From a non-Bio Engineer:


Bio-Engineers should be able to modify creatures captured in the wild. This would then complement what the CH's can do. For example, up the armor rating of a weaer MOB with the DNA from a Heavy armored MOB. Then there would be a reason to buy the modifications and there would be no dual pet source. Changing attack types could be done as well, with better and more diverse possiblities at the higher levels. Perhaps having, a CH bring multiple pets to be merged into a single pet. Many possibillites that could have been pursued.

I would like to see more weapons period. While Kinetic damage goes hand and hand with Melee....Pikeman are better off in the long run with a larger array of weapons in the Brawler Tree. For themost part Brawlers are tanks....period. We are very limited what we can do as brawlers, and that limitation carries over into the elite trees.


So I would say more weapons. Not stronger weapons just different damage types.


I would also like to see Stun and Blind state effect actually mean something. Currently there is little difference in using these specials and not using them....atleast from what I can see.


And even though this next part isn't specifically for brawlers, It would be nice to have PVE creatures do more then kinetic. As it if currently anyone with compo armor can solo just about everything in this game (if said person has the correct elites).


The use of Warcry has been, for the most part, all but eliminated (perhaps for a good reason) but it would be nice to have some uses for it.

I think one of the main problems for a BE, is that they are one of the few classes that only make things for other people's use! There is nothing really interesting (Besides pets that are usless) that they can make/do.


Just a personaly opinion... But wouldn't it make more sense if it was the BE that buffed? Not the doctor? Some ideas for some new things for BE's to make are:


1: Chemical 'Potions' that allow ANYONE to cure status effects!


2: Implants or artificial limbs (Luke's hand) that add to stats. Example would be, if you have a artificial right hand, youare steadier, so you get a speed/accuracy bonus, or a damage bonus to melee. But of course these would limited per person (No half robots walking around =P) and decay. What would be a bad thing is though, maybe you could have a 10% chance of a person having a critical blow to your limb abd it breaks, then you would have negitive effects.


4: Able to clone people at the nearest cloning center from anywhere. They have remote access to all cloning centers!

It is minor compared to most, but I would like the tissue schematics to display the proper weighting of 50% Overall Quality / 30% Potential Energy / 20% Flavor instead of the incorrect 33/33/33 they do now.

Both new and old BEs that are unaware of the true quality ratings are being mislead by the incorrect numbers listed in game.

As a Bounty Hunter, and bare in mind this has been my only proffession since launch, my goal is too kill people. Climbing the ladder of my proffesion I became disappointed that my prey wasn't the challenge, it was the game, or more specifically the bugs, but I don't want this to be a big bug rant. So besides bug the hunts became a bore, always chasing them along predictable paths, always having to kill them. To spice it up I would suggest different requirment to a succesful hunt, such as capture, rescue,and demolition, along with giving the lone mark some friends I think this would make things exciting.


So once I became master I quit hunting, with the tiny amount of profit I get from each mission why should I? I did my best in the GCW with my guild, we had great fun blowing bases and striking fear in to the rebels. That was great and all, though I got tired of being the first to die.


Then came the jedi, after they started to appear we were told it was the BHs duty to wipe them out. Until Patch 9 however the jedi hunt was next to impossible, not because of their skills but because of the bugs, yet again. Don't get me wrong, on occasion I did find my mark and killed him, some became great at this, forming networks and alliances, and I'm glad for the friends i made through this dark time.


So now most of the time I can hunt my jedi marks with no problems. My main disappointment now is that I find the majority of the BH tree usless for killing the jedi. I use TKM to kill them, I only keep my pistol skill for the rare occasion I have to kill their bike from under them. Other problems with jedi missions are well known, TEFs, target offline, payout.


After doing nothing but hunting jedi lately i'm even a little board of that, there are usualy two outcomes, the jedi was in some way ill prepared and dies in seconds or I am somehow prevented from attacking. Rarely are they real battles. Perhaps new player missions(smugglers or tied to the GCW) could shake things up.


