Thread: Factories
One thing i have noticed with factories, and have read on the boards, is that you can only run it once to completion of the schem and then it won't work anymore till the next night after a server reload.
The workaround for this is the one I use and works nicely. Once I finish the run, I make another schematic, then destroy the factory, place it back in the same spot, and poof all is well for one more run. If you are doing a fresh run and it is not working, try re-deeding it and placing it back down. Might just be bugged. Once your factory is bugged, you have to re-deed it to bring it back to normal. Also check your status, because if there isn't enough power, or your maintenance is too low, the factory will quit also. (Happened to me one time, got carried away in other things and forgot to check it:smileysurprised![]()
So you are having these problems post-patch?
Re-deeding costs credits now. Be sure you don't destroy your factory when you re-deed!
Let us know if the problem persists with a new schematic after re-deeding. I won't knowif my factory successfully completed its first post-patch run until later this evening.
This broke the 100 item a day limit with no trouble for me and the final run on both Seeker droids and motivators it pulled modules from the crates just fine. Now whether this means factories are truly fixed or if it was simply working for me, I don't know.
'fixed' is a relative term.
Sure, I can mass-produce needed electronics modules, but my main moneymaking business (ranged weapon powerups) is completely hosed again. All crates come out with no attributes assigned.
I don't know if the problem is post-patch or not, will let you guys know after i check my factory this evening and start another run. According to my son, they will make more than 100 units now. I am testing that feature also as we speak, running 250 GP Modules. Will let you know the results from that also.
Thanks, I haven't re-deeded since the patch. I will try that and let you all know how I fare.

Factories still seem broke at least in my experiences last night. Though not as broke as before. Here is my experience last night.
All of this is post patch:
Logged on and created a schematic for 100 GP Modules. Loaded up the factory and started the run. Ran to completion no problem.
Created a new schematic for Arakryd Droids 50 count for a customer. Using the GP modules and Memory modules from the crates created above. Loaded the schematic into the factory with the crated GP modules and crated Memory modules as well as the required raw resources. Started the factory. 2 mins later I get a message from the factory that I am out of GP modules! I am irked because of course there are 200 GP modules in crates in the factory.
So, I unload the crated GP modules and put them in the hopper individually. So now they are crateless but still in the factory. Start the factory up. 2 mins later same error message. Out of GP modules.. Ok of course this is not true. So I think, perhaps its because I have not re-deeded my factory since the patch.
So, I take all the resources out of the hopper, take the schematic out of the factory and I Re-deed the factory, of course this now cost me about 4000 credits to do it to get it where I want (maintanice costs) I put all the resources back in the factory, put the schematic back in the factory and start the run yet again. 2 mins later, get the message the factory is OUT OF GP MODULES!!!!!
OK, I take all the resources out of the hopper, take the schematic out of the factory, delete the schematic. Create a new schematic using the now crateless GP modules. Put this new schematic into the factory, put the resources back in the factory, start the run. 2 mins later get the message OUT OF GP MODULES!!
I GIVE UP! I tried everything I could think of to fix this and it would not work. I contact the customer, and offer to throw in a military pack with all the droids inside it because I cannot create the crated droids. Thankfully the customer is ok with that and I make the droids by hand.
After completing the sale, I decide to try and do some components again since when I was trying to make the GP modules it ran fine. I create a schematic for Advanced droid chassis and insert it into the factory as well as the required resources. This is a run of 50. It runs through no problem.
I then create a schematic for droid sensors. This is a run of 50 as well. I start the factory, it runs through no problem.
Outcome of all of this????? Basically from what I can determine, making items with the factory that only require raw resources works fine for me. If I try to make an item with the factory that requires other COMPONENTS, as well as raw resources it fails. In otherwords, I cant make factory droids, or advanced brains, or any item that would require compoents other then raw resources.
Of course I plan on trying to do some additional testing tonight to verify all this, but I wanted to share my experiences with everything last night to the community to see if this was similar, and if so in hopes that a dev will take a look.
Sorry for the long read, just wanted to make sure I was as detailed as possible in describing my experiences last night with the factory.
Just wanted to add that I was able to factory produce 20 Seeker droids after the patch. The EGP and EMM were placed individually (not in crates) into the ingredient hopper. All indgredients were placed into the hopper usingthe order given by the "list ingredients needed" radial menu option.
I hope you guys get it working. Good luck.
I have checked all the options in the menu... Options only displays 2 items.First oneto place resources and Second one to pickup items .. I do not have a schematic option in the menu .. I may have to call the Holicon !
