Hi Zans,

I assume you are ready for a hunting carrier... if that's the case I wouldsuggest you Master TK rather than Mastering CH.

If you go to http://swg.allakhazam.com/they have a character builder. You can then plan your template. If you go TKA then I think you'll be alright, but any other combat profession, you'll want to be able to heal yourself eventually, that comes with a hefty 15 Skill Point deduction. You might not get what you want out of your character then. If you are going to dabble in CH, I suggest the taming tree, that way you can tame aggressive creatures.

hunting carrier? well i wanna tackle krayts and such but i also wanna be a ch, but by my math i wont have enough points left to be able to get to a level 4 box, specifially the mount training one. but if uyou guys have any other suggestion about another profession i should minor in i am listening closely.

Hmmmmm, You know, I would suggest you work on all those professions simultaneously, find the ones that fits you and Master them.

You are drawn to CH, TK, Scout, and Ranger... If you chose to Master Ranger, you will have to specialize in one elite combat profession or you will be visiting the cloning facility more than you would like. In doing that, you will have very few points to do anything with CH.

The base for survival in this game is to Master one elite combat profession... So, i would focus on that first, and some scouting.

After that you either chose CH or Ranger...

If I'm confusing you let me know.... I'm a little tired and my eyes are tearing, I should have slept a little longer... /giggle

Wow I'm reading myself lol. Check my sig . Works for me...sorta....

Now am Ch0001...as I am dropping TK for Pikes....keeping enough till the tradeoff and low combat will only be for a short small while...its a work in progress. But watching Dranzer (MR/pikeman) on shadowfire is droolworthy

Yep, TK is impressive, but Pike looks awsome (There's nothing cooler than to engage 12 ST's and hit them with a /polearmSweep2 and then a /polearmspinattack2... less than 15 seconds later, you loot all their belongings)

I spend alot of time on dath killin sisters and on tat killin krayts, but looking to build up defenses some more. After the last patch I am no longer able to solo Elders anymore and Id like to be able to do so again. So, this is what I have currently planned.....

Criticize, pick apart and put in your two cents please:

Master Swords (not willing to change this at all)

Master Brawler (not willing to change this either)

TKA 4404

Fencer 3440

Novice Medic

This will cap me on melee defense, def vs. kd, def vs. posture change down, and damn near cap me on ranged, leaving dizzy and stun at 65.

Its close to my current template...works great for killing high end mobs like elders or krayts....but i stick with medic 0040...its just sweet to heal for +1kin one shot...

Mastered Professions so far: * Brawler *TKA * Fencer * Swordsman * Pikeman * Marksman * Rifleman * Scout * Creature Handler * Medic

I'm considering dropping master doc and going for total 'defense stack whore-dom' to add to Master Swordsman. That is, Fencer 0440, Pistoleer 0040. I still want scout and novice medic so I'd have to leave off Master Brawler. Is MB really worth it just for +5 speed/accuracy and intim/warcry2? Seems like you can get tapes to get near that without having use up precious SP.

With regards to purpose of thread, TK seems to offer nice offenses such as the unarmed KD2/3 whatever, but can you realistically use the good offenses of TK when you are equipped with a sword? Not alot of Def. vs X in TKM that I know of.

Thats close to the prof that Im heading toward. Tho, I am going 2000 in medic as I hear Elder bleeds are wicked if you dont heal them up. 2k tic is hard to combat against.

Go 4304 in TK...that last top box doesnt add anything useful.

Why the hell 0040 in pistoleer? Do u need the ranged migration for fighting rifleman in pvpv? while fighting high end mobs u don´t need tons of stat-def. nor melee/ranged defense...imo master brawler is a must have when fighting elders...intimidate2, warcry2, +5 on cob, toughness, accuracy and speed is more than worth to go for m-brawler and spend the sp on it....if u want scout and medic abilities within yout template may go for master brawler/sword/fencer 0440/tka 4004/medic 2020 and scout 1000....leaves u with 0 SP and some nice goodies....

I'm still not convinced of the value of master brawler over not being able to be knocked down and very difficult to be stunned/dizzy etc. So you get longer COB's and Intimidations? Big deal, just reapply them more often. I dont' care if they are intimidated if I'm flopping around on the floor. The ranged mitigation is just a bonus and not something I'm all that concerned with, it' s the posture change defense and the +125 def vs knockdown that interests me.

As to TKA, it looks to me like all the TKA stuff is unarmed this/unarmed that and of no use in adding to a Master Swordsman combat ability.

Don't get me wrong, I think a good TKA is a site to behold in combat, they kick butt and look cool doing it, but how much of it can you use while wielding a sword? Well besides the uber-cool 'Force of Will', which almost makes TK 4000 worth it alone it would seem to an outside observer.
