This is a potential Jedi Slayer template I was looking at:
BH 4000
TKM
Commando 0040
+12 points remaining
I don't want this to turn into a dabbler/purist flamefest. I have been a BH since before vehicles and inv XP doubling so I think I have earned the right to examine other options.
The bottom line is that you are not a Bounty Hunter unless you are able to collect on your bounty. Our job is to bring them in dead or alive, and current game mechanics dictate "dead."
Early reports seem to be saying that even with godly accuracy, Jedi are blocking almost all our shots. At present, Melee classes are the ones that are dropping them the most effectively. Therefore TKM seems a logical choice.
I added Commando for the FT as all the pre-req's were there, I have tons of heavy weapon XP stored up, and Fire DoT wreaks havok on Jedi. While they may be able to block a shot from the FT while standing, I could go for the KD/dizzy with TK, switch to FT (hoping the KD stays long enough) DoT him, then back to VK's. I never heard Wepp's assessmend of the FT in combat, but think it is a solid support.
There might also be a potential workaround of the weapon delay as I think you can unequip immediately its when switching to a new weapon that there is a delay. In that case, unequip the FT and start attacking unarmed, switching to VK a few seconds later.
The remaining 12 points can be used for a number of things: BH pistols 3 (eyeshot with the commando Pistol?) 2 novice elites, or any novice elite and a level one box, or three boxes in another brawler tree.
Any thoughts?

Today I tracked a Jedi who was farming NPCs at a well-known POI on Naboo... as if that shouldn't have tipped him off that he was also grinding visibility, I was one of 4 BHs to show up at the same time to take a shot at him.
What he proceeds to do just begged for a CS ticket to be submitted, and it was. First, he Force Runs away. That's cool. I burst ran and chased him till he got out of range, then called my own swoop and took off after him, following the droid updates. So far, so good. But when I catch up to him, he's swimming in the ocean 300m or so off the southern coast. So I run back to shore, call my combat droid, and head out to his WP. Upon seeing the droid, he pulls out a 40k condition exploited swoop bike and proceeds to zip up and down the coast for 45 mins, whining how we're harassing him and we need to just leave him alone.
A couple things irk me about this. #1 Jedi BH missions are not harassment, provided the BH(s) are not vulgar or insulting, do no clone or corpse camp, and do not take repeated missions on the same Jedi. None of these applied. #2 I consider it fair play for a Jedi to run to a safe house or call 20 friends to come help him... I don't like it, but it's fair play, so tough sh1t for me... however, I consider it exploiting to hide in a battlefield or in open water on a vehicle (in which there's no chance of being attacked, even by a pet), and I think the CSRs do as well. #3 The swoop is definitely an exploit, one the devs have posted about on the forums already.
Two of us sent in CS tickets but didn't hear back from a CSR in the 45 mins- 1hr this fracas was going on.
IMO Jedi doing everything in their power within the intended rules of the game to escapea BH mission is just fine and dandy. Safe houses, protection squads, whatever... but using the environment to make yourself invulnerable is, IMO, not an intended strategy.
Am I off base here? I'd like to hear what BHs and Jedi alike think. If the guy had escaped us fair and square, that's fine... I'll get you some other day, but in my opinion using the environment to make yourself unattackable is the same thing as using the environment to attack NPCs or creatures from a place where you can't be hit, and that's exploiting.

I agree with you man...
I find it coward running for water... Sadly I can hardly call it an exploit since it's how it's meant to work... I do think that that's an awful design though...
The same goes for hiding in houses... That's not an exploit (well, at least if you don't just plant the house from the deed because you've been attacked), but it's bad for us BH anyway.
The exploited swoop asked for a ticket though. I'm not for the soft treatment with exploiters... Ban them at once. This should prevent further exploiting, don't ya think?

His bike should be taken away, and it's pitiful that he whined at you, but there wasn't anything wrong with anything else he did.

I would like to see them change the code for 40K bikes so that they only take one shot to kill and they do 2000 points of blast damage to all TEF players within 10m. I would also like to see them sneak this code in, it would be a nice retribution to the exploiters.

Lol that would be fun!
Anyway yes, you can send and detonate your bomb droid in water. You have to be on land to call it though, I think...

I'm trying to complete a Tier 4 mission where I have to destroy 5 tier 5 A wings.
What do you reckon would give me my best chance? Dunelizard with no armor (so I can fit decent weapons) or a Rihxrk with big shields and decent armor?

The Rhik with 3x cert 7 guns and an RE'd cert 8 engine will give you awesome maneuverability and more than adequate firepower.
If your reward shield has not yet been given or RE'd then have a MSW craft you one, they are quite capable of making one ~2k with good recharge.

Thanks for the good advice.
Looks like I'll need to shop around for a level 8 engine....

There ain't a mission in the game that can't be overcome by throwing enough players at it
