We dont even know how it is going to affect us, we have no one that tests on TC (at least that I can find) and more importantly, apparently we do not have a correspondent that Tests on TC ( did he/she quit ? )

A lot of times we don't max out more than one line anyway and intentionally quit with experimentation points left. You don't know how we craft or experiment and I don't think any of the MBE's on TC have said anything about how the changes affect us.

Its fine that you don't like the changes for whatever reason, but please don't expect us to just blindly follow without knowing how we are affected.

i do know how it works, i was once of chily's first MBEs, ive been crafting since day 1.

and you might not max out every line, armorsmiths do that too, what your looking at with these changes is having to spend more points to get the same stats that you would have before and having nothing left to put into any of the HAMs. the armorsmiths have a very good thread too about the changes since they are very much multiline crafters, more so than WS, you should head over there and take a look at their results, this is indeed a very serrious nerf. just wait for them to copy one of the live servers to test the patch on, then the outcry will be deafening. dont know how they havent heard us already

Yep, the rich are going to get richer. The new masters will have to work harder than any of us ever had too, and pay ungodly amounts for good spawns.

Ex. There was a trade on the shadowfire forms that ended today. 400 cpu for wooly with OQ 996 SR 806 Mall 847. Now that is damn good stuff and I doubt we will ever seeanything likeit again.

How much do you think this would see for after the patch? Personally, I don't think anyone in their right mind would sell it, but if they did, easily 500-1000 cpu, easily.

Does anyone want to pay 1000 cpu for resources?

If you are even thinking of going a crafting class any time in the future, better start watching for those good spawns now, or your screwed.

"I still don't get why so many complain about the new crafting changes...

All AS will be affected the same way so it's not gonna change anything..."

That's just it... it's not *going* to affect all AS's the same way. Anyone who hasn't been a Master Armorsmith for at least, I'd say, 3-4 months, or has a HUGE stockpile of credits to pay to buy the old resources, is getting the shaft with this patch.

I think that this may be a real problem for us. If, overall, Experimentationis becoming less effective we will begin to find it harder to get armor on anything under cl40. I believe we will have to increase the generations on a creature to keep the stats we are use to now.
Examples of this are when using 5 samples w armor (fort in low 500s) currently we are seeing initial forts in the 300s, and have to exp health up to get to 500, usually 2-4 exp points. In the new system I think we may be having to use 4-6 points to see the same results. This is going to have a profound effect on the abilities and generations needed to make good pets. We may end up only being able to make pets = to wild with customizaton.

Resources shift in you know....

All I see is that dabbler won't be able to compete so easily with the true crafters devoting a lot of their play time to their craft, and I fail to see how it is a bad thind....

As for resources prices it is not economically true...

Wether I have 10 millions or 300 millions in bank I still won't buy resources at a price that would have me sell at loss...

Whatever cash I have in stock doesn't affect what price I pay for resources.

What affects it is will I make a profit with the armor I make with resources bought at that price, or will I make a loss.....

Because I run a business in game and business logic is applied to it...........

Only reason why I like the new system is becauseI have horeded uber resources and am a master already.

What are you gonna do about resourses that have capped values and even in their most "uber" state never get close to 1000? Even if you got the best resourses on your server how are you going to compete with the massive amounts of pre-nerf armor that is being stockpiled right now? It seems the only option for anyone who wants to craft after this mega-nerf is going to be to either sell to poor people or newbs, or to just sit around for 6 months waiting for the market in pre-nerf gear to slowly fade away.

The new system is extremely good for BEs in that we'll have even more control than before while experimenting. We can get fort just to to 500 or just under 100 depending on what we are making. The small changes is a good thing in this reguard.

The new system is extremely bad for BEs in that we now need 20 points of exp to make the same clones we are making now. It will take 8 points to hit fort of 500 rather than 2 or 3. The HAMs are never going to get leveled out as we will run out of exp points to do so.

The nese system is extremely good as we can not get tissues to go a bit higher over the resource cap. There isn't a bad side to the new system in reguards to tissues.

The impact on BEs is a very mixed bag. We win, we lose. For other crafters, they lose more than they win.

There is very good arguement that the new system may not be bad overall for Bio Engineers, but we're not the only crafting profession. If they screw up the crafting system, it will effect us in the long run.

Two examples:

Weapons will now all have the exact same stats. Maximum damage with ungodly high ham costs and extremely low durability.

Armor will have extremely high resists but again, at an ungodly cost to ham with crap for durability.
*Please see the WS and AS boards, they have someone on TC and have proven the new crafting system is going to hurt, bad*

This leaves the current masters of each profession stockpiling and hoarding their wares (as anyone would do) and limiting sales, then inflating prices to no end to prevent buyouts of their wares. Let's not forget, anyone who is not yet master, whether almost there now or in the future picking up a crafting profession, is SOL. They will never have the stock pile of "pre-patch 7" crafted items and will not be able to compete with the current masters.

In the end, this change will effect you the next time you go to purchase a weapon, armor or for that matter, a good dose of Vasarian Brandy and some Muon Gold. This is going to hurt everyone and what good is it going to do the Bio Engineers if SOE has driven away the players that we sell to & play with?
