Thread: The perfect guide to the perfect 10 (tank pet version)
OK, just made my best one to date:
CL10
3065 Health / 2706 Action / 2078 Mind
28% Kinetic Resist, Vuln to all else
2.4 attack speed23% to hit
blind special1 stun special2
Ranged = Yes
Damage 30-40
Not to shabby. This gives it an effective 4256 health vs. kinetic.
As to the recipe, I couldn't even begin to document it. 5 or 6 generations of inbreeding. I started off with DNA that was way to potent.
Hmm I wonder if the low action and health account for the high resist 38% kinetic?
Great pet. I could show you 15 pages of xls sheets that have results with 31-57% kinetic Nth generation pets and the only ones that came out under CL10 had around 1k ham.
Obviously, it's better to have a CL10 4k zero resist than even 20% and 3k.
So, you have proven it's possible but I have spent a lot of time doing it and it's not worth it IMO to try to make them except for RL friends etc.
And as for auctioning it, I would probably wait until they nerf all the remaining 7k ham CL10s. They are still out there and callable although we know not for much longer.
Once people get over the shock of using CL10 pets that are what the devs intended, yours will be worth a pretty pennyI bet.
low action and health.....replace health with mind pool. That's what I meant

Stun / Inimidate / No ranged
Resists were 11 kinetic, 5 energy 7 blast
And this came out to 2.8k HAM and CL11.
30-40 dmg .26 to hit 2.45 attack speed.
Makes no sense. No way this should be over 10.
Kinetic resist and energy resist will always add +1 to the CL. This is why you'll see most people with impressive results have only kinetic or energy.. rarely both unless the HAM is really low. Everything else is correct though, you should end up with a pet which is around 2862 / 2772 / 1782 which is quite decent for a non-ch pet but crap for a novice CH one. This is the whole reason why the CL rating system isn't as dynamic as it should be, we've all seen exceeing 250 for hardiness tends to throw the CL over. The fact is though that we should be able to dump all of the HAM points into a single pool if we wanted since it would keep the balance intact.
Another near miss, I think this one was *really* close to CL10

DNA Template AA
181 Hardiness
49 Fortitude
159 Dex
203 Endurance
99 Int
98 Cleverness
583 Dependability

An update:
I've found it to be nearly impossible to get a Kinetic resist over 40% (all else is vuln) and have a decent ham.
Just to test the lower boundry, I used an absolute low ball DNA sample and got this:

Here's its parent:

I conclude from this that kinetic in the 20-35% range is probably more achievable with decent HAM.
Comments?
Same here, I pushed kinetic up to 47% and could only push ham to about 600 with that resist.
I have found a happy spot with 13% kinetic, 4% energy and about 2500-3000 health with action and mind a few hundred lower. Also that's with stunning and crippling srike specials.

OK Here's yet another stumper:
CL12 Razor Cat
36 Courage
1 Fierceness
15 Power
24 Kinetic / Vuln to all else
2.46 attack speed / 0.27 to hit / 30-40 damage
Stunning Strike Special1
Intimidate Special2
Ranged = No
2778 Health / 2742 Action / 2132 Mind on finished pet.
You had a critical failure on that one, that will always screw up the rules. If you had a success on them all it might have actually been under CL10. The other issue is that your over the usual 6500 seen with CL10 and under pets that have any double figure resists however I'd say it's more likely that the failure messed something up. I honestly don't know though, I'm just calling it as I see it.
Tal-
No critical failures actually. Just an Nth generation pet that over time sampled out to 1 for fierceness.
