Thread: secret research data

The Gorax is in the game because it was -seen- and -killed-.

It has been proven to exist. Sure it's buggy and rare, but there's proof.

I've -seen- gorax bones with my own eyes.

We have searched every possible place for this research data. It's never been seen, mentioned, found or heard of since it was revealed that a place for it exists in tissues.

Let me repeat this: The developers -don't- respond to players. They -don't- care about our little issues. They never ever tell us -anything-. This is NOT going to change.

They even lied to our BEcorrespondant about new pet checks in the last publish.

By your set of rules, anything and everything could exist in SWG. Hell, just because I can't find a volkswagenstuck in agungan statue's headdoesn't mean it's not there unless a dev says it isn't, right?

You show me some research data and then I'll be convinced, otherwise be satisfied that the dedicated BE's that set out to find this stuff for three weeks strait never found it, and thus it either isn't in the game, or isn't meant to be found/used.

I just don't like being told I'm pulling stuff out of my ass after I took all the time and effort to find this information. I'm trying to help people here with what I know, and your turning around and claiming I'm bull**edit**ting because a -DEVELOPER- didn't confirm my findings?

Where's Talth, let him tell you it's not in the game, or at the very least, it's not currently accessible by players.

Gotta agree with Nancyj on this one. Sorry but you do not know. Your best guess is it is not here.

*bangs head against wall*

The burden of proof is not on me, folks.

We investigated it, it's not on live.

If you want to delude yourself into thinking it's hidden in some secret dungeon or drops off some rare mutant puppy, feel free.

I have -no- idea why you are refusing to accept that fact, but it's a free forum.

Just don't get mad when people laugh at you when you ask where this nonexistent secret data drops.

And you still do not KNOW... your best guess is it isn't. But you do not KNOW. Bang your head all you like. Rant... Rave... Call Names... whatever makes you feel good in your own little world. But you do not KNOW.

I accept fully that it is probably not in the game at this time. But your abuse does not amount to proof. No matter how much you would like it to. You do not KNOW.

Your startinga debateover Semantics?!..

Ugh, this is what I get for letting myself get baited into a stupid arguement.

Think what you want. I've stated the facts.

This would be a good question for Talth. Anyone seen him here or in-game lately?

Although I'm sure there's something in the galaxy somewhere that the devs have hidden so cleverly that 300,000 people playing who-knows-how-many-hours per week haven't been able to find, I don't believe that secret research data for bio-engineers is it. I have a pretty substantial RL so I don't spend a huge amount of time in-game, but I'm a MBE and keep current with what's going on.

I had fervently HOPED that this would be a drop in the Geo Dungeon (of course, the contents of the Geo lab aren't really designed for crafter-scientists like us, they're designed for large groups of combat professionals), but my Episode Four is that this will be part of a BE-specific quest. Sadly, it doesn't look like there will be any such quest until after publish 11 (based on current publish details). Of course, at that point, the devs will be busy fixing all the problems with the space expansion....

So speaking of this:

I have been trying everything, i even though maybe the samples of bees and flies we get from lair

then thinking janta blood can be used in Dr. shematics, might be something like that.

anyway, could it be something we already have, but just haven't thought to put it in our inventory when we are crafting?

Technically its scientifically impossible to prove the non-existance of anything - but lets not get philospohical here.

I'm trying to help people here with what I know, and your turning around and claiming I'm bull**edit**ting because a -DEVELOPER- didn't confirm my findings?

Presenting speculation as pure fact is NOT helping people.
The correct answer to the question is - No-one knows, or more specifically - despite extensive searching, no-one who cares to share the information on the forum, has found the secret research data.

"Just because it hasnt been found doesnt mean it doesnt exist"

Just like Captain Ackbar and Luke Skywalker were not in the game for the first few months - making the rebel theme park unfinishable (this despite a press release that said Luke was in the game!).

If it hasn't been found it is probably best to assume that it does not exist - that is what history has shown a few times in this game.

HA HA HA.. So it IS in the game somewhere! Just one or two pieces. At least, that's why I got from the above quote.

Here is where I got it from.

What I get from that is Thunderheart doesnt have a clue whether its in or not and no-one will tell him (or he didnt bother asking) and saying that there may be a few rare pieces of data in the game will shut us up while we all go look for it while they 'develop the slot'

PROBABLY - that is not confirmation.

just read the comment by thunderheart on a previous thread, mentioned earlier in this thread. he said

"Help me out here. I havent been through the dungeon on live. What is "Secret Research Data" and why do you think its in the bunker? Did the herald tell you that?"

wonder what he meant by the herald. is this item a mission reward?
