1. The weapon switch delay has killed EVERYONE with professions that have multiple weapon class requirements. It makes multiple weapon requirements unusable. BHs, Smugglers, Commandos, Marksman...everyone that has multiple weapon req professions should NOT see this delay. Tell the devs to fix the exploit that led to this nerf, we're kind of tired of them taking the easy way out on OUR backs.


2. WAY back in early beta player were suppose to be able to generate player missions. A player was suppose to be able to, for example, supply the parts for an item as part of a mission. If the player taking it did not return the final product within a specified time then the mission generating player could put a bounty on his head for the BHs. What ever happened to player missions and player bounties?


I can't comment about more than this since I'm just now working on BH.

hehe lol i like the idea of putting multiple creaters together to get a new one but i think thats to much the would have to create very very much new models
a raszor ct with wings a razor cat with wings and horns a razor cat with horn ...........


but would be good would be something like "impossible creatures"

I see a few things that would enhance the Role Playing experience of being a hired Bounty Hunter.

Gadgets:

Gadgets would be Great! Bounty Hunters frequently used these things in all of the Star Wars universe, Bomb Droids are heading in the right direction, but I think alot more can be done, (vehicle bombs for your marks, some form of player trap, etc)

Varied Mission types:

Granted, killing things is fun, but can get boring and annoying, especially to the Jedi who have to work so hard at getting xp that they will lose if they die. Perhaps a "Capture" system of sort? Where a BH can capture a player and would have to bring them back to a certain location(under a certain amount of time)? I know there are certain complications with this, but just an idea. Also, Bounty Hunters didn't JUST take contracts on Jedi, I'd really like to see a system implemented where Factions put bounties up on anyone that has an extremely high amount of negative faction xp torwards that faction. Makes you think ALOT more about who you become enemies with. I'd also like to see any form of Player generated bounties, Someone would have to be doing SOMETHING to get on there, and the income issues would be fixed a bit. Also, players that are HEAVILY involved in illegal activities should be put on the boards as well. Perhaps a "Crime-point" limit? Or perhaps they've sliced too much, or have been caught too many times by an imperial trooper, or even a mission that they can take which will yield HIGHLY desirable results from doing illegal activities, but will also place them on the bounty hunter terminals as Criminals. I'd like to see other players on the contract list besides jedi.

Mission payouts:

Mission payouts right now are honestly... A joke, I don't intend to be rude, it's simply how I see them. What sane Bounty Hunter would take a contract for any kind of jedi for 15k? Especially since travelling costs don't always justify the Hunt.

Combat:

The issue here is as Tanks explained to the community earlier: Bounty Hunting is a High Damage/Low defense proffession, but has been turned into a low damage/low defense profession. If you wish to take out anything higher than a jedi padawan, you will have to use a bomb droid. No-one seems to think that becoming a master Bounty hunter is even worth it anymore, they all just get investigation 3 so they can hunt jedi and then get the desired MELEE profession of their choice. Ranged combat seems to no longer be effective against other players... Also, the Bouty Hunter trees need fixing or they need to be supported. We have 3 different combat trees, but we can't take advantage of that, we cant switch weapons efficiently, perhaps a Weapon Switch for Master Bounty hunter would be appropriate? Basicly Master bouty hunters need incentives, they need a reason to become MBH again. Something that is better than becoming a melee defense stacker hybrid of a bounty hunter. Also, We can't seem to get through the saber block of the Jedi, Which I find a bit ridiculous, considering that Jango Fett shot and killed a Master Jedi who was on the Jedi council in Episode 2. Give us some way of getting through that saber block, the bomb droids seem to be working for now, but I don't believe that bomb droids should be REQUIRED to take out Jedi.

Role Playing, Role Playing, Role Playing:

I have attempted to role play as a Bounty Hunter before, but if you do not master the profession, you simply have to continue your everlasting grind to MBH. I don't think I should need to grind so I can enjoy myself later. I believe that grinding should be combined with quests, to take advantage of role playing, create a story line that helps us to feel emerged into the Star Wars universe, give us a Bounty Hunter theme park, where we can go to high crime lords and respectable politicians alike and get contracts from them, which can later expand into something more exciting than the routine of a boring NPC contract. I think armors for Bounty Hunters should also be more accessable, And I think the current system for armors itself needs a little adjusting.

while i dont post here very often Bounty Hunting is something i have toyed with off and on for a long time. I started out as a Bounty Hunter and was soon dis-illusioned with the abysmal treatment BH got from SOE. if ANY profession is important and iconical BH rank right up there with smuggler and jedi.



problems i see in order of importance:



  1. Weapon Switch delay has crippled BH as its one superior ability to other professions

  2. along with #1 total lack of defenses. this used to not be so much an issue but the advent of defense stacking buffmonsters and overfedd and drunk on brandy players has taken away the one thing that made a pure BH viable.

