I like the idea of when a CH creates a mount, it lowers the CL of that specific creature but the really cool mounts (like rancor and such) will remain the domain of the MCH.

Eopies look like they could be riden. For slightly bigger (being on corellia) I would think a Bagerset is rideable. But pointless speculation for now...

I have a feeling that there will be new, lower level, mountable creatures added that can be made into mounts for non-handlers.

I have already seen an example of this in the new hunting missions for Dwarf Banthas.. has anyone seen a Dwarf Bantha yet?

I can only assume that we will soon find some dwarf version of Dewbacks and Rontos (and counterparts on other planets) mixed into the normal variety herds.

Then again, I could be totally off base.

Pretty sure I saw dwarf banthas in the first few weeks of release. I know I have seen them for sure, and I haven't hunted on tatooine for a month or more, so I don't think they are new. Given the size of dwarf versions I have seen recently (gronda, for example) I think these are far too small to be mounts.

I think by far the most likely scenario is that mounts will not be able to attack and that that will remove them from the non-CH CL15 limit. Most likely they will become a seperate type of entity, more akin to a vehicle than a pet. e.g. a normal wild mountain dewback is CL20. The CH training it has the option to turn it into a normal pet as currently happens, or a mount. Once the dewback is tagged as a mount it drops to CL1 (or 0, or 5, it doesn't really matter) and is trainable in mount-type commands only (maybe tricks for mind wounds, possibly follow although that might not be necessary, and not much else) and goes against a different pet-type limit. So a character can have 2 normal bio-pets (non-CH), 2 (for example) mounts and however many droids and faction pets are currently allowed. I am expecting (hoping) CH will get a boost to number of mounts we can store (maybe the same number of mounts as we have +stored pets).

I remain hopeful that CH may get an extra with them, maybe being able to fight from one or something, while non-CH have to dismount to attack - some sort of advantage to show that we have greater control over creatures than others - but if we don't I'm not going to have a fit about it.

Any idea what advantages there will be to using Creature mounts. Will you be able to travel faster, or attack from the mount.

If they implemented it now you could make multiple warps untill you become dizzy and them unexpectantly be stored in your datapad.

Have you seen the video?
That dewback was doing 50 in a 35 zone.

#1, no riding peko peko's. That would be kinda 'egghh' with the physics engine of the game. If you noticed, you can walk up a cliff, and there is no 'jumping.' As for Bounty Hunters, they should add a JetPack for them, just like Boba Fett had. Then again, because of their physics engine, it can't be done.

I picked up a DewBack for $1500. As long as I can get to, and back from my missions faster riding a dewback, I'll be happy. One thing though, is that I heard a Dewback is a lvl18 animal, and non Creature Handler's can only use upto lvl15. So, if that's the case, do we all have to be Creature Handler's to ride a Dewback?

But, yeah. Once Mountable Creatures are introduced, people will get more money, more XP, and more faction points, More Qquickly.

Still, a big problem I have is a lot of the time, my missions aren't there. I go the the waypoint, but there's nothing there.

my theorys.. All mount speeds will be the same so everybody doesn't flock to one type of mount like a dewback.

Dewbacks as they stand now can't be used by nonch's.. maybe dewbacks will be CH only mounts or they'll lower the diff level or introduce a lower level dewback we can tame.

How much in demand do you guys think the non-ch pets with mounts will be? Like the banthas, we can make great ones that a non-CH can use. You guys think this is gonna make a big impact on us?

Soon Creature Handelers (CH) will be able to use DewBacks, Rontos, and Banthas as mounts. I was wondering if any of these creatures are low enough level for a non-CH to ride?

I doubt it will matter for those mounts since they wont actually be able to fight... I'm sure there will be *some* mounts that only certain levels of CH can use though.. just to give them some perks of the job..
