Thread: nocious kahmurrith dna the real information and rant
"So the closer you get the fortitude to the magic number (I will not give out all the information as I am not here to share my full information ...."
Then we dont want to hear it.
"I usually stay away from the boards."
I appluad your efforts. Please dont deviate from that route. Continue to stay away.
Either post the information or stop wasting people's valuable time. Because quite frankly, we dont care about anything else you have to say
Higher level BEs will also be able to artificially reduce the level of a creature, depending on skill and quality of DNA, such that a creature’s actual level is lower than what its specific stats would define."
Says it all I think. With skill you can do a lot. All the ranting seems to be done by you. My argument has been, from the beginning, that there is no bug or exploit. Some people are more skillfull and understanding of the system then others. There is nothing wrong with that any more then there is anything wrong with people being better at PvP then others. You've been screaming BUG BUG BUG EXPLOIT BUG at the top of your lungs long before you even tested the system evidently. (per your own posts) That damages the ingame community and perpetuated a myth. Ive successful used my system to make a cl16 gurreck with about 8.3k ham on average using only mantigrue screecher dna. Had bad failures in final sampling that destroyed my clones so I didnt get the dna sampels I wanted and didnt get it any lower.
So now you areimplying that Creature Handlers EXPLOITED the system if they tamed Arachne Webmasters before the nerf. Ummm noooo, they didnt. Creature Handlers didn't "take advantage" of the system, it was part of the game. Just like Creature Handlers didn't "take advantage" of Graul Maulers. They were as designed. Somehow you have appointed yourself dev liaison and that you speak for the devs. So when you say I sound like they are going to be nerfed, you are wrong. I don't know what the devs plan. I dont have ESPN. I am not paid (in game or irl)to make such decisions. I am paid ingame to make the best creatures I can so I will. I'll do my job, I'll let the devs do theirs
Lets see how this ingame conversation would go:
Customer: Hey could you make XXXX pet with YYYY and ZZZZ abilities?
Me: "Im sorry but no I Can't. "
Customer: "why?"
Me: "Because Tal-N Says so."
Customer :" Who is Tal-N? Is that a dev?"
Me: Umm no...
Customer : Does he work with the devs?
Me: Noooo
Customer: Guildmaster? President of the United Staes? Your Mother???
Me: NO, No, and no
Customer: Well who is he then?
Me: Umm dont know, just another player on another galaxy
Customer: #$*!$ You are an idiot.
Me: Yes I see your point.
Not to jump in on one side, or the other, of the argument, just some things I noticed from playing around making "uber non-ch" pets.
First some "rules of the uber dna". (At least these are the rules that work for me.) From what I see here, everyone seems to agree on these "rules".
DNA used in physique slot must have light armour.
Fortitude must be 500> for armour to show up.
Armouris equal to40% resist. When armour shows up, total current resist drops by 40%, or reversely if "removed" adds 40% resists [notgreater thenthe orginal stats though]. (Counting for 'game formula' used to determine total resists from dna's used.)
Amour = 10cl. If armour is present, the base creature lvl increases by 10, or reversly, if removed CL drops by an additional 10 levels. This is figured after'game formula' fordeterming lvl from all dna used. (I assume this is based on the fact that if armour is present cl never goes below lvl12, if absent never below lvl2. At least I have never seen a screen shot to the contrary.)
STEP 1: Slot 1 armour dna, slots 2,5 any that has 500> fortitude. Slots 3,4 Newb dna.
STEP 2: Experiment Physique enough to get500> Fotitude(Adding Armour), , experiment Phsyco to max. (halfs cl)
STEP 3: Sample resaulting pet. Put second gen dna in 1,2,5. Newb in 3,4.
STEP 4: Experiment Physique enough to get499 Fotitudeand no more (removing armour), experiment Phsyco to max. (Halfs cl then - 10cl for loss of armour. Now pet should be under lvl10.) (NOTE: May need to repeat step 3 to get under lvl 10.)
Following theabove rules it is easy to make 'uber non-ch' pets, however I would like to point out that while making these pets is easy, Kamurith, DeathHead, and most of the other "armour" dna used to make these pets are from argressive creatures and non-ch can not use argressive pets, only a ch with at least 2/0/0/0 can.
Which brings me to my point, these high HAM/Resists/Damage 'Uber Non-Ch' pets may not be "bugged" or "out of line" if only a ch with 2/2/0/0 can use them.
However on the other side of the argument,I have made a non-agressive 'uber lvl5' creature but it would not 'grow' in my datapad, it stayed at 0(5) cl for 3 days, then i deleted it. (This may have been a bug.)
I would like to ask my fellow BE's, out of curiosity,to test out their Uber <lvl10 pets in their datapads and see if these pets actually even work for non-ch and if they fully grow into their stats.
Thanks for your time,
Drew
ROFL dius that was hillarious. It was over the top, but hilarious.
I kind of agree. I dont agree with the foul way you said it, but the point was made nevertheless.
No one here is "special." When you make a claim, post your evidence. Otherwise, its just an opinion and while it should be respected, its not more valid than anyone elses opinion and shouldnt be held in any sort of higher regard.

The currant system is soo out of balance it is not funny. If the you can't see that, we'll you have no clue...period. What we are capable of makeing now goes against everything the dev's did when they made the CH changes and the creature re-balance. I do agree that we should be able to make better pets than can be found in the wild but not to the degree we are seeing now. The only reason the Dev's have done nothing so far is because they have not been around to do so. I assure you it will be changed...like it or not.
That's my whole point, it just seems to go against all the devs have said, then again they really haven't said very much either.
At any rate, it's how thy made it and how it works. There is no bugged DNA I am sure of that, if there's a bug it's simply in the code that figures the CL of a clone.
I should be able to make all the creatures I make now, some should probably just be higher CL is all.
But, my friend trying to master CH for his holo is sure glad I could give him a CL10 that can tank level 50 creatures, and I'm having loads of fun with trios of pets that are actually useful for the first time. I wouldn't call anything BE's do right now an exploit though.