In the end I still enjoy being a BH, or at least the idea. In my mind no other proffesion has real content like ours, perhaps jedi.

In point form:

- more challenging NPC missions

- more player marks

- usefull combat vs. jedi

- mission payoutsshould beat least on par withother mission types

With respect to fixing of CL calculations, I propose it be delayed until such time as CH is made more viable compared to other combat professions. I estimate you will need the Force-Sensitive "Persuasion" powers to cause "frustration alleviation" to come before "stopping the bad, bad customers from doing what we don't want"

First, the pistol and carbine trees.


Check it out, in order for a pistoleer or carbineer to be on a level playing field with a rifleman he/she needs to grab the bh tree for thier weapon along with mastering thier class. Remove the pistol and carbine trees from bh and redistribute them among pistoleer and carbineer. BAM! rifles, pistols, and carbines are now for the most part balanced. It shouldn't cost a carbineer/pistoleer so many more points to get a riflemans power level. Add in new bh only weapons or something. Or a traps and defenses trees, but lower sp costs because that would require combat skills coming from elsewhere.


Make the LLC have bonuses against saberblock.Or, fix saber block. Let state effects get through. And maybe let some state effects lower the block amount. The fact that state effects can't get through saber block is one of the bigger problems. I wouldn't mind running around, kitting a jedilong enough to land a couple lucky shots in a row if i could keep that jedi blinded, stunned, and get an occassional dizzy/knock down against them. But right now, kitting a jedi just delays your death. And not by much. 85% saber blockis fine. really. state effects not getting through, however, is not fine. State effects are one of the most important things in this game. And notbeing able to use them against jedi is the biggest bh vs. jedi issue that i see.


The master box really is useless.


Player bounties!!! Return money for jedi bounties! Oh, and for a jedi bountie to be worth it money wise... would need to be in the 300k area. Have you ran janta missions? 1 mil+ per buff session. What about exploiting!? Put a timer on your kills. Like with pvp points. Can only kill the same jedi once per day. Solved money farming. Solved greifing for the most part.


When jedi hunting with friends, if you don't death blow, you keep the mission, and the tef. The mission needs to succeed if anyone in your group gets he death blow to avoid griefing.


But my main concern is the bugs. Droids don't work again, and the losing tef problem is really a pain in the butt.


PLEASE add a way to see faction on the terms. My guild won't let me hunt imp jedi, so i waste far too much time hunting down jedi just to find out he's imp. darn, back to kadara, wasted an hour My jedi list is over 200 long now, and its getting to be a real pain to upkeep it.


Houses. A jedi can use any structure in the game as a garunteed escape. Some even go as far as to put down houses by where they are hunting at the time. Thats a real pain in the ass. How about letting bomb droids go into houses?


Bounty hunter armor looks stupid.


NO JTL CONTENT! Not being able to collect bounties on jedi in space is going to ruin the class. Lets add up the wasted time....


Jedi logs off, wasted time

Loss BH tef, wasted time

Jedi is a faction you don't want to kill, wasted time

Droid didn't work, wasted time

Jedi ran into a structure, wasted time

Jedi is playing JTL, yet another big old fat wasted time added to the list. I suspect allot of JTL playing going on, even with jedi. Heck, they probably get jedi exp from jtl. Which would mean, do all your grinding in space and never get attack by bounty hunters again! yippee!!


I don't see the defense of a bh as an issue. They are suppose to be high offenense, low defense. Thats cool, and fits in with the class nicely as its really a sneak attack class, and not a head to head fighting class. But the offense currently doesn't make up for the low defense.


Oh ya, fixing the weapon switch thing would probably fix the bh's offense problems. But ONLY if state effects can get through saber block. BH weapon switching was all about state effects after all.I have my doubts about that though. I never did do the weapon switching as i became a BH shortly before the delay was added. I think the offense fix might require something a bit more drastic but i'm just guessing there.

Hi Tigg! Thanks for the post!

Let me say that my top 5 takes into account the TEF and "not online" bug being fixed first and fast!