  3. complete lack of player bounty system (jedi bounties dont count)

  4. the master box of BH is trivial and offers no reason to advance. in fact a BH is better off just taking 3000 and investing points in other combat skills. the 3 weapon trees are near worthless and make little sense. the LLC is a commando weapon and this tree should rightfully be a rifle based tree.

  5. LLC is worthless in pursuing PVP content and should be given to the commandos.

  6. complete lack of ability to participate in PVE content and survive for more than a few encounters. the state attacks of the BH should be enough to keep a creature or NPC at bay at master levels.

  7. payouts for NPC boutny missions are dull and repetitive and lack any thought to complete. once completed the time spent is hardly worth the effort compaired to what can be done by mindless janta mission grinding. on average i can grind out nearly 400k creds by doing janta missions in an hour. as a former master BH i could rake in a solid 30K an hour after expenses...

  8. reliance on droids to execute BH tracking skills is abysmal. tracking should be interactive by using computer terminals and thru the data pad and imperial holo-net and through informers. should have nothing to do with droid engineers.

  9. missing ability for a dead or alive option. right now BH are just assassins.

just a few things from a former Master Bounty Hunter.

FYI - a Master Dancer has better defense mods than an MBH...



...and...



I kill people for a living for crying out loud.



You'd think I'd be able to defend myself as an MBH at least slightly better than an entertainer.

lol i am so lazy i have never done TKA cuz i get to unarmed 3 get about half way through and give up.






So equip some VK's and go berserk. Only reason Unarmed takes so long is because there are no weapons for it....no need to make xp go faster.

I'm going to take it you mean the one issue we'd like to see to improve BH, as opposed to what bugs need fixing (eg Jedi TEF loss, payouts still at 15k, etc).

Personally, as an old school Master BH, I'd like to finally see something worthwhile in the MBH box. At the moment the only special worth getting MBH for is Sprayshot. Fastblast, dare I say, is the single most useless master special in the entire game. And LC2 has it's moments in PvE, but that's about the extent of it's use.

What I'd love to see is make the MBH box the Jedi killer skill box. There are several posts about what to do to make the Master box more useful, but here are some suggested from the top of my head:
- Sprayshot and Fastblast should lower Jedi saber blocking dramatically. Considering the names of these specials it makes sense they'd be difficult to block.
- Fix FastBlast. Increase the damage multiplier and add an intimidate state.
- Remove the weapon switch timer so we can actually use our different weapons like we're supposed to do.
- Add more accuracy and speed for the LLC.

So basically, make MBH a skill box that people want to have, instead of something I refuse to drop because it was so frigg'n difficult to achieve back in the day.

I may not be a BH but I want them to have player bounties other than just Jedi and PVE... specifically GCW bounties against each sides members (no need for neutral and that makes PvP still a choice)... now that would would put some fire into the wars feeling as well as make me look more at bounty hunters as what they are...

Player Bounty missions are more than I could hope for .. and would need to be carefully done to avoid griefing (prolly would have to impliment player missions at the same time) .. I've written threads on this before, it CAN be done.


Better offense against Jedi, if nothing else, a Snare to slow their running.


As it stands now, there is ZERO armor that is LS resistant, once you get to MBH you should be able to requisition Armor panels that are LS resistant, and let a skilled armorsmith be able to put this into new armor that can only be worn by that MBH and only while he still retains his MBH title.


Force resistant / blocking pets used only by Elite professions.


Better KD against Jedi, (although i consider the dizzy/KD stacking a bug)


Weapons specific to shooting at jedi


(Basicly I think Jedi should be MUCH easier to kill, it would limit their numbers naturally)

1) Our profession is all about using different weapon types to get the job done.... but the weapon switch delay negates the fact that we use different weapon types.


2) This is Star Wars, where hokie religions and ancient weaponry are no match for a blaster at your side..... yet in SWG if you are not a melee fighter you at a disadvantage. Take a look at any busy starport and you will see that 90% of the players are brandishing melee weapons. Tone down melee or increase ranged. Bounty hunters should not have to take on a melee profession to be deadly.


3) Killing your self with specials sucks. Bring on the HAM revamp that was promised December 2003.


4) Where is the casual game. I sometimes want to play 30 minutes, but the fact that to do anything I have to get a buff kind of ruins the 30 minute range for casual play.


5) Over the past year the look and feel of this game has changed for the worse. The Game I bought was to take place between EpIV and EpV. The GCW in SWG looks nothing like this time period in Star Wars. The numerous Jedi everywhere looks nothing like this time period in Star Wars


6) My Novice Bounty Hunter missions fail way too often. Targets vanish in the heat of battle, or are not at the waypoint.
