I have 2 accounts. I got the second, because my tailor/merchant/armorsmith needed 12 vendors to look pretty
Yep, I have over 6k items spread out over 12 vendors. I added fashion armor and crates and shields to all that tailor clothing. Result? I have over 400 pieces of bio clothing alone. How many vendors would that eat? I could make 1 of everything a tailor can make and over fill a single master vendor. STUPID! The 2 week limit or delete???? So the night before going on a 14 day vacation I have to play with my vendor, and the instant I get back do it again, and pray it wasn't deleted the day before?? Oh yeah, I just got back from Annual Training with the National Guard. 17 days folks ( they slap a drill around the 2 weeks a year commitment, 17 days.. ). Guess I'd have been ph*cked....
Yes. I'm one of the many who would quit if it went live. Said so before, will say it again. When does WoW go live?? FFXI has an expansion coming out in Sept! If this goes live before JTL,I won't even hang out for that.
Maybe if they upgraded their databases to whatever warhorse UO was using years ago, we could also have 125 vendors with 125 item limit
( I had a tower mall, I ran 30 vendors in it myself as a crafter)

Nancy, I posted this on Doc's merchant thread but I imagine it is going to be lost on page 17.
Is it possible to push for all master crafters to get one vendor and the associated item limits? While a lot of us will still be hurting, this would at least lessen the pain to to some extent, especially if they bump the limits over these restrictive ones.
I'm sure I don't need to remind you that BE has higher pre-requisites than any other crafter, and we're not even using the artisan tree. The devs need to be reminded though.

I just mastered BE a week ago and Im already loving it. Unfortunately this will push me to the door as well, SOE is going to lose so much money over this one! What were they thinking?!
However, I LOVE the fact that empty vendors wont show up on the map, thats outstanding.

The numbers have already been upped considerably from the figures the devs originally intended, IIRC, 10 was the suggested item limit for Business 3

It will probably force me out as well. I'm already unhappy to have to spend 35 skill points just for the privalege of being able to sell my products in a vendor, but currently I have over 1000 items spread across my 2 vendors. 120, lol, that's just a sick joke. It would force me either to give up my professions and do something else, or buy another account, and I'm not going to do the latter. So may as well just pack it in.
I'm sorry to hear this bro

well so long as I can put all my add's in backpacks and sell them that way thats what I'm doing cause the only chefs that buy my stuff are ones that I've meet with and chatted with, so they know I won't jip them..
so uless they nerf this too, or maybe, just maybe add more details to contents of backpacks/containers I won't have to reconfigure my merchnat/BE/Tailor template

Very simple really: if they do this, I quit. I have had it with the crap. Won't be able to keep my storage vendor, andthey are going to delete accounts that have been inactive for over 6 months, so my storage houses have to be emptied out (lot trade, and I don't know when the one who placed them stopped playing, but stop he did, so the houses will be deleted at some point, with all that is in them). Even as a starting Bio-Engineer, I have too much stored in the way of quality resources to do without my storage vendor. I took this account to provide my guild with tissues and supplements, not to get overworked just worrying where I am going to put my stuff next.

You won't be the only one to quit. I was just talking with Eva, a Master BE on Radiant, while getting training, and she says this is the last straw. She apparently needs more than this, and this with a Master Merchant alt. If Master Merchant isn't ENOUGH FOR BUSINESS, how can SOE expect crafters to work!? Note that she generally doesn't need to resell items from the stock room.

Looks like I will wind up quitting too. I have 7 vendors. 1 BE, 5 Tailor and 1 Loot.
This is a joke, we have enough of a problem storing items in houses. 150 per house is not enough with all the resources and items we have.

If this merchant change goes through without house storage limits increasing I am going combat only.
If I can't get healing because of no looping macros I will be looking for a new game to play until World of warcraft comes out.

For a player-driven economy, this is surely sounding like a "dev-driven" economy. Arthur, drop me a line when you pick up your new game (I'll PM you my email). I've already cancelled due to the imbalance in PvP (jedi & combat medics), and if this change goes in, I'll not renew when the day comes. So WHAT about "monopolies"? I make the highest end tissues on my server (with maybe 2 other BEs). Why should I be screwed by this? Between master doctor and master be (my alt has the vendors), I can make well over 110 unique products. All of which sell. **edit** you SOE. **edit** you Hayden Blackman. **edit** you merchants who have cried for so long about vendor poaching that this is what you get now.

no offense but i dont see how this is a big deal...although for me it is..i might have to drop rifleman...just so i can get som merchant skills...okay i guess its sort of a big deal...but its not as big of a deal as some make it out to be and i dont see why anyone would quit the game because of this...

Well how many items do you have on your vendor now? IF mine gets below 110 items I consider it very low and as 110 is the max allowed in this new system the way it is at present time it is a VERY big deal.
Items on vendors would no longer be found in less than full crate/stack size.