1.) Weapon delay timer. It is odd that a prof that needs to master different weapons is hindered like every other prof in being able to switch weapons. This is a real killer for MBH. I wanna lay down sprayshot with carb then be able to switch to a scatter and lay down torso shot. No way can I do that in PvP now.

2.) A 75 difficulty mission only pays out 15K?!? Time to un-nerf this and bring back the high payouts for jedi missions. I would be broke if my alt was not a master Janta killer.

3.) People say BH don't have enough defense but I would like to see us have more offense. I see BH as a prof that sneaks up on it's target and takes them out with a few well place shots and does not have to worry about defense.

4.) LLC. What is the point of this except a good lair killer. Worthless weapon and tree.

5.) Maybe the most important (IMHO): Mando armor... WHERE IS IT?!? Black Suns have not been dropping BH armor in forever and I don't think anyone has crafted any pieces on the Tempest server. Either increase the drops (which is desperately needed) or make the DWB a little easier to do so we can start seeing more Mando armor crafted. I want to look like Boba Fett damnit!

My concerns are:


1) LD Exploit for Jedi Bounties: Jedis and Dark Jedis go LD to avoid getting a TEF and to remove the Bounty Hunter TEF.


2) Increase Payouts for Jedi Bounties: 15,000 isn't something to be proud. If killing a Jedi takes skill, there ought to be more payment to it. Perhaps around a hundred, thousand, depending on the difficulty of the target.


3) Defence Modifiers: We need'em!

In my opinion, the most pressing issue with BH right now, immediately, is the "Target Not Online" bug. Jedi tracking was working perfectly between one of the 9.x pubs and Publish 10. Then Publish 10 arrived and droids now work only about half the time on Jedi.


Simply put, if you cannot find or track your target, every other issue is irrelevant. For example, even with the TEF bugs, there are ways to work around them, such as having two bounty hunters with the same mission, have one grab the mission again while the other continues to track the Jedi.

Right now, mission rewards in terms of cash are pitiful... an investigation 3 mark is at most 20-25K, and that's an NPC mark. I personally would like to see NPC bounties as an alternative for making cash while traveling and sightseeing... I think an investigation 3 mission should rake in probably more like 50K, inv 4 100K and a master should have access to 150K , 200K and also "legendary" bounties. Legendary bounties should appear at least once every few refreshes on the terminals. They could have a payout of as high as 500K or so... The difficulty of the mark should be very high however, i'm thinking something along the lines of a Battle droid from the DWB (a regular BD, nota super one...)

The mark would have to be taken down by the BH only, so he has to do over 80% of the damage to the target when it dies so he can get the payout (no grouping to farm for cash). The marks would move very quickly and it could take up to an hour to get face to face with it...

Jedi bounties: Jedi bounties need a better payout also. The payout should depend on the skill level of the jedi. They could be as high as 700K for the best FRS jedi.

Regular Player bounties: We'd like to see those implemented, there is already a strong response from smugglers so that they could somehow become our marks as part of a new smuggling revamp.

The small things:
We need a clearer way to see Jedi missions on terminals, the only way to differenciate them right now is to check the payout. Maybe highlight them or make them be a different color in the list.

LLC line: It needs better accuracy to be more useful in PVP, maybe a HAM targeted special..
Pistols Line: Bleeding shot is not really useful in PVP, almost pointless in PvE. Torso Shot and eye shot are good specials...
Carbines line: The specials are okay, but they are mainly all the same: Ranged KD/Dizzy... They are not effective vs jedi who can either deflect 90% of the shots or who can heal themselves while knocked down...

I managed the other day to range KD/Dizzy a jedi, he healed himself right there on the ground and proceeded to kill me.

The overall feeling is that someone only doing BH as a combat profession has no chance against jedi due to their high saber blocking rate... Only 10% of our shots hit most of the time and on top of that there's the 75% pvp damage reduction, and on TOP no armor is resistant to lightsaber attacks... Pretty unbalanced if you ask me.

That's about it... to sum it up:
Revamp our combat tree (probably adressed with the combat rebalance anyways)
Player bounties...
Better payouts...
