Maknar it may not be that simple any more. I use to always be able to get non-ch pets with those types of stats without a problem. I was on tonight and ended up with every one of my pets above non-ch level using old recipes that would produce legit creatures. *shrugs*

Guys, this was my whole point. we USED to be able to make a few decent pets like that. not anymore. Best non-ch pet I made today after a couple hours of trying was 1.1k ham and did 40damage I think. No resists at all. Complete waste of time. I could have just had my CH alt tame a carrion spat in 5min and had a much better creature.

Seems to me that since we're supposed to be able to make something better than what found in the wild there should be some fairly streight forward comparison. Below Average DNA +2 experiment points should be equivalent to whats found at a given CL. Average DNA + 4 experiment points should get you about 1 CL saving. Above Average DNA + 6 experiment points gets you about 2 CL savings. High DNA + 8 experiment points gets you about 3 CL savings. Very High + 10 experiment points gets you about 5 CL savings. By this I mean that a MBE whos trying should be able to make a CL10 creature thats the equivalent of a wild CL 10 or a CL70 thats the equivalent of a wild CL75.Our cloning would then seem to be both balanced and useful. For non-ch this means something like the the old favorite the mountain krevol. It is now a CL 15 with 2200 HAM, 15% kinetic, no armor, a crippling strike special, 0.3 toHit and 150-160 damage. Not a great tank but definetly better than any of the wild CL 10 alternatives. What about novice CH's? Well 1 they can get one of these for free or they can come to us and get a CL15 pet equivalent to a CH 20 pet. I'm guessing for leveling they will generally tame there own and use them roughly, but also buy one from use every few levels for real hunts/missions etc. I also like this plan because it should eliminate the problem of topping out over the CL70 CH limit.

The best non-ch pet I was able to make today is a level 10 Gualama:

it had about 1400 health and lower in the other bars. It also had about 15 kin and 11 energy resists. Took me countless hours and tons of level 11 critter failures. I also made a kaadu with over 2300 health ham lower in other areas but it had less resists.

One thing to not about resists is that there are only 3 creatures in the game with 15 kinectic resists or greater that are level 10 are below. So I wouldn't expect that we can get resists much more then that on a level 10 pet.

L8-10
1500 HAM (approx)
150-160 Dmg
Medium Poison
Crippling Strike
Ranged Attacks

Made with 3 Scyk dna in first three slots, and 2 Rock Beetle dna in last two slots. Usually start with around L12-14, then resampled him untill I got a Lvl 10 or under. Usually to get under 10 I had to fail in the experimentation at least once. One of the dna stats would drop to 1 and the pet would come out under 10.

Voritor dasher + huurton + huurton + huurton + voritor dasher.

divide experimentation points between psych and physique create a creature. Make two of these if necessary. Now sample those. fill all 5 slots with that dna and do no experimentation on the result.

result: 4k HAM CL 9 critter with dizzy strike special and does > 100 damage.

This is just silly and demonstrates just how broken the system is. I can make a 4k HAM CL 9 creature using CL 25-30 dna but I can't make a CL 10 1k HAM creature using CL 10 dna.

Also, when I call the 4k HAM CL 9 creature I got a message saying "you lack the skill to call this creature" but then I'm able to call it anyway. sheesh.

I'm just simply telling customers now that I can't make non-CH pets because I have no clue what's going on anymore. The system is so broken it's not even funny and I don't want to spend hours and hours making pets only to find out they are bugged.

Well I belive that i found a good way to make animals. I have been makeing 2k ham duebacks with my choice of specials. You are allowed to call them and all that. Im happy with the newest patch b/c know you need to understand the system to make pets instead of just doing a trick. I have a few ideas on how it works, and they seem to be working very well. I dont want to give them away, but my advice is to just do tests... just like real scientists would do. See what works and does not and write it down.

Might I suggest guys, that until they actually have a working, stable system in place anything you "discover" will be suspect and possibly subject to change.

It's all well and good to be a "scientist", but when the basic rules of your universe keep changing the rules of science don't apply...