But what i want to ask is: Do there is really someone here that see a CL 2 10K HAM critters with 300 damage and thinks is not a bug?
I would be amazed if ONE person will say that this is not a bug, overpowered, and completely out of wack, but for some reason this point will be ingonored by many as if it is not present and many will continue to argue other points while skipping this BIG issue.
I think you are right about that...I too believe it has more to do with the way the system is calculateing CL and not so much about buged DNA. Some DNA may affect the bug more than others depending on the nature of the bug.

I'm sure once the Dev's get back from vacation and settled in, thing will be straitened out.
You do realise the CH system and creature rebalance was actually, partially, doneto makeBE's viable, don't you? Thats why so many CH's got PO with us.
Soooo if the system is sooo out of balance that is sooo obvious I must be an idiot not to see it, all that testing that was done on TC was a complete waste of time? The Devs added the system in without trying a few combos/generations themselves and a system thats sooooo out of balance accidently slipped in on the live servers?
So, as a psudodev, you know exactly how this system is supposed to be working, but it isn't within your parameters?
The only thing I agree with is that there are a few pics kicking around that seem to show pets that couldbe powerful if you call this powerful:
Of course, my Rancor would tear it apart and eat it for breakfast as would most creatures on Endor orDathomir and it probably would only do "ok" on a few other planets. "But it's level 2". Soooo what. Non-CH's can use anything in a 1-10 range, so for all intents an purposes it may as well be level 10. Once again, soooo what? Even a Mountain Squill would give this a run for it's money as the thing would have trouble even hitting the Squill once a week.
Actually, I'd be more than happy to set that match up, that pile ofHAM Vs my Rancor, no assistance from 3rd parties, winner takes the losers pet. I doubt the owner would be stupid enough to take the bet. That being the case, is that pet really sooo good and a challange to CH's? Pfft, as a MCH I still haven't made anything that I'd use (Except a neat little Kaadu) as the Devs did a much better job of rounding creatures out balance wise than most of the things I've seen BE's make so far (myself included). If I get lucky and find a Bull Ranc baby, I doubt theres a BE in the game on any server that could make anything that would interest me.
How about you leave the bug calls to the real devs and the insults at home Mr "I-have-a-clue-but-you-don't"?

As an MCH since the 3 Rancor dayshave you seen what the BE's can make? They can make CL20ish pets that out power my CL50 Webmaster. I can call 3 of those and destroy a Rancor. Don't get me wrong, the new pets are amazing that can be made, but it seems a bit off that they nerf all natural pets to allow for BE pets that are superior in stats/power/resist. If this is by design than thats GREAT! I can't wait till I make some of the great pets I have seen posted in this forum for my natural pets can not compare to the ones made. I have been searching for AR1 50%+ Kinetic CL35 natural pets and they do not exist anymore. Only a BE can make such a masterpiece.
For what it is worth I hope this is by design and that the pets made stay, but I still think they are overpowered compared to natural ones.
it's not the point that a rancor could beat that cl2 pet you posted about... it's the point that 25 of those cl 2 pets would tear your rancor apart and eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner... with left-overs. THAT is the inbalance that we are talking about.... CL is supposed to be roughly in line now, that was the WHOLE point of the recent CH/wild creature nerf. BE's are suppoosed to be able to adjust by a few levels, not by 1000% or higher.

Unfortunatly Tal I kinda agree with Duis (and I'm basically on your "side"). This has escalated into a crusade that will result in, not a fix, but an "overfix", taking in a lot more than what you've been asking for and possibly resulting in a return to the "old" days of the BE profession. Anything "powerful" or "too good" in the BE line will get looked at. Remember this, be careful what you wish for...
So, an overfix is the result of people asking the an exploit fix and not because of the people abusing the exploit? Think about it though, the people are asking for the exploit fix BECAUSE other people are abusing the exploit. If no one was abusing it, there wouldn't be a crusade.

9090 health / 4752 action / 4214 mind
43% to everything but stun
140-150 damage / 2.17 speed / 24% accuracy

I do realise the balance is not complete...but it is "mostly" done for CH and Creatures. Next in line is the combat re-balance and profession sweeps. More tweeking will be done on all fronts I'm sure.
Woo woo take it easy man. No one called you an idiot. It is out of ballance...that is plane to see. How out of ballance will be determined by the Dev's that is true. I don't claim to have a Dev in my pocket but I do know about game design and I have been keeping up with what these Devs have in mind. There are more examples of out of balance creations then you mention with far reaching ramifications.
As for not being able to make anything "usefull" that is too bad...I have made many usable pets and I too am an MCH. I guess we have different ideason what is usefull....and ballanced for that matter. ![]()
"How about you leave the bug calls to the real devs and the insults at home Mr "I-have-a-clue-but-you-don't"?" Wow...you need to take a step back and take a deep breath. This isn't worth getting so worked up over. I wans't trying to insult you and if you took it that way...I apoligize.
I have ESPN. It comes with my cable service, along with my uber 4MB cable modem. I hate to disappoint you, but not even ESPN is giving out any sort of clues to the devs plans. Trade rumors, division standings, injury reports, yeah... but still nothing about the SWG devs. I'll stay tuned and keep everyone posted.
