Thread: Grinding tip
luke-- just tested it.. works fine for me.. (looked at the skillpage and it says i got xp.. make sure you're getting xp.. it will generally just do that, but give u xp.. hehe)
to others above, thanks for the /dump info.. works nicely.. added the macro today... .. man.. do u guys actually go through all that trouble of restarting, reloading the game, or doing this or that? man.. before i knew about /dump, i just switched to another toolbar and ignored the fact that the macro was pressing empty keyslots... heh
Thanks, Ter.
Hmm. I sure hope it's working again when I log in today.
The versatility of the macro ability will be the downfall and death of crafting professions in this game...
Titles mean nothing when thereis no accomplishment behind them
.
lol you really try all the numbvers for schematics lolllllz
okay here is the short cut
open you datapad (ctrl d)
open data schematics and start counting from left to right from foist column
dont forget in this game all first things are numbered as 0
so first sche is 0
second is 1
third is 2
goodluck

My house gone
Just so you guys will know, I was doing this and I could see that there was some lag that was preventing the kits to open fast enough, so I got in and was putting pauses in. Trying and getting errors, more pauses. Then my macro was missing. So I relogged, crashed, relogged, crashed to desktop. Rebooted and when I got back in game, where I logged from my house, I resurfaced 6000 meters away. When I got back, my house was gone. And it was maintained. I lost sooo much stuff.
Here's another tip so that if you feel like changing your grinding items its easier than going in and line-for-line changing all those /sel ## commands . Use an alias ) Example: ' /alias myschematic /sel 31'
when you type this command in you will get the response 'alias set'
now you add the command /myschematic into your macro immediately following the /ui action toolbarSlot## command line, and you have your very own quickly customizeable grinding macro. The number 31 is only an example as it represents the food and chemical crafting tool on MY character )
Now I KNOW there are people out there who have tips on how to customize this macro even further, and/or variations of this macro that are useful in different situations. This macro makes so many of our lives so much easier and this thread is so great come on guys, keep it going, and let the rest of us in on your 'elite' crafting secrets )
thanks-

The misguided scatter-brained Rodian Master Slacker
I Have two accounts and was hesitant about leveling a 2nd toon to Bio engi, I used this method allow with just harvesting Meat, and along with a nice big fat lone from my self to my 2ndary alt. I was able to learn up Org I-IV in about 5hrs and the survival xp too about another 8 hours.
so all in all roughly about half a days work to get to novice bio engi.
I'll post part of my old Constrictor Cloth macro. The draft schematic is a different number for every player. The number is determined by the order that you received the schematic as your skills advanced. The best way I found to find the number is start at 00 and work my way up writing down everything that I could make. I had 5 crafting tools, and the end of this macro would call the next crafting station and repeat the macro. I could make 5 CC in practice mode in about 1 minute. You burn through a lot of organics this way though, so stock up!
/ui action toolbarSlotxx (crafting station in toolbar)
/SelectDraftSchematic xx (my schematic number)
/pause 9 (pause to allow for ingredient clicking)
