The new system indeed effects all crafting period. As BE's we will be effected for on my server their will be a mass chef droppage for all of them are very upset with what is coming. They are now making it where everything that is crafted will be worthless because of the ungodly difficulty to raise a experimintation bar. Many crafters trying to make up with it by finding or buying experimentation and assembly tapes. WE DONT HAVE THIS OPTION. All this does is as a freind of mine said confirms that SOE is backing out trying to force its players to quit SWG and move on to another game that they don't have to have developers for and do so much because they are lazy. So they are letting square develope a good game that really is so self sufficiant they dont need CSR's but hire SOE to be those CSR's and not have to worry bout development. What game is that you say Final Fantasy online that be the one. Yup SOE is giving up on SWG and tickin off all the crafters and ruining the weapons/armor/food/and clothing to make sure that even the combat classes suffer from it. It's stupid and if they keep it this way I will end up quiting this game and boycotting SOE for retardedness.

Doest affect tailoring at all, are you saying tailoring isnt a craft?
Unless someone takes the time to roll a BE on test we wont know how this affects us until it goes live.

What are you gonna do about resourses that have capped values and even in their most "uber" state never get close to 1000? Even if you got the best resourses on your server how are you going to compete with the massive amounts of pre-nerf armor that is being stockpiled right now? It seems the only option for anyone who wants to craft after this mega-nerf is going to be to either sell to poor people or newbs, or to just sit around for 6 months waiting for the market in pre-nerf gear to slowly fade away.

Only reason why I like the new system is becauseI have horeded uber resources and am a master already.
Prenerf gear not gonna last that long.....
Hell If I wanted to stock up on armor (which I am not doing) before the publish I would not be able to stock up more than maybe 1 week of sales and I would have to work damn hard to reach that level of stock,,,,

the new system has been tested and statistics recorded by both the weaponsmith and armorsmith correspondent. the results were much lower for multiline crafting. much much worse finished goods were produced by both

does anyone know when this is scheduled to hit live?
I dont have a problem with them changing the game... but you are really goin to give a huge advantage to pre-nerf MAs here. With all the bugs in this game youd think thered be a little more focus on fixing rather then nerfing (and yes, this is definately a nerf).

Everybody's been talking about what may or may not happen with DNA template experimentation, and few people have mentioned Tissues, but no one has mentioned Pet Stims yet. Those are a multi-line item (power, charges). I usually max out power, due to resource caps, and then dump the rest of the points in to Charges. It sounds like I will now only be able to max out one line or the other, so I'll be able to make pet stims just as strong, but with fewer charges, or vice versa (more charges, weak strength).

Normally I'm a bit of a "wait and see" guy and I don't decry any proposed changes until I've had a chance to see how good or bad they are once their put it and repaired.
This one, however, gives me a bad feeling and is the first which might make me give this game up and move on to the next one (which will probably not involve SOE - so no EQ2).

please take these complaints over to the WS forum on the link on the first page, this is the kind of stuff they need to see, and putting it all in one place helps us alot. hopefully theyll get the message before they allow it to go live

Rumor has it publish 7 may go live this week, and if that's wrong I'd guess the week after.
I'm suprised more people aren't sounding off.. then again, I think everyone is just getting tired of the grind, too many people gave up their main char's original design.. or just quit the game.
and more people may follow, if this goes in and is as bad as predicted.

I really doubt this goes in anytime soon. They really don't sound ready yet.

Pub 6 came out a moth late if I remember correctly. I would be very suprised If 7 was to hit this early on. I can't argue either way about the crafting rework, I've tried testing on TC but the resources / skills I have there are nothing compared to what is available for me on live. I think we need to see what gets changed from the TC version of the pub to when it hits live before being able to judge what exactly is going on.
