Ok folks being a MBE for just a couple of days i've found a very good...or at least what i think is a very good Recipe for a TANK pet.
1st gen
FG FG
FG AB
AB
2nd gen
FG FG
1G 1G
1G
Now the final outcome will generally get you a lvl 32 - 36 CL creature, depending on what you've used as the 2nd gen and your exp points. But with this 1st gen you geton average aCL 38 depending on how you've used your exp points. Now just talking about these two templates i've used...i try and use all my points on the 1st gen pet in everything except aggression. On the 2nd gen which of course is going to be your final outcome i try to stick to just getting the 500+ in fortitude for the light armour but i've played around by using a couple points and of course thats why i'll get the varied levels of the pet.
I played around just a few moments ago on DNA from another non armoured pet don't beleive it was the 1st gen template i've listed here but it was a CL lvl i think of around 29 -33, and on the second gen i used Frenzied Graul / Rancor / Gen 2 / Gen 2 / Gen 2...this got me a CL of 30 with about the same stats as i would have gotten with the recipe i just posted. Here are the stats on that creature
CL 30
9k / 7k / 5k HAM
Light Armour
53 KR / 32ER / 39BR / 79HR / 79CR/ rest were vuln
attack spd 2.17
to hit .31
damage 130 - 140
1SPA - none 2SPA intimidation
Here are the General stats on the recipe i gave above:
CL 31 - 43
10 - 9k Health / 10 - 6k Action / 9 - 4k Mind
55 - 60KR / 31 - 40ER / 83 - 64BR / 40 - 84CR and HR / around 2 - 4 AR / rest are vuln
Attack spd 2.04 - 2.43
to hit .2 - .43
damage 100 min - 300max
i've gotten 2 specials to stick at a time but normally these are the specials that can stick - Knockdown / intimidation / Crippling strike / stunning strike
*note - FG - frenzied graul / AB - A Bol / 1G - 1st generation
**note - I'm sacrificing damage pretty much for resists / HAM as most people want Tanks
I hope i've explained this fluidly and it doesn't sound too much like a jumble of words...PM or Email / tell me anytime with questions. I hope this will help.

k not to mess up your helpful string or anything, but i'm new at master be and am wondering what you mean by first, second, or third generation. I understand that each genetic requires 5 skins.. is there anything special you can do to the genetic template afterwards? or what?

Why did you bother posting in this thread if you weren't going to give the 2nd gen you were using?

Guess this is an entry for pvp pet given everyone is carrying a stun baton around...pets are not very useful for pvp but with the weapon switching delay this could really annoy a fencer
Level 44 Narglatch
10837/10155/7194
Light Armor
50% kinetic
50% energy
50% heat
100% blast
100% stun
20% electricity
20% acid
cold vuln
460-470 damage
Blinding & Stunning Strike
This is a first generation too if I recall correctly but is definitely all the same sample...easy to make but a pain to collect...Insane Mantigrue Berserker

CL: 35
HAM: 10730/6637/5417
Armor: Light
Kinetic: 58%
Energy: 53%
Heat, Electricity, Acid: 39%
Damage: 190-200
Specials: Blind/Cripple
I know this thread is sorta dead, but since this is a variation of Arthur's GVT submission I felt it fitting to post a follow-up.
The way I modified it was to use some Thune Grassland Guardian in the first slot. Sacraficed some Kinetic but the vunerabilities let me put a little more into the secondary HAM attributes. I also used some Prowling Gurreck for the specials. Anyhow, the recipe:
1st Gen: TGG / GVT / GVT / GVT / PG
Exp: Max Phys & Psyc. 1 in Ment & Prow
2nd Gen: Gen1 / Gen1 / Gen1 / Gen1 / Gen1
Exp: Max Phys & Psyc. 1 in Ment & Prow
3rd Gen: BMBQ / BMBQ / Gen2 / Gen2 / Gen2
Exp: Max Phys & Psyc.
HAM: 10730/6637/5417
Armor: Light
Kinetic: 58%
Energy: 53%
Heat, Electricity, Acid: 39%
Damage: 190-200
Specials: Blind/Cripple

I am sensing a trend here with the merek harvesters. Are these a proven way to lower CL on anything, at least in 2nd gen?
MH has a special place in every BEs heart because of their cool resists. They have a massive 75% Kin resist, and no other resists greater than 10%. If you are pushing for lowering the CL, you try to nuke the resists you dont need, while keeping the ones you do as high as possible...hence why MH is so special. (Oh yeah, theres also a static spawn so they are quite easy to come by)
