From my experiance your off on these numbers by alot. Typical pets I have created in the lvl 23 range and wild ones average between 200-280 max damage.
I have 2 creatures that I made both of which are CL 27 and CL 28 and they have 10K+ ham and hit for 500-510 and the other hits for 560-570.. Both with AR1 and 56+ Kinetic.. So yes it WAS POSSIBLE.. And that is my point now.. It isnt.. I could sit back and say AT LEAST I GOT MY PET! But that would be selfish of me.. That is my point behind this.. Everyone who defends this new way didnt know how to make pets.. They are just contempt with running through the forrest with thier buddies nekkid and sampling DNA while having fun. They make nothing better then a retarded mutant with a CL so high it is stupid..
You obviously missed the point. The devs do not intend for you to have CL27 or 28 pets hitting for 500-600 each.
Yes, the original poster definitely is a fool. I've been making some exceptional clones after the last patch: ferocious little beasties that do great damage and have a great cominbation of resists. They've all been greater than CL30 though and not CL9. It sounds to me that the original poster is PO'd that he could no longer make CL9 critters that have the stats of CL30s.
What a lamer.
Wow! So much anger and so much blindness all together in one place. You only have to look back at the dev's continues and consistent nerfing of pet related classes to understand this. The devs suffer from a developement defect that instills a mindset that glorifies the unshaven, messy haired, I'm uber LOOK AT MY BIG GUN fantasy. (Their vison of ultra warriors doesn't now and never has existed thus it is fantasy.)
They nerfed the CH class a ways back because CH's were supposedly to powerful. That was not accurate but the devs only listen to the uber types complaints that a big pet actually knocked them down or something. Oh their were some commando/novice ch's that had the ability to actually solo things using big pets but a Master CH with the two biggest pets they could muster couldn'tsolo any FS NPC I ever met. Actually I saw on numerous occasions an FS on Dantoonie take out 2 rancors, 2 graul maulers and of course their masters. The master ch's were killed in one hit mind you. I also watched on commando with his BIG GUN take out the same FS in two flame blasts while sustaining half HAM damage in return. So much for CH.
Now on to BE. The class sucked big time. then with some fan faire things were added that made it enjoyable for some people. ( I like to think the ones that like to think!) However some BE's made pets that once again threatened the small minded, LOOK AT MY BIG GUN, set and soooo.... the LOOK AT OUR BIG NERF HAHA! devs went to work to save the fragile egos.
Now don't sit back and think your little BE money making tissues thing isn't going to be nerfed sooner or later. The writing is on the wall. The devs have clearly shown their colors as well as their bigger is better, LOOK AT MY BIG GUN, fantasy.
Be smart. Migrate your skills over to one of the two favored classes so the devs can turn SWG into the simple little war game they envision.
There's a lot more, but big chunks were in just how amazing a force multiplier you could get with 3/2/0/0 in CH (or 2/2/0/0 if you were a wookie or had the right clothes). Hardly any skillpoints spent, and a highly superior pve tank. In PvP, use of the correct pet could also give you an immense edge, since pet damage isn't cut to 1/4th unlike everything else in the game.
It wasn't just devs being neaderthals and reacting to someone being hit by a pet.

