Thread: MOUNTS

I surmise that once a creature becomes a mount, it's treated as a vehicle and not as a creature. The creature level would be moot.

I think at first it'll be interesting to see... but, and this is unfortunate, most people I come across who aren't CH's are unaware that they can even have pets.At first the mounts will take some getting used to by most but after a while of seeing others with them I think they'll come around. HOWEVER as soon as speeders and swoop bikes become available mounts will become a novelty item, a poor mans transport. I intend to make a mount, and buy a speeder... but I'll be using the fastest of the 2... which one that will be i can't say for certain.

As far as an impact on us? For the 1st few weeks we'll probably sell a bunch... but we'll still be pestered for petstims and vpacks waaaaaaaaaay more... god i hate those things... petstims, our bane and our salvation >.<

Do you suppose if you get a mount that as you are running around that it will 'autostop' at all the server lines like the pets do?

Bio Engineers are getting the ability to lower the cl of crafted pets a few points so Rontos and Dewbacks should be usable by anyone when the patch comes.

I think the CH class is doing okay on its own in combat and they will make a killing selling mounts when they are available.

If ANY of the mounts are CH only I'll be pissed. A broken (read:trained)mount is a mount. I wouldn't be suprised if they made you take some kind of cavlry skill or something though.

They better fix the server boundary/pet stop issue BEFORE they implement mounts. I don't want to be riding away from an aggro mob and have my pet stop. DOH!

I am wondering which will go live first. The mounts, or the BE cloning fix. We may have more an better mounts than Banthas by the time mounts go live.

I've got the same question/concern Graeme.

I'm hoping the devs make a bio-engineered mount more desirable (faster speed mainly). But I don't want to rant... tired of screaming hehe.

Graeme adn Sumorex ....your thoughts are the same as mine... While I would like to think that the clone fixes will be implemented before mounts... I have my doubts...

and it would be ideal to have our pets/mounts have some sort of advantage over CH's... if for no other reason to make up for teh lop-sided conditions that have and still do exist between CH/BE...

but my gut tells me that mounts are higher on their "to-do" list than our clone fixes....

I hate this game...

In the recent chat Stratics had with the devs they said they you wouldnt have to be a ch to control a mount. If i remember correctly the devs actual responce to the question was "No!" So dont worry

I know this thread has been posted before but the search engine on this sucks. Anyways, I have both a dewback and a ronto...can both of these become mountable?
