I'd like to encourage you all to read the OTHER forums... not because watching a train wreck is infotaining, but because there are a lot of folks saying a lot of things right now.

we've always had direct ties with tailors, chefs, and CH's. many of us were also rangers, or artisans, or merchants. certainly, all of us were scouts and medics.

take a stroll around and see if you can't see something worth reading.

and as far as this forum goes?

I declare shenanigans. broomsticks will be issued to all who enter. humor, criticism, adulation of peers, and everything else is fair game here. I won't be paying any attention to petitions, etc... but you all can if you want (I certainly won't stop you).

share old stories, make a joke, whatever. like I said: you all get broomsticks. use them wisely. I myself have an axe-handle, so I still trump you all. don't make me resort to using the ditch-witch.

Dont go to the Jedi forums though, They're more of an uproar than usual... I think had this new CU not hit the day after ToOW was released to those who did not preorder, things wouldn't be as bad as they are now. Its a shame to see professions being thrown out and new cookie-cutter templates coming in. Best of luck to you with wherever life takes you. /bow4

I had fun! Thats the most important thing ever. I enjoyed playing BE. I was a BE since the first day I figured we could make pets. I moved BE accross my various characters, finally coming to rest on my Twi'lek char. I have since developed this char into what I believe to be the first, and as it now seems probable - the only CL80 BioEngineer.

But I had FUN doing it. And that can never be taken away.

I'll proudly fly my MBE tag , dreading all those n00b tells about making them pets though....

Lammergeier I just want to /salute you for your time as BE coro.

Although my time as a BE was short lived I always found of wealth of help and info. in these forums.

Job well done sir!

My main char is a MCH and I always intended to have my alt char become a BE. I unlocked around the time of the CU and immediately created my black furred, golden eyed, short shrimpy Rodian that thinks he's a Jawa!

I did not quite make it to Master BE but I enjoyed making pets for my main char.

When I login game tonight I will be surrendering all BE skills sadly and grinding my alt char up to a cl80 in order to take advantage (if there is an advantage) of the new respec.

Another very disappointed BE sadly signing off.

Take care everyone! What sad sad occurence!

Lamm, you did an excellent job as a correspondent. These forums have been excellent. Civil, informative, and to the point.

If I continue to play this game, I will wear my MASTER BIO-ENGINEER with pride.

I rember when i first started Bio Engineer right around the time of pub 9, i was pretty excited and had no clue what i was doing and it was one of the best times i have ever had ig. I rember fondly going out into the Rancor Plains on Dath to try and get enraged rancor dna. Having to run away to the protection of the Jedi i was hunting with and watching said Jediabsolutly stunned as i managed to drop monsters with one sample. i loved it through trial and error i managed to make my baby: a lvl 64 narggie with aurmor, stun, intim, wonderful 15k ham(with buffs.. ) and the annoying habit of runnin off to eat anything smaller than he was. I kept that narglatch by my said untill i absolutely had to surrender all of my ch skills to finish my jedi grind.. (which thankfully was before the cu so my poor baby never got nerfed and still sits safe and sound in my data pad.)

i missed be so much that i picked it up on my alt and it saddens me to see so many of the things i loved about this game gone..

id like to thank everyone on this forum i only read and never posted untill now, but i always valued this forum.

I wish everyone the best

It would appear the the force is not with us. Although you all never knew it, you made me a much better BE.Since the CU the BE life has been much less interesting, IMHO. But it has always been with greatpride that I wore my Master Bio Engineer tag. I think we were a breed apart from the rest of the professions. For us, the work was very mental and it took someone special to be able to do it. Many I know tried and were either bored and frustrated or loved it completely. There was no middle ground. I hope some day to be able to find an experience similar to it, but I know I will never again know the joy of that first critter that came out just the wayI washoping for or the tension of sneaking up on some vicious creature to take a sample, knowing that at any momment you might be looking at the inside of a cloner. For my money, it was the most challenging and most rewarding profession in the game. But soon it will be gone.

Farewell on all your travels my fellow BE's /deepbow

/salute to all the BEs who helped me, most have no idea they did since i lurked. and /pietoss all around.

/bow2 from this chef as well. just don't poke me with those killer needles of yours!

My 2 best friends ingame were BE's. they saved my butt many times. Either with a nice dog to keep me company, a Cu-Pa to hop around on, or a baziliion food components. I am really going to miss them. The delight in my eyes when Erinys made me a new dog was real, as was her effort in making it. I wont forget her. Laier kept me in food components and up to my ears in resources. Woof!

I am really sad today to read that CH and BE are going, but I hope that perhaps they can find some fun in the "new" game. If not then they better save me a seat in the next place they go, because I wont be far behind.

/bow and /salute to all the BE's /pietoss SOE

I hate to see "us" go like this. I ama MCH of over 2 years and we are in the same boat. I remember as a noob seeing a be sample dna on Dant. THe creature died and I asked "how did you kill him, I didnt see you use a weapon" LOL. I also remeber pre cu helping a couple BE's get Rancor DNA. We aggroed a Bull Rancor and all but 1 of our group got hit by the massive disease it used to be able to dish out. We all died as we had know docs with us. LOL. Here is to the memories!!

I still had my token respec until last night, decided to make an early exit on MBE and try a couple other dying proffessions that i havent done yet just so i had the experience of playing them, even if not for very long. I am, though, not totally unhappy with the new CU2. I had done most of what i wanted to accomplish in this game already and my friends have been leaving the game in small chucks here and there for the last 7 months or so. Basically ever since the first CU was announced.

I had gotten to the point of trying to make a decision on when to let my accounts runout and which account was gonna go first. So as much of a shock this is to the game, I am sorta looking forward to it.

The NGE will give me reason tokeep playing or it will the stench that finally drives me from the SWG pasture.

1 question, will I still be able to wear the MBE title if i have the badge still or can i only switch to titles i currently have.

By the way, unless i was looking for business, I wore the "Hunter" title and carried a small carbine. I was only lev 17 so i just looked like a scout newbie player.

Heyseus Kristos (yes my jedi was jesus, watch me turn water to brandy) Account ends Jan 1st

Fleaflicker (wookie who played the bass and had fun with blasters) account ends jan 1st

Wanmo Cervesa (name means One mo' Beer and was a MBE) also leaving in jan.
Sidori Cervesa (Barmaid, BH/Ranger) leaving in jan too.
