I looked through the architect FAQ thread and it doesnt cover anything about experimentation. The reason I am asking is that I remember someone told me that architect experimentation didnt do much. Can someone tell me what the benefits of the architect experimentation skills are? And would something with say +10 in architect experimentation be worth anything or is it a useless item?

I would hardly say that the experimentation points are worthless, there are just only so many things that are worth experimenting on. Pretty much Harvestors are the only thing you will need your experimentation points for, and those can be a lucrative business, but if you have good resources then experimentation is pretty easy. i would certainly be willing to pay well for architect experimentation skill tapes.

It's useless, give it to me and I will dispose of it for you for free


seriously, +10 will give you an extra experimentation point, this is not necessary under current game conditions, unless you have not yet reached 10 exp points, but I would definitely not part with this item if I had it.

Keep it. The extra point will come in handy and make it well worth it. Otherwise, you could fetch a healthy cred auctioning it off or outright selling it to someone.

I see you are on Bria like me. If you check the trade forum you will see that a +8 went up for auction a couple of days back. I was bidding on it and at around 1.5 million I asked the buyout price. 6 million, and it was snapped up straight away by the guy I was bidding against. I seriously think he overpaid, but nevertheless that gives you some indication of what can happen. You do need to get lucky and find somebody who seriously wants it to achieve that kind of level, but if it is +10 in a single tape then that is worth considerably more than clothing with stacked +10 attachments.

But really, what's the difference between a BER13 and a BER14 over a period of 5 to 7 days? I just crafted my first heavy the other day (didn't have an interest in crafting them before, but I was bored) and I got them up to BER13. I don't have any ehancements whatsoever save for having crafted it in a research metropolis. BER13 is better than a kick in the pants. And people tend to be attracted to the significantly lower initial purchase price.


So if you're content with not being able to get that "precious" BER14 then I'd sell it for some mad cash and be done with it.

You cannot make a BER 14 heavy, the only harvester that you can make to BER14 is a Fusion. 14 heavies were only possible for 1 day after publish 7, max is back to BER13 now.

Oh... well structure complexity is useless. Or at least it has no known use or benefit.


From the FAQ:


Q-0.6: How much is this +X Structure Complexity tape worth? What does Structure Complexity do?


Currently there is no known benefit to Structure Complexity. Structure complexity skill enhancement attachments have little value.

about how much should a 10 pt MAS hope for in exp on the 2nd row?


here is what Ive gotten using a 44.96 crafting station:


kinetic layer - 91%

dont think Im going to get to much higher


adv comp seg -> 79%

been having really bad luck with my segments, 79% seems to be the absolute best, yielded a 34% base seg


comp armor -> 72%

should I try for any higher?


all that combined yielded a 64% base, I would like to get it higher
