The fact that the tissue was changed at all was a huge immensely positive show from the DEVs to Tailors in my book.

Course I do not really blame anyone for anything, because I pay to play period..so my misery is on me.

Oooooo!!! Unarmed Damage!

Don't mind me just heard of the new tissues & thought I'd come see what they are. & Now I'm very happy!

I've seen it mentioned a few times so felt I should just add the comment, Unarmed Damage no longer stacks with VKs (or any other Unarmed Weapon), however fighting without a VK is now alot more viable then it used to be due to this (it's acctuly more damaging then with a VK at the moment), so these should be very popular.

Just out of intrest, anyone know how much bonus is given per tissue on these yet? Would be greatful for the information as it would be usful for my F.A.Q over in the TKA forums.

Cool that tailor tissues were revamped. That needed to be done.

I am VERY dismayed that a developer chose to make the new tailor tissues known to tailors and completely disregarded telling those players that actually make the tissues. I can't remember the last time a developer has posted in this forum.

No wonder Artur resigned.

Any idea what the level of the Mod is likely to be ie +20 unarmed damage +5 terrain negotiation etc.

I'd love to know the answer to this too. My first thoughts were +5 to Unarmed Damage and +10 to Terrain Negotiation.
Only because of armor and weapon encumberance's effect on mobility.

Spazzers, from the sound of it, no dev informed the tailors, either. Gyopi mentioned making them on a bioengineer alt, and then posted a link for us to peruse

Copy and pasted from the tailor forum. Blixtev's comments are in green.

Rewrote these today, all but 2 of the Tissues were altered to new skill mods.
2) Clothing decay or lack thereof (still unclear what's going on with that)

Have heard mixed reports on this haven't had a chance to see whats happening.
3) Inability to tend harvesters/survey without getting killed

Global crafter issue we are looking at, we have a few suggestions on the table for it.
4) Possible hide shortage considering the re-scaling of combat levels

Hope this is not the case, if so we can look at the harvesting of organics rate.

5) BE's unwilling to make tailor tissues with new role of medical crafter (assuming BE tissues do end up being somewhat effective).

Hopefully they would rather use their milk and eggs on tissues rather than on medical supplies.

6) Inability to bioenhance a good variety of clothing - TKA's are now wearing clothing, but if they want their clothing enhanced in a certain way, they are very limited two a small subset of available clothing. THis is most severe for the RFP options, but synth cloth options are also limited.

We can look at this in the future, will more than likely not happen before CU ships.
7) Cybernetic limbs blocking clothing items. ADDED.

Without them blocking clothing they ended up with some strange looking appearances on people wearing them, so they decided to block all clothing and armor.

I think that it was just a matter of us mentioning it more and that gave an opening for Blixtev to say something about it. Not being one of the CU professions it was harder for our concerns to get buried amoung all the other questions.

Copied from an ArthurDent post:

"I'm as clueless about this as the rest of you (nobody ever talks to me /sigh), although I have been pretty vocal about this change being needed. I'll keep an eye out for this on TC and let everyone know the minute I know something."

It was a nice thought Gyopi. Like I said, I VERY dismayed the way information is provided to the BE community. We always seem to be the last to know.

Well if it makes you feel any better, that was the first dev post in the tailor forum for a *very* long time! It probably should have also been mentioned here though. Anyway, I didn't know what the changes would be until I logged on and made the tissues myself.

Understood, and like I said at the beginning, the change is good and needed.

Had someone not trolled the tailor forum, we BE's might never have known at all that the tissues were changed. That's my only point.

A dev hasn't posted here in well over a year.

I'm a bit disappointed that they didn't add DNA sampling in there. Surveying is great b/c no artisan will be able to go out of the house w/o dying now so that will let pure-combats pick up novice artisan and take over the harvester planting field. Except of course they won't know what to harvest. Sorry - feeling very cynical today.

Upbeat: how exciting to get new tissues !!!!
