And oh how I salute you for it Sumo! I can't tell you all enough how muchwe appreciate it.

The tool willlet us non-number crunchers help out a little(I hope)test your numbers which can lead into a great tool and an updated FAQ for future BEs.

Btw I read your 2.0 post Sumo. Kick arse work!

Keep it up!

ok, added the other equasions for remaining stat pairs. I still do not have a good algorithm for the specials/ranged.

specials from what ive seen:

1. It all depends on the physical and aggression slots. Proof - 2 craggy bolma dna samples in phy and agg, 3 gaping spinders in pro/men/psy. Creature had no attacks (cl 45 too)

2. If aggression does not have any attacks, it defaults to physical. Problem is, it does not make sense sometimes.

ranged from what i've seen:

1. It all depends on the mental slot.

2. It cant be that simple.

first, Do either lesser plains bol or voritor dasher have any attacks? If so, who has what?

second, Meat Flora qualities have no bearing on clone results. They have been removed completely from the equasion. You can see this yourself by taking 2 identical templates (it's doable) and using different quality resources.

third, We are not going to get a dev response about how the system works. None of the other classes have any equasions, why should we? What we are doing here is playing catch up with all the other classes who have had 4 months to figure out their equasions. This is something we are gonna have to sift through now, since we have this brand new system.

last, Im gonna go get a bunch of dna from non ranged animals and ranged animals and play a little binary

00000 = ?

10000 = ?

01000 = ?

11000 = ?

00100 = ?

etc.....

itll only take 32X5 = 160 dna samples.

I'm leaning heavily toward Ranged being controlled by Mental... to explain the oddities I think it is tied up one of the DNA numbers and you have an ordered priority. So Mental is first on the list unless some algorithm based on a stat (or more) yields a MUCH higher number in some other slot.

I've seen this with Specials also.

There is a ranking of priority in the DNA, I just haven't narrowed down which one it is... and haven't spent much time on that aspect of the clone process either.

Oh and bump for an excellent calculator

Doggie tips his fez to you grelgen!! Excellent work. You and all the contributors (don't wanna slight anyone) deserve some acclaim for this.

Keep up the good work.

ok, since the whole CL rating system doesnt work, according to Tal-N, this page wont be able to compute that part of the process. Im not slighting Tal-N in his pursuits, Im only agreeing with him.

I'd just wait on some more solid testing to be done to find formulae Grel. I'm not convinced the whole CL system is broken atm. I produce stuff very very simliar to wild animals - 1 to 5 CLs. So its probably working in some cases. It is the holy grail though... just gonna prolly be the last piece of the puzzle to unlock for us.

Well ok....I used 5 samples with these values for Hardiness and Fortitude (making it simple by only using those...)

H: 674 592 588 588 550
F: 314 314 209 268 312

Result with the sheet:
H: 614
F: 306

Real result in game:
H: 471
F: 141

I'm Master BE so all of the samples were Above Average.

With experimentation those went up to 535/307

Got similar results with the other sections where maxed experimentation got me near to what was calced by the sheet.

The resists, picking Heat and electricity because they surprised me....

Heat:
30 V 60 25 100: Sheet: 41, Game: 2 ?!??

Electricity:
V 30 V 25 100: Sheet: 33, Game V !???

As to the CL....well.... not sure about that one ....

I did some testing with Creature levels:

Slot/Level
1/11
2/18
3/18
4/18
5/18

Result: L8 ?! (retested this and was L8 again) Feeble Kima L11 and Kima L18 dna if someone wants to verify.

Slot/Level (same creatures dna)
1/18
2/11
3/18
4/18
5/18

Result: L12

These were done without any experimentation on Durni's... ran out of dna for more testing on this...

ok, the system right now does not take into effect vulnerabilities, because that has not been determined as to how much it affects the weighted average (-100 was suggested, it could be -50, I dont know).

Your result numbers indicate that you are looking at pre-experiment numbers. Once you get at least 1 successful experiment on physical, It (resists) should jump near to the pages prediction. Your post experiment numbers fall within estimable degrees of error (read random number generator) of the prediction.

Oh, on the same dna template:

Stun resistance:

80 100 V 25 30 : Sheet: 47, Result 54 ????

Sorry but this game isnt making a lot of sense lol

Maybe the resistance in the mental slot doesnt go into account?...

Lets see what that gives for Kinetic:

60 65 45 45 35: Sheet: 53.5, No mental slot: 51,25. Result: 53

And for Cold:

30 30 60 25 100: Sheet: 48.75, No mental slot: 46,25. Result 27 ?? not really a match...
No mental slot and divided by 5: 37...nah.... thats not it...

Head is spinning....

And yes, this clone was experimented on successfully on Physique. In fact all 5 categories had only 1 of the little purple rectangles left. (those below the big rectangles you click on to attribute experimentation points) so the dna sample was pretty maxed out on everything...

Rag, the V's in teh resists are the problem. SOmetimes using -22 gives me exact results. Sometimes -50, others -75, or -100, one case was even so extreme as to require -225 for it to come out correctly. That is the main bit on the resists that need to be worked out more, as i can't find a solid definite answer for it because V's many many many times result in a V in the final product (this makes it hard to know what V in the equations had to be other than a minimum level to drive the final resist below 0). As I work more (get more data) I'll be able to find better numbers on the resists.

Also the formulae I use (pretty sure they're the ones Grelgen put in to predict the Template stats) are, like grelgen said, expected maxed out stats. Most times i can't max out all the stats on a template... actually thinking about it, it is **edit** rare for me to get a maxed out template on anything but very low level stuff. But when I max out a category I usually get within one point of the predicted maximum result (have over 50 clones that none using 1st generation DNA were more than 1pt off).

Yep the template values seem to be fitting rather nicely. Now we need to figure the resists out...We may have to factor in the quality of the DNA as well as the position the dna is used in....i guess they're weighed in differently for different slots...

Will do more testing tonight

Oh and then the CL....thats gonna be a headache...
