Thread: Predicting Pet Level in the new system New Preliminary Weightings
OK,
I think this is my final stab at it. I made the wild DNA stats that lamm posted fit onto the curve which means that cleverness is a HUGE factor. I don't know if it is valid. Will need testing but my final weightings are:
hardiness: 10
fortitude: 1
dexterity: 1
intellect:1
cleverness: 25
dep: 1
courage: 1
fierce: 2
power: 25
The curve this produces is here. The yellow dots are data from BE pets, while the blue dots are samples from wild animals. There are two wild dots that do not fit on the curve and they are from elites.

Quick question, I followed everything until now as I was making my own spreadsheets to look into the matter. However, I got a little confused with your final weigh values. Are those percentages? Or are they weighed arbitrarily to some other value?
Heheheh for example
hardiness: 10
I have no point of reference to what i should base this value on
any help would be appreciated hehehe
THanks
Here's a few interesting ones to compare:
CL48: 721 104 565 453 83 202 151 138 274 500
CL51: 757 106 565 457 83 201 154 141 275 517
Its no problemo ![]()
I've updated the files, they have about 20-25 more entries on it... Gonna go back and try to fill in the mid levels sometimes before the weekend too
Also try to work on the min's maxs within the range of 1000. It seems that the 'special'mobs with 1000 stats are actually well over 1000 when it comes to the resulting attributes. Which is why they're throwing my values off when using the DNA. Either that or the 'special' mobs have some hidden attribute in their DNA which makes it harder to clone creatures from them. You can see from some of my 'predicted levels' plevels of the monsters i've made, that using 1000 or more in a stat throws the calculations waaaaaaay off (+/- 10 in most instances)
Final.
I have been using, with some success the foloowing formulas to predict pet level at worst case within +/- 6 levels - usually much closer.
Ok ill ask, for those of us who arent good with higher math or not good with excel, is there a shortened formula that will work or at least what do some of the symbols mean. ok I know what the basic math is but on the second line does the x mean multiply? what is the E for and what does ^ mean. Sorry for sounding a but dumb but give me some pointers and ill figure it out
thanks
