Since when did they start letting Non-CH's use aggressive creatures again?! Grrrr, what a load of crap that they can use any creature in the first place...

they always could, as long as it's under 15 (to my knowledge)

My understanding is that non CHs can't use aggressive creatures. I could be wrong, of course.

Non-CHs should NOT be able to call aggro pets, while novice CHs can. Under CL 15.

I am not a CH, but want to have a pet. How do I determine if a pet I bought from a vendor can be used by someone with no ranks in CH?

Iv tryed using corillian butterfly drone dna then using something mean, like what do i hav to do to get a non-ch creature??? i can make the most ownage kima's and vir vur's.... but their about cl 30-40

could someone please help me and let me know what i do to keep it non ch??? best iv done so far is cl 12..

Ok, I tried real hard today to make "legit" non-CH pets. I went to Corellia and sampled animals that were CL 9-12. I sampled carrion spats. I used 5 spat samples, and came up with... CL 11. **edit**! I tried again, not using up the few experimentation points that these sorry animals allow us. Came up with an incredibly wimpy CL 8 animal, 600 HAM 40 damage. Tried using 1 wrix sample (CL 12) in phy and krabhu (CL 10) into everything else. Tried and tried and tried, trying desperately to make sure to very very carefully assign my experimentation points to each combine. I came up with a bunch of CL 11, CL 12 creatures, and a few CL 9 ones that were much much worse than any of those animals are in the wild much less what we could make in the "old" system. Ok, that's it, next time someone asks me for a non-CH pet I go tame a lesser plains bol. The've completely f***ed up the ability to make non-CH pets now.

Because a pet is level 9-12 in the field does not mean that is the best pet for us to use in Non-CH beasts. We are scientist we learn the system we adjust and we will learn to adapt.

But if you sample 5 level 9s if my math is right you end up with a CL6 anyway. But as you go up experimentation you gain the ability to change the stats on these low end creatures.

I'm not a BE, but I plan on pursuing the profession once my Holo grinding is done. I've been following the profession alot and one gentleman's posts in particular. He posted on our server's forum a few days ago when he finally figured out a recipe to create a "legit" and excellent Non-CH pet. Here is what he posted:

NocteUrNaal wrote:

After the last week of screaming at CL11 and 12 pets, I finally managed to consistantly make a CL10 pet.

2500-3000 HAM

10% kinetic, withmost other resists under 10

Mild Disease

1.99 attack speed, but dmg isn't typically over 50 (hey, something had to be sacrificed)

I have some pre-made ones if you don't care about skins (they're all red gurrecks and razor cats), or email me for a custom skin.

For the other BEs out there who are having trouble making decent (non-bugged) CL10 pets, here's what I did:

Boar Wolf Cub DNA in slots 1-3 Rabid Squall DNA in 4 and 5. Experiment Pysch to max, and keep hardiness, dexterity, and intelligence under 175 or so. Every now and then you might get a CL11-13, but most of the time I get CL10. All done, no resampling and no fuss.

For added convience, you can craft inside the relative safety of an Imperial tower (where the Act II dude is). I am actually standing here as I type this. You can call your droid while inside, and no need to waste bone and hide making camps over and over. Coincidentally, there's a nest of boar wolf cubs (they live in 'a pile of bones') and rabid squalls ('a warren')just 300m away. Handy.

Alright I'll shut up.