While it's not as easy as it used to be ( which is a good thing considering the insane ammount of dumbass who are spaming this board with info wrong infos, childish behaviour, etc hopefully they'll just quit) It is still possible to maes very good pets.
You are claiming that the proffession became useless and we can only make lame copy of wild critters, that's wrong.
Take 5 DNA of the anything, experiment it to the max and you'll see that not only it has a higher CL that the original but it's stats are higher as well.Do not experiment at all, and it's stats and CL will drop.
It's a lot harder than it used to be, but the system make a lot more sense than the old one, that allowed you, MCH, to carry 3 insane pets by simply mixing mutant rancor and gnort dna.
Anyways, I hope you either surrender or get banned from this board as we have enough useless posts in this forum to have to read yer childish bitter crap.
Dablindbling da only TRUE BE you wrote once heh? You'r just a clown, and a not funny one at that.
ooloo
Dont be a fool.. Why where you not EDITED! THIS IS A FLAME!!!! But on to answering your questions.. That is my point about being usless.. Sure I can take 5 DNA and expirment it up.. Do I make it higher then it originally was? NO..
Heartiness/Fortitude.. is 590... You put it in first slot.. Now click next.. You get something like 290 now.. Hmm lost 300.. Ok.. So now MAX out the expirment in it.. Did you get it higher?? Umm no.. Thus you are making a WEAKER copy... And with that you get a higher CL... The higher the CL is not the better the creature.. I have a CL 27 creature made before this last nerf that is way better then what you can make right now as a CL 70..
That is my point behind this.. Instead of people actually understanding what this is about they are just looking at stats and thinking that 10K ham is good.. No it isnt.. 10K ham NORMAL.. It is all about the resists and damage of the creature..
Well heres the next round of nerfing. And a great point in my arguement that the devs have it in for the BE, CH people. Stims crafting has been nerfed as of the last "fix". Thats right. My Master medic/near master BE use to make pet B stims in the 600 range after experimentation. People B stims were mid 200's. Failures were rare events. (I have +14 personal crafters and a +34 stationary one) Today, after what they call a fix, about the best pet B I can do, after some kind of failure 5 out of 6 experiment attempts, is 495. the nest people B stim I can get, again with some kind of failure 5/6 times while experimenting is 110. 110 lol !Thats not even a high none experimented A stim. Same crafters, same ingrediants, same character. CAN YOU SAY NERF? I knew you could lol.
Time to put on my diaper and migrate over to the LOOK AT MY BIG GUN CROWD. Well at least I'll be able to run around near naked with my big blaster out and stand by in game female characters for fun. (That happens, at least once every few nights. Yes I am a female character.. in game and rl.)
Dablingbling,
not that I don't agree with you, but that is not the point.
The point is that all the pets that were made prior to the nerf are completley useless.
And I made hundreds of pets, just before I dropped BE. You know how long it took me to sample and"experiment" with what DNA combinations to use? Hundreds of hours.
And now, I am not allowed to use them?
Okay... I mean ...sure I could almost live with that (almost). Because there are other areas in the game to explore.
But when the CSR guys are calling me a "cheater", and an "exploiter" - I GET VERY VERY UPSET.
IT IS F-ING INSULTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have hundreds of useless pets, and hundreds of hours down the drain - dropped BE...
and now what? Devs?
What'm I gonna do now?
"Didn't you know there was something wrong with the stats, compared to its level", some flamer asked me at the SWG forum. What? Is that common knowledge? Is that written on the pets forhead "I must be level 33 or you will be regarded as a cheater"
NO! I didn't know there was something wrong with the stats. And Im sooooooo sorry not being able to filter out all the junk information on these trolledforums. I am soooo sorry not having mastered scout, so I could compare the levels of the creatures I sampled fromwith the ones I created. And I am REALLY REALLY REALLY sorry I am not an all-knowing god that cansee into the future.
Just increase the level of all the "invalid stats"pets that was created prior to the nerf and stop calling innocent (in this regard) people "exploiters".
...and everyone will be happy
regards,

Saturday I made five (5) sets of PetStim A's that were 615, 638, 639, and 643 base heal (25 charges). I'm guessing there was no nerf, but maybe thats just me.
Off-topic: How much should I charge for these stims? I'm trying to find a price for both singles and crates.

Bleh, two of them were 638s. That isn't exactly clear in my post.
I have another character on a second server. She is a medic/novice doctor. She also is experiencing the stim crafting nerf.
As for how much to charge I sue the formula str*uses/10. For example a 400 str stim with 14 uses would sell for 400*14/10 or 560 credits. If you want to give a discount for a crate of them I'd suggest 10% off. If you look at the time and effort as well as the cost of flora and fiberplast harvesters and power to keep them running as well as the cost of going places like Dantoonie for the berries you need and Lok for the whild wheat or Talus for the water you will find you are spending a ton of money for materials. Factor in a factory or two and you aren't making anything. I hope this helps?
