Thread: Please Voice Your Disapproval of the New Experimentation System with Us
I could care less what they do, im dropping my bio-eng title this weekend to take up a combat skill. Ive had fun while i was here tho, and will have a ton of pets to remember it by. Plus i didnt make one credit the entire time, yet i pull down 50 k an hour with my other combat guy. This profession got pumped up when they fixed it,but sorta crippled when they killed the ch'ers, I see less and less ch'ers every day, and im down to 0 tells a day now for pets, evenwith the master title.
Unfortunately, as the CH'ers die off so will the bio-engs...thats balance for ya...
noone dabbles in the crafting profs as it is, you just cant compete with the market that way, so i dont know where they got the idea that novices were competing with masters, i remember the heady days of september when you could be an architect dabbler for harvesters and houses, but not anymore, not by a long shot. this is not the way to go about adressing issues, just think about all the bugs that are going to be introduced with this system, when we were using a system that was working pretty well. also, since when did resources not matter in crafting? (lets not mention DEs)
i know a few chefs and they are very pleased with their overhaul and are now terrified of being nerfed right when their profession starts to work. thats rough. i feel for the DEs, they wont even know what it will be like without being nerfed.....

A lot of times we don't max out more than one line anyway and intentionally quit with experimentation points left. You don't know how we craft or experiment and I don't think any of the MBE's on TC have said anything about how the changes affect us.
Its fine that you don't like the changes for whatever reason, but please don't expect us to just blindly follow without knowing how we are affected.
i do know how it works, i was once of chily's first MBEs, ive been crafting since day 1.
and you might not max out every line, armorsmiths do that too, what your looking at with these changes is having to spend more points to get the same stats that you would have before and having nothing left to put into any of the HAMs. the armorsmiths have a very good thread too about the changes since they are very much multiline crafters, more so than WS, you should head over there and take a look at their results, this is indeed a very serrious nerf. just wait for them to copy one of the live servers to test the patch on, then the outcry will be deafening. dont know how they havent heard us already

It is my opinion that the devs really do not care what we say before we try the new system.
I think the problem lies that, on global issues, TH is really the only word on the subject. He's such a fount of misinformation that we can't expect very much.
If you look at upcoming changes to carbine, it seems their correspondent did a great job. I think he actually plays the profession, takes his correspondent job seriously, and has some programming knowledge. Devs love to hear stuff in Dev terms and unless TH deliberately posts silly stuff to the forums; I don't see that coming from him.
