielding a sword? Well besides the uber-cool 'Force of Will', which almost makes TK 4000 worth it alone it would seem to an outside observer.




TKA isgood for landing some stats like stun or blind...those u can´t apply as a swordsman....and its good to switch to tka while doing the flipflop...higher toughness...

High melee defense really doesn't help against high level mobs that don't miss. I.E. elders etc.. Healing is just another form of damage mitigation, and a more effective one at the high level game then melee def. fighting lots of low to medium level mobs though, and the tables turn in my opinion.Not getting hit means, no status effect, and less armor deterioration. Having some state defense never hurt nobody though.


Also, on the Master brawler thing. get it. keep it. use it. love it. intimidate 2, sticks more, and lasts longer than intimidate 1 (iirc) the additional 5+ in weapons speed is going to result in about 20% increased damage over time. and the additional COB is welcome vs high level mobs. The one attack you probably could have avoided but didn't, will usually be the one that kills you =) and don't forget warcry2. It's like a 20 second timeout to gather your thoughts, and regroup; or run like a coward.

But dont be afraid to make friends with perhaps a swordsman / doc and the two of go see if you can give those elders what for.

i would suggest thinking bout getting 0040 medic, 400 stims r nice, but 1.1k stim e'sr MUCH better

first off ill admit, im dabbling into fencer, plz forgive me, but what i need advice on is whether to take 4000 fencer, or 0400 fencer. im a master pistoller, witgh bh pistols and in3, basically a qustion what would bne better, more state def and the extra dodge i need to cap out( im at 120 now) or all the ranged and melee def, id like to get you opinions thnx

hhm well im woundering what the template is for, PvP, PvE or both, if i where you i would ditch 0.0.3.0 on fencer and get 4.4.0.0 fencer insteed, much beter lower posture and KD defences. TKA would be beter to have in 0.0.0.4, since the defences are there. But then again you might feel a need to meditate and powerboost, not to mention force of will, can be handy at times.


If i where you i would spend some money on sword speed tapes, ditch master brawler and get DOC 4.0.3.0, fencer 4.4.0.0, swordsman. You would be great for both PvE and PvP (dont know what that leaves you for the force trees, but if you can have it ditch some fencer for the force.

Right now I am mostly into PVE for the jedi grind but I would like to find a good all around swords template for both.


I dont need to be uber in either just competitive. Maybe there is no such thing as the perfect balance???
