instead of asking you to go else where, or redirecting you... I'll actually answer the question....

How exactly do the economies on Flurry and Gorath compare?

Are you at the high end or the low end for Flurry? How does Dvnces prices fit into the Gorath pricing picture? Is he the most expensive or the cheapest?

I guess I shouldthrow in my price from Kettemoor right? How does Kettemoor's economycompare to that of Gorath? Is Gorath stronger demand or weaker? Are there more suppliers on Kettemoor or Gorath? Is the average selling price higher on Gorath or Kettemoor?

What about Ahazi? Is Sunrunner higher or lower than Gorath? Are Infinity prices still severely depressed?

Does any of this matter if you're comparing a 12 month old location 800m out of Coronet withvirtually no competitionon one server to a brand new vendor in a player city on Rori with an established archi nearby on another server?

Irrelivent... he asked a simple question, he didn't want to get into a debate as far as what the economic statndards are... he wanted to know what is being charged. A simple question = a simple answer answer. His decision to charge what he is going to charge will be based off all the factors he get's no need to over analyze something so simple...

I'm not debating him. I posted my answer without debate. Your comments started the debate. I'm debating YOU.

Prices are entirely relevant to what server you are on. The market varies a lot from server to server. So what use is a price quoted from Flurry to someone on Gorath? Its not over analyizing things to realize that markets vary and that economies are different from one server to another. Its an important detail to consider. Thats why I point it out. If they already realize all that then fine, no harm inme mentioning it. But if they hadn't thought about it or didn't realize to what extent economies vary from server to server and how all the other facters matter then it helps to point it out to people. If they don't want to worry about it and just set a fixed price, then thats their choice to make.

If you want to be critical of other peoples answers like your comments in the yellow bold above then expect someone like me to dispute it. You should expect it.

If you disagree with my kind of answer then thats fine. You are welcome to your opinion. But then don't make the comments critical of other answers. If you don't make such comments then we won't have such debates. If you do want to be critical then we can debate it. Your choice.

...And?We allknow every server has a different economy, every store hasa different location, etc etc, but she just asks what we charge, let her take it from there. So, I'm from Ahazi, and I charge 35K for 62K+ hoppers. I hope this helps.

A lot of people don't know to what extent the economies vary from server to server. We shouldn't assume everyone knows that. And many people really don't consider all the other factors that affect pricing like location etc. Sure plenty of us know all that and take it into account. But we really don't know the underlying goal for why the initial question was asked. More often than not people ask what other people charge in order to use it as a reference for their own pricing.

For spices, I go at 500c each. Or 12,500c for a full crate. Thou I may refigure it, since these are my initial estimates. They seem to be moving well, but like I said, I'll prob drop the price.

For the supplies (auks/wuks/knives/etc) I charge 2500c for a factory crate of 25.

On starsider I don't sell singles of spice, nor do I sell slicing goods (though for slices themselves I never seen to have a problem finding people who are willing to pay anywhere from 10k to 30k for a slice, cost dependant on the persons faction and my mood at the time), crates of spice usually got for 15k, and I've been selling Pixie for the most part as that's what's in higher demand.

ESPECIALLY while spices are stacking, 25k per crate, 1k each, is the least you should be charging.

slices, 15k min. Don't negotiate, just makes your prices look high.

25K per crate minimum, But I see spices selling for as high as 100K/crate here and there. And those aren't just sitting there. I realize that people don't like selling that high when quality doesn't matter and all... But demand is high, and the value of spices is high. Selling low helps noone, and when we're not crafting spices anymore, those lower sale prices are going to hurt us bad. People expect 25 or 50K per crate from me, so when spice becomes DIFFICULT to get ahold of down the road, it'll be less of a shock when my prices bounce up. I sell for 20K a crate on the bazaar if it happens to be a crate I bought off someone's 4K/crate vendor. Yes, I do resell from vendors. I consider it a duty to my profession that I help move public expectation of spice prices towards the direction it will be in the future. Also, well, supply and demand. I sell at 25K-50K a crate and it flies off the shelves. Why on EARTH would I sell it just above cost? That's terrible business. Coke doesn't do business by marking up the cost of manufacturing by a measly 25% or whatever. It costs them something like 5c a can, and they ream you for 75, because the market will bear it.

Slicing... 10-20K, depending on my mood. Every time the person complains or otherwise irritates me, the price goes up, until they get smart or go away. Similarly, Faction I sell at 120 per point *in advance*, and it goes up by 5 every time the person's next statement is an argument. Those increases do NOT go down. If they don't pay me for the slice, I keep their precious weapon until it's paid or until I decide to sell it on a vendor at 4 times the slice price. If you pay the up front for faction and keep ticking me off, I'll just keep it. I make this pretty clear to customers who are starting to tread thin ice,a nd it's rarely a real problem. I've only ever kept one gun, and the CSR the guy called backed me up on it, as did most of the server board where he did his whining about it.
