I have a friend who was doing the same thing, wanted to go master swordsman and rifleman, then dabble in fencer and pistoleer for defense..but now he changed his mind..

He recently got master brawler and just loves it. the lunges own, the warcry is goose, and the ID lasts a long time..good stuff..anyway

He was going master swordsman master brawler, and then 4040 fencer and then some medic

Anyway, getting rid of rifleman is up to you, with a full melee template you should be good in PvE, and with master brawler, and other melee defenses, you can hold your own in pvp, with the 20m lunge..etc..works well

all of that added stacked defense helps too,, tka owns, so you could be on tright track if you do tkm master fencer and brawler and medic

good luck!

I know there are a lot of these, but I just want to know your opinions if you have tried them. I have4 that I have been thinking about.

1) BH Carbines/Carbineer/4-4-4-0 Medic

2) BH Carbines/Carbineer/3-0-4-0 Swordsman

3) BH Carbines/Carbineer/0-0-2-0 Swordsman/0-0-1-0 Medic

4) MBH/Carbineer/Medic

I guess my main question is would MBH be worth geting for the little accuracy, and Fast blast? Also is counterattack working well enough to get +20 from swordsman?

Go to the dev tracker and read the post about testing on test center 2 for publish 10.

They have character building terminals that let you make whatever sort of characetr you want, get buffs, and get free gear and vehicles to test the new fs quests.

This is a good opportunity for anyone to test thier template ideas.

I tested that template i gave you last night and it worked well

make a macro for all your "debuffs" (including intimidate and full auto area 2 for the blind) I do believe you can apply all the states with that template.

have fun, and watch out for the lag and noob droids.

The three boxes in pistol stances aren't doing you any good if you're not mastering Pistoleer. The melee defense you get from that is negligable for any kind of PvP, besides Jedi. In my opinion, the Rogue line is a waste as well, since Fanshot is either the same or similar DPS, and the Trickshot line in Pistoleer gives you not only the Geo Blaster cert, but invaluable state defenses (such as dizzy and KD). I would recommend dropping the smuggler entirely and mastering Pistoleer, then look for a good Geo and DE10.

I didn't one-star you, it was the cocksnot bandit who one-stars everyone who dares make a rational comment about ranged Bounty Hunting.

It's cool that you took the line for speed, but with most pistols and specials you won't need it much. My personal opinion is that the state defenses in the Trickshot line would be more important than the speed from the stances line, if you had to choose. However, you could still choose to master, and take both.

The first question I always ask is what do you want to do with the template? Is it for jedi hunting, factional PvP, PvE, all of the above? I would tweak my template accordingly based on that.

If you are going PvP I think the state defenses and geo cert in the techniques branch outweigh the speed bonus in the stances branch. I have found that my pistol speed and accuracy is more than adequate with theBH bonuses so I usually use my points to boost defenses with the grips and techniques line of pistoleer. I have never used last ditch because of the recovery penalty so I usually only go to smuggler 0030 for the low blow KD. It is weak compared to the Carbine KDs but something is better than nothing I guess. Here are some of the templates I have liked for BH in the past...

Template #1 (Nice balance)

MBH

Pistoleer 4040

Smuggler 0030

* the pistoleer skills can be swapped with the other branches but I like the added defenses vs states and dodge bonus

Template #2 (Maximum Pistol Skills)

MBH

Master Pistoleer

Novice Brawler or Novice Medic

* some people (like me) like keeping intimidate on the opponent, others want the healing ability

Template #3 (GCW Pistols)

BH 3040

Pistoleer 4044

Smuggler 0130

Commando 0100

* This template makes you a valuable base takedown member. It gives you 3 of the 5 takedown professions and also lets you hunt jedi if you want to. You have access to almost every pistol and a variety of specials. I love this template. Slaughtering AT-STs and Nightsisters with Torso shot and a nice launcher pistol is always fun.

Template #4 (Carb/Pistol Balanced)

MBH

Pistoleer 4040

Carbineer 0430

Novice Brawler

* As you can tell I place a lot of emphasis on intimidate 1 thus the Novice brawler. Feel free to swap it with novice medic or take the points and dump them into more boxes of pistoleer or carbineer. When I had this template I was pretty well balanced for PvP and PvE with the right weapons and some intelligent tactics.

Well, again, it depends on what you're doing with the template. For any kind of PvP (factional or Jedi bounty), you can never have too much accuracy.

I'm working right now actually on changing my template from

MBH
Carbineer 0402
Pistoleer 0040
Medic
Brawler

to

MBH
Carbineer 0402
Pistoleer 0440
Medic

I also like the intimidation, but sometimes it's hard to get it to stick, and intimidate 1 doesn't seem to last very long. Still, it is a good skill to have, but I want to experiment with my pistol accuracy for in-close fighting against Jedi. I might even drop the 0002 in Carbineer and throw that into pistol grips for some more dodge.
