Nice work Tal-N. Question for you and others playing around, have you tried any of the other skins? I'm noticing most of the folks here have done the formula with gurrecks.

I played around with some other skins last night just because I was getting bored with gurrecks =). I'm getting some weird results. I was trying to get a bol using these formulas to be under 10 and I kept ending up with cl11, even though I think all the dna stats were in line with Tal-N's post. Unfortunately I didn't write down the template numbers so I'll give it another try tonight.

But one thing I did note was that certain resists where I had 0% in the template ended up calculating to 3% when the final creature was made. Anyone know where this shift in resist #'s comes from? It keeps throwing my pets out of whack.

I've made eopies, gurrcat, jaxs, gnorts, razors, cu pa, and a dewback using what turns out to be Tal-N's findings. I know now I could have pushed the health bars on those animals more than I did.

I've madeCL10 langlatches, and even a woolamander keying on hardiness, dexterity, and intelect. Pointless to make these in a non-creature handler version but live and learn.

I've actually gotten pretty profficient making CL10 animals. Using Tal-N's findings my animals will be all that much better.

I did a lot of testing on these NON Ch pets lastnight due to me making a ton of lvl 11's. I posted before on page one about some of the success I had, but those were early in the day.

After taking a look at the Wrix DNA I was using it helped me to understand why I was getting the level 11's rather than the lvl 8's I was making earlier.

The lvl 8's resists were: 6% kinetic and energy, vulnerable to all other except for blast and electricity. For blast and electricitiy they were bothzero.

The lvl 11's resists were:6% Kinetic and energy, vulnerable to all others expept for blast and electricity. Forblast and electricity they were both3% or 4%.

Now Iwasn'trecording the values of the resists on the wrix DNA early on in the day, but I am certain that there was not difference between them. As someone else stated in this post I was also gettingzero resists calculated for blast and electricity in the template, but once I performed my final combine they were 3% and 4%boostingmy CL to 11 or above.

I then went to dantooine and collected some lesser bol DNA (beliveit was lesser bol) and I used that in the second slotinstead of the wrix DNA.Icombined my template andthen the skin andtheresult was a CL 10 pet with HAM about 2000/2000/1500, also only kinetic and energy resists.

This proved to me that the extra two resists that are being created on the final combine is infact raising myCL by 3 to 4 levels.

With the modification I made in the DNA samples I managed to eliminate thestray resists, but I was left with aCL 10 pet with about a 2000 HAM, when earlieron I could make a CL 8 with around a 3000 HAM with two specials. To resolve this issue I am going to try finding another DNA for the second slot, one that has a lower power but alittle bit more in the rest of the stats.

I will be sure to get back to you all on this.

This is what I was saying, your not getting a very fair trade off between damage and HAM really. As overpowered or underpowered they might be but the values simply don't seem right. As for resists yes, you need to avoid having more than 3 resistance types until the HAM needs to be lowered. I'm seeing that you can hit around 3500 with 1 resist, 2500 with 2 and around 1500 with 3. It's not an exact science unfortunatly but at least it's a step in the right direction and people are getting better results.

Higher quality sample = higher statvalues

So when your making CL10 clones it's not always wise to use the very best quality samples.

Great work Tal.

Actually, what I'm finding, is that once you resign yourself to the fact that you're willing to live with the minimum damage (30-40), the rest comes fairly easily. It's when you try to squeeze out a little more damage that you start getting into that rut where you can seemingly make nothing but CL 11-13 critters.

I've been able to make 2 CL10 pets with 3900/2900/2500 HAM Kinetic 10% Energy 23% using the S. Humbaba/S.Humbaba/minor sludge panther/minor sludge panther/paralope *Nice Job Tal-N*

However, I've made about a kazillion CL13's since then, and not a single CL10. The culprit is the darn Blast keeps getting a resist of 5 rather then 0 and I cannot keep from getting it now!!!

If I use my husbands account (he also has a novice BE) and DNA sample s.humbabas, I get the below average and average DNA which has a fortitude of 100 or less, which is the cause of me getting that extra resist in.

Sooooo, I suppose I'll be doing him a favor by workin his DNA sampling skills since mine are maxed and worthless in this situation. *sob* Anyone else have this problem and a work around or is it just me and my luck!?

An update:

I've found it to be nearly impossible to get a Kinetic resist over 40% (all else is vuln) and have a decent ham.

Just to test the lower boundry, I used an absolute low ball DNA sample and got this:

Here's its parent:

I conclude from this that kinetic in the 20-35% range is probably more achievable with decent HAM.

I've tried to use the method and i got some good cl10. But nothing to the quality (even approaching) of the better i've done before (1 weeks ago, by pure "luck")...

Unfortunately I havent got the screenshot of the templates...

If i well remember, i was using very low cl for the agression (hurton pup or very low cl second generation pets), 2 or 3 voritor or quenker, and hurtons...
Things interesting is that the damage is widely above what Tal said as a limit...
So, surely a lot of things to learn again about non ch pets...

You'll find that any failures while experimenting or poor assembly results will always throw the CL off wildly, that explains a good 90% of people who 'accidently' produce really impressive clones at CL10. The other 10% are people using some form of exploit.

Yes, I agree those damages are widely higher than anything I've gottenunder 10. Unless you crit failed and several key stats are 1, my data would suggest that those pets are impossible to replicate now.

These pets were made this week...
And yes I was still 2 0 4 1 so I probly made some "crit failed" I wonder wether I'm gonna put more skill points into eng tech...
And as soon as exploits are things who do consciently those pets are not...

My conclusion is -> low cl creatures are for beginners BE

" This is pretty much the way it has worked for me. One note is thatI have been able to get KIn up past 40% IF you get vunbl to all else. ( total HAM ~ 5000)"

Hey Talgoth-

I have beaten this to death and cannot get a 40% kinetic (or even 31%) with HAM over 1.5k and CL under 11 with everything else vulnerable.

Was this 40% kinetic 5k ham pet you mention a crit fail or can you consistently produce it?

Cheers-
