Below is the entry from the FAQ.

Q-5.3: What should I charge for a building/harvester/piece of furniture??

A-5.3: Short answer: Specific prices that you choose are going to be very server dependent. No price is too high if your customers will gladly pay it and no price is too low if you make a good enough profit.

Here is a thread with some example prices from various architects, note that this information is dated and does not represent every server so your mileage may vary:

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=architect&message.id=67514

Copy/paste from ZenDragonMLS -

"Find the vendors for many of the Master Architects on your server. Go visit them. Copy down the prices. Talk with miners and ask them where they get their harvesters and how much they pay. Check the Bazaar for furniture prices. Check the Trade Forum for your server.

Then sit down and figure out what kind of business *you* want to run. If you want to be a low-cost / high-volume guy, then figure out how you can keep your operating costs as low as possible and yet pump out lots of stuff (high-volume means you will need extra lots and/or people to mine for you). If you want to focus on furniture, then you need to make sure that your vendor always has a large selection on it and you need to advertise a lot. If you want to only service miners by making high-end heavy harvesters, then figure out the economics of *their* business and charge for your harvesters based on their payback (e.g., selling someone a money-making machine that never decays for an amount that they can earn back in 2-4 days is not a recipe for long-term success.)

You get the idea: price is only *one* aspect of your whole business model. Think through how you want to play and pick your prices to fit that model. Whatever you do, don't take some "rule of thumb" like "charge X credits per unit of resources that it takes you to build it" and call it a "business model". Take more control over your business than that."

instead of asking you to go else where, or redirecting you... I'll actually answer the question. I charge 50k for ber 10 minerals. I see them going for 25k on some vendors, I buy them up and sell them off for 50k.... and they sell. That's up from the 40k before JTL, but demand and over all resource prices have increased since then as well.

How exactly do the economies on Flurry and Gorath compare?

Are you at the high end or the low end for Flurry? How does Dvnces prices fit into the Gorath pricing picture? Is he the most expensive or the cheapest?

I guess I shouldthrow in my price from Kettemoor right? How does Kettemoor's economycompare to that of Gorath? Is Gorath stronger demand or weaker? Are there more suppliers on Kettemoor or Gorath? Is the average selling price higher on Gorath or Kettemoor?

What about Ahazi? Is Sunrunner higher or lower than Gorath? Are Infinity prices still severely depressed?

Does any of this matter if you're comparing a 12 month old location 800m out of Coronet withvirtually no competitionon one server to a brand new vendor in a player city on Rori with an established archi nearby on another server?

And?We allknow every server has a different economy, every store hasa different location, etc etc, but she just asks what we charge, let her take it from there. So, I'm from Ahazi, and I charge 35K for 62K+ hoppers. I hope this helps.

Irrelivent... he asked a simple question, he didn't want to get into a debate as far as what the economic statndards are... he wanted to know what is being charged. A simple question = a simple answer answer. His decision to charge what he is going to charge will be based off all the factors he get's no need to over analyze something so simple...

May i ask why you dont stop wasting your time on crafting and start selling your mined resources at 10cpu? You wil make a much larger profit, and you can spend your time on drinking brandy or exploring Deep Space

If you are worrying about your resources wont sell as fast as your harvesters, you can sell at 9cpu- or 8.

Which brings me back to the old tune :"Arch's shouldnt sell their products based on the resource used, but on the resource usedandthe time spent" (maybe even take draftschem.-complexity into the equation)

Happy crafting,
