Thread: A message from the BE designer
I wanted thte ability to make creatures.
Its too bad that Creature handlers and heck even normal people have limits to what they can have.
But anywise...as sort of pay back for this problem I have made it my personal mission to give free pets to people.
I can make Banthas and Kahmurrhas....so I give them away to people for free.
Hopefully when everyone's slots are fileld the cry for more slots will become bigger...
I made some suggestions....about structures for people to be able to store creatures....even a robot to carry some...so that people could bring them along and sell them.
But i don't know if anyone saw the message.
Anywise...the Tissue fixes are an excellent start....fixing the problems to the things we have is going to be very excellent.
Now if only I had Tissue skills right now....oh well...
they arnt fixing chef so whats the point of making BE Chef Tissues any beter?
I mean no chef in there right mind will but them sence the foods that can be enhanced by them suck so bad to begin with and cost less to make then the be component themselves.
where is milk?

Droid engineers aren't alone. I finally gave up CM completely this weekend just because the skill points weren't worth the problems with the profession. Outside of Holo saying they're on the CM crafting issues, we have received ZERO communication, same with just about all the medic professions. BE's are a lucky lot indeed, their developer seems to be very good at keeping them up to date with what's happening.
I don't know why everyone seems to think that every profession (there are about 33 of them, aren't there?) has it's very own developer and that he or she has the time to read the boards each and every day. We posta lot of stuff here, gang, and I don't really see there being 33 developers (and are they the coders too?) in the Verant team (not including team leads, programmers, suits and CSRs).
My guess is that each dev has a bunch of professions they work on, or they work on a project/task basis. In which case demanding total devotion to your profession is a bit out there. As I posted in another place today, it's kind of like looking at the orange in your hand saying "I'm not at all happy with this apple!". ![]()
Confirmed; skill mods aren't properly calculated if you log off with those modded clothes on. Even if you take the clothes off then relog (even all the way out of the app or a /quit), then they stay thatmessed upfor a long time.
One question.
Please define the term 'next big update'. Not asking for a date and time, just would like to know if you are talking about a large patch group like the one that just happened recently (195 seperate points fixed/adjusted)or is it the story update or is it when vehicles and mounts come in or is it SWG2?
Yeah that lastone was a bit childish.. but couldn't resist.
The reason I am asking this, besides the obvious, is if today I say I am going to the movies 'next friday' that would mean the 19th, completely skipping 'this Friday' the 12. So are we looking at skipping the upcoming 'big update' and waiting on the 'next big update'?
Very very very cool! thanks so much for this update. The dev that works on BE may not be the fastest, and may produce bug-ridden stuff, but he does keep us informed at least, lol.
I'm personally really looking forward to the tissue stuff, but like others have asked, why not fix the schematics rather than removing them? Also I still don't get why we have schematics that require domesticated meat, seafood, egg, milk etc. These items are all unobtainable in one way or another (either because they simply don't exist, or cannot be gathered in reasonable quantities to make them worthwhile). For stuff that requires seafood and egg, if you insist on keeping those ingredients there, how about making it worthwhile at least. These should be very very very powerful schematics then to justify such an effort to obtain these items.
Good news and bad news, still just words.
Timetable?
"next major update" and "not next major update"... on average I've seen a > 1MB download about once every two weeks, is that a "major update"? By "not next major update" do you mean the 2nd "major update"? So this means we'll see the tissue fix(es) go in two weeks from now and the cloning fixes go in after about a month?
I'll leave off the snide remarks about being in the midst of Beta 4 and all, but a month seems to be a lot extreme. I know the changes being made involve an overhaul of several systems, and I appreciate the work being done, however maybe in the name of not torturing the customer any more than necessary, this could be made happen a little sooner? Like tissues this week, and cloning week after next (assuming work done of course)? That still puts us waiting 3 weeks for a "fixed" class that we've all been struggling away at in the hopes that "soon" will come before the next connection fee.
Thanks for the information so far, I request respectfully that vague timetable terms be left out of these reports though. Please, just tell us a date and be done with it. "next major update" is way too vague. If you miss the date, just post here ON THAT DATE what's being done and a brief blurb as to why the date was missed... I do not believe that is asking for too much.

woohoo!!!
Hummm... Told a talior in game today that the one medical tissue that they use will be gone in the near future... lets say they where not too pleases...
Oh yeah!! Like it has not been said before fix the Clone line first... its what made me get into this class!!!

Medicine Use & Taking Cover were removed
Question: does this mean there are no more biosensors? or just that they now just give bonuses to wound/injury treatment without benefiting medical use? I'm hoping it's the latter because otherwise this is a big blow to us "tissues" guys
Is this a Joke? The only tissue that has any use whatsoever is being removed? Do you not understand that people that wear CLOTHS do not care about a bunch of melee skills and the people that do (medics, business people) do?
Skill bonus' will not stack becauseyou can figure out how to do it correctly? OMG that's just funny.
Pretty colored pets!!!! WOOOHOO that worth wasting an entire line of skill on!! NOT!
You removed clothing decay so tailors will have absolutly nothing to do in a few months after everyone has all the cloths they want. People have just descovered the + to medical use... made a new life for the tailors... So your removing it...NICE WORK!
You obviously have no Idea what to do with this profession. Pets in general have pretty much made this game a joke. Your alowing people to use people Stims on pets, killing that part of the BE line. Tissues are basicly worthless. And younoware stallingl longer with pretty colored pets until you have some idea what your going to do with this profession. You couldn't even cover this up with the post dated 6-25! So it appears that you planned this worthless post ahead of time knowing you haven't a clue what to do.... The game is dieing. People are already bored. Crafters have nothing to do. This Profession could create a massive twist to this game. Add some major life toEVERY other profession... Show some vision! Do something bold and do I right...
Come on Ralph, don't repeat the same mistakes you made with UO and get it right with UO2 errrr SWG...
I'm just the messenger? Your in charge, everything is your fault.....!!!!!!!
