*Notices that Tiggs has not openly wandered back into this thread for a few pages.*
Let's give the new dev a chance, gang. It might not be the end all, but it could at least be a pinky toe in the door . . .

Hi
I have been playing this game since the first day. Well actually the first day did not even work, so sincethe second day.
I got toons in two different accounts from force sensative to Master CH and most of the rest.
I absolutely love this game and the friends I made online playing it. But having said that I have absolutely NO hope for anyting will be done to fix the professions mainly CH and the rest of the so called combat balance.
I find it very insulting when a developer pops every few months and asks about what is wrong with our profession.
He or she might be a nice person, but guess what? to me, he or she is here to insult us by toying with us again and again.
How many more polls do you guys need? So please stop asking us what is wrong. Everything is said countles times already.
I will respectfully ask you to please do something about CH or do notask our opinionsagain.
best regards
murat

First I have to say that from all professions I tried so far carbineer is the one I liked most. It is great fun in PvE and all the specials seem to work correctly (I have not tried leg shot 2 & 3 yet).
In general I am very satisfied with carbineer profession. And what I think should be changed:
1. HAM costs and speed:
- The HAM costs are definitely too high. Should be reduced.
- Speed: Well I think riflemen should not be able to shoot faster than carbineers. Even give us more speed bonuses or let riflemen have less than us.
2. Damage types:
- We would do fine with an additional damage to the ones we have right now. I would love to see a new carbine with kinetic damage and AP2.
Thanks for your time Tiggs. And thanks to the Devs for this very very nice profession!

Currently CM get griefeda lot. 90% of the time after a round of PVP I get tells similar to "Get a real profession n00b!". It's getting bad enough that I almost want to just drop CM and go do TKM, and become yet another defense stacker.

I dunno...personally I like when people tell me to get a real profession or call me a n00b
.
Because no matter what they think, we (CMs) know that it takes months to get the needed resources and millions upon millions of credits to get a +120 Exp suit.

I dunno, guys. It looks like we're just talking to ourselves again....

Just for kicks, I ran some numbers on the Devs postings to figure out if Dancers had gotten their fair share of attention. I counted about 50 public boards Devs"would" post in, so this doesn't include SOE, Correspondant, Dev, Beta, Trade, or Galaxy board posts.

So, as I see it, Dancers are owed about 235 Dev posts at least mentioning the word "Dance" in them--they don't have to be posted on this forum, most of the Dev posts I found mentioning dance weren't on the Dance forums, they were tucked away in safe places where no dancer would ever think to check, so they wereprettysafe from any replies or feedback.
Right now the only Devs not on my dirt list are Shug_Ninx, Ood_Bnar, MuyMucho, JDonham, and Chrysalide. Tiggs only has 5 more posts to do before she's taken off the dirt list--really, TH is the person who has the most catching up to do. 109 posts, TH...you'd better get crackin'!
(There are a bunch of Devs who've been posting in the Beta forums, not necessarily about dancers, but since they've never chosen to post in the public forums, I'm not mentioning their names. I figure that for whatever reasons, their names aren't for public viewing.)

Well Tiggs its been a week and ive already posted my primary concern for this profession and am just following up with what is a common theme here
combat revamp being applied to us last year as ch and communication with dev's seems to be in the majority of post's here.
Just wondering if you are still here reading things, yea I know your busy lol
Just wondering if you could give us a little "hey folks been reading your post's, dont worry I haven't forgotten about you all" anything you might say here to let us know your still alive and lurking might help us believe that communication may just be improved.
or in the least a token reply from you to give us faith that at least one red name here cares
I dont mean to sound sarcastic or negative but it is part of the reason hope is waning here.
thanks for listening

As a commando for nearly 5 months I feel like I know the profession fairly well and will try to reflect that in the following post. The Flamethrower works very very well, we all know that. The Launcher Pistol does what it is supposed to, just VERY limitedly. The Heavy Acid Rifle is not useless, but as I stated with the Launcher Pistol it's very very limited. No armor piercing and slow, mildly damaging specials aren't worth the time invested in the experience to use the weapon in the first place.
The grenades are great, however they are inaccurate and costly on our HAM. Heavy weapons on the other hand are highly damaging and a blast to use. I don't know a single commando that doesn't smile when his/her rockets go boom. But, they are expensive and somewhat rare as weaponsmiths don't like to craft low volume items that cost more to build than they are able to recover in selling costs.
Summation;
Specialized abilities with our Launcher Pistol, an HAR that is functional and versatile, and Grenades that are more accurate and more HAM friendly. I personally believe that a Commandos defenses are just, as the damage capability of said Commando (even now as it stands) is QUITE high. Commando is one of the more enjoyable professions in the game and it is a shame to see it in the shambles it resides in now. I hope the Combat Revamp changes things.
