Thread: Rancor Teeth
this might be a good Weapon smith post, but i thought id post it here and see what everyone has to say.
Im curious to see what kind of teeth people are finding. Please post your teeth, and if you can't remember what it was, perhaps the max damage.
I'd like to see what exactly the range on these are, if its known.
I know this has been said before, but not quite the same way im gonna ask this.
I have heard rummors of since the new patch 300+ rare rancor teeth being droped. This is to the max damage of course.
Im curious as to the only people that could possibly even make anythign is you guys, What kind of rancor teeth have you smiths seen coming in latly?
There've always been "rare" Rancor Teeth that actually don't suck.
They're flagged Exceptional or Legendary. Krayt Tissues have the same thing, Exceptional/Legendary tags = really high-end Krayt Tissue. But they are extremely, extremely rare.

I'm rather curious about this myself. I know what is "supposed" to be dropping, but I have yet to personally see the stats I was told would become available to us with the recent changes actually drop.
If those of you that have actually found the new superior teeth could post the stats on what they have discovered, I'd appreciate it. If we aren't seeing the drops we should, then I would have something to take back to the Devs.

Max damage 82, speed +.666 (have to love that), wound +25, low ham gain.
I had some Ryyks and Curves made, all of which were roughly 210 damage at 3.8 speed unsliced. Thanks to a server rollback just as I got them sliced, the best Ryyk came out at 265 damage, 2.9 speed with a 52% wound. The best curve was 264 damage, 2.5 speed with a 49% wound.
Of course these weapons are worse than an FWG5 for mitigation, as rancor teeth seem to have higher maxes but lower mins. Range is also a killer, although the curves seem to take teeth much nicer than the Ryyks in that regard.

im curious if anyone has seen anything like this. I went to the weapon smith forum, and saw a post about some. there was one reported at 134 max damage, but that was the best.
I started a new thread to see if anyone else has found something since that other post died out, and i wanted to start new so id get atleast a reply.
you are correct, they can drop as legendary or excpetional which would give that kind of damage. I remember seeing this vibro motor which was legendary, and holy popEye that was some insane stats. Now, as it is with the new lootsystem Legendary will apparently drop as schematics? hummm, interesting...

I plan to hit bull rancors when im done with my template, but then again even with all the defensives im giving myself, im still a wookiee, and i can't wear armor.
i think i will die alot, but maybe someone has some advice with this.
no ch pets to do the job for me this time hehe.
Are yougoing for the master Brawler title as well? You will eat those Rancors like tiny bunnies once you get master Fencer and The Warcry2 and Intimidation2 skills. If you are not going to get master Brawler, I would suggest a nice shirt... erh.. can wookies wear BE clothes, the Tensile Strenght and Fear Release composition? arh.. wookie.. hummm.. Nevertheless, the Rancor won't hit you under CoB, so no worries
