Hi, im currently Master Sabers, Healing 3/0/0/4 and defence 4/0/0/4 so now i've come to my crossroads and i have to make a decision. im not really in PvP so this will be purely for PvE really unless i get jumped by BH's
option 1)
Master Sabers, Master Defender and healing 4/0/0/4
option 2)
Master Sabers, Defender 4/0/0/4, Healing 3/2/0/4 and powers 0/0/4/0
i will be going for 1 of these so any input would be appreciated
both are good if your going to solo but personally I went 4004 Enhancement but if i have to pick one...id say take option 2 because:
you can heal your own wounds
you have force weaken and force intimidate (atleast i know for certain you got intimidate)
option 1 has more heals but no wound heal, option 2 sounds much better

You may want to consider Enhancer 4000 instead of Powers. Force Run 2 could be very useful in certain situations.

If you're a good PvP Jedi... the Rebels will NEVER stand and fight you to the death. You must be able to chase them down. /forcerun2

Okay, I'm looking to do well at PvP and PvJ (Player vs. Jedi).
Okay, so my three options are these:
1) BH 3/0/4/0, Master Pistoleer, and Smuggler 0/0/4/0
2) BH 3/4/4/0, Master Pistoleer, and Carbineer 4/4/0/0
3) Bh 0/0/0/1, Novice Entertainer, Brawler 0/0/0/2, and novice Image Designer. >.>
Okay, so 3 isn't an option, but still. Any advice on which of the first two is better?

1) Smuggler tree completly useless. You might want to explain what you meant to do with it.. And I hope it wasn't for feign death, cause obviously you want to KILL jedi, not play dead. Was it for last ditch then..? You'll hit rarely enough as it is, no need to use attacks that hurt ALL 3 pools. That just wont do
2) Again, I don't know how you plan on fighting them.. it looks to me like you're trying to score a KD/dizzy with your carbine and then destroy them while they're on the ground? Maybe.. except that was my plan too, but then I found that its virtually impossible to do this with a ranged weapon, because they just block most of the shots. Now you better pray that 1 of the 6 shots that manages to get through will do its job. But I'm telling you it won't
. And while youre spending all this time shooting with your carbine, you're defenseless and you'll get annihilated.
3) Hm, I'd drop brawler so I could take the hairstyling tree at ID, it seems thats the most popular cosmetic change with most people.

I'm currently BH 3/0/4/3, and almost Master Pistoleer.
Pistols have been doing me well in PvE, with a DX2 just to grind. Though it all looks like it's going to work quite nicely.
Yet to try it out on a Jedi.

Without Master Pistoleer + BH Pistols or Cabineer + BH carbines you will not hit much these Jedi are a real pain to hit.
A little secret i have found is that Jedi Can't block Grenades!! Sweet! (I'm grindind Commando atm!)
I'm heading for MBH + 4040 Commando (flamer+Grenades)

Let me add my own experience and build..
I was MBH/Mpistoleer/novice brawler (for intimidate). I pretty much owned all the pre-MLS jedi, a lot due to the fact that they also have pretty weak lightsabres. I went for intimidate, then did a bleeding shot and spammed eye shot, every once in a while mixing an intimidate with them.
It's pretty ridiculous actually, if they have just techniques IV, their block is so low that you're almost sure to win every time, if you have at least a decent pistol and use the right food/spice. But once they are Master LS, their block leaps up so much, that its virtually impossible to kill them with ranged weapons. There is no way.
So until ranged combat against jedi gets revamped, I dropped MBH and Mpistoleer for this template:
Master Swordsman
BH 4/0/3/0
Pistoleer 0/0/4/0
Grinding swords at the moment, then I'll use my Scythe which I have capped speed on with HeadHit3. Pistoleer techniques are for defense. I will have +75 KD and +60 Dizzy without any food (KD/dizzy is what they always do to kill you).
Nice.. the jedi have godlike defenses against ranged, and no defenses at all against melee. I became a BH cause I wanted to hunt players. And since the jedi are the only player bounty missions at this time, I don't feel like I'm very good at my profession if I can't ever kill them with ranged weapons. The only options then would be to log off until this gets rebalanced, or adjust my template so I can do what I'm supposed to do.

Hmm, well, I REALLY want to avoid melee if at all possible, because I don't like the idea of melee BH, I don't know why.
Carly, I was thinking of using Last Ditch for the Stun effect. Jedi saber block gets reduced when stunned, which would mean eyeshot and torso shot would hit a lot more. Another thing is that I hear Lowblow is MUCH better at knocking people down than Fire Knockdown is. And while I realize that the smuggler tree is not that great, it just seems better than carbines, cause like you said, I wont have ANY defenses with them. Don't forget, I'm not just fighting Jedi here, I'm fighting other profs too ^_^
Anyway, I really can't think of any other way to spend skill points...besides mastering Bounty Hunter, which just doesn't seem worth it at all.

underhand shot is a fantastic knockdown when paired with confusion shot. Confusion not only dizzies, but stuns too - so once you land it, just pull and underhand shot or 2 and it might even hit the poor **edit**. Then spam confusion shot while the jedi is on the ground. Or - if you're going master BH - you can use spray shot. It's even better.

i know i should do this on some other board but i figured that the masters here would know what would be helpful for my future. my planned template for my character is master scout, master ranger, and either master ch or master tk, and if i go master tk then i will use my remaining points to be a ch 0003 or something like that, same thing goes with being a master ch, will use remaining points for tk. thanx for all your help guys, oh yea and where and when do krayts spawn? would like to take them down., =)
