Thread: Easy CL 10 pets: 2k HAM, 40% kinetic and specials

The developers have never said that a specific resist pet would be invalid for a given CL. Some results I've gotten with CL10 petswith the new system inclucde

5100/4300/3900 10% kinetic 30-40 dmg

and

3200/2900/2100 30% kinetic 30-40 dmg

If the pets he's describing are 2200/2100/2000 40% kinetic then I think they may be fine. Especially if they have crap damage.

Someone should go on test center and see if they can make/call these.

Thanks all!

The positive feed back and tweaking notes are awesome. I look forward to trying out your variations. This is what a board is supposed to be, IMO.

Any suggestions on prices for these?

A good thread and good ideas. I will have to give this a try when I get a chance, but it looks promising, and not too overpowered.

I don't have master yet, 4/2/4/4 so far, so most of what I get is A and AA. If this works, you will find a house about 2k north of Tyrena on the Naritus server filled to the brim with these samples And then just DNA templates to save precious space.

Neat formula, thanks for sharing. I use boar wolf for a lot of low-level stuff as well. Great stuff. The main problem with this forumla though is that it's only going to be applicable to a few bio engineers. Namely those with like dna sampling 3 and 4 I'm betting. The reason is that masters don't get average samples and of course noobs can't get AA. Still though, I think it's cool that you shared

when patch hits wont be able to call it

yes you will. When the patch hits and if your pet is "invalid" you will be asked if you want to either tone down the stats to match the CL or raise the CL to match the stats.

200k!

OMG! The most I've gotten was 140k. LOL.

I'm wondering if there is a market for these. At first I'd think so, but so many people don't seem to understand that the pre-nerf pets aren't possible anymore. Contributing to the issue is that I've seen a few people with the CL 9, 9k+ HAMpets that are still callable. People seem to expect that level of pet for only 20k, "well, its ONLY CL 10!". Am I the only one who seems to be running into non-BE players who don't have a clue? Maybe publish 6 will finally fix this?

BTW, I'd appreciate anyones recipe for great CL 40 and CL 20 pets. And how on earth do you get mutant rancor DNA? I use mask enhanced clothes, approach while prone but stillget agroedover and over. I've croaked like 20 times(insurance is KILLING me!)and only gotten 2 attempts at sampling, both failed. Is it just rotten luck, or is there a better method?

Thanks all!

yeah its normal for them to not use their special until they are fully grown

My higher level pets use specials from 50% grown no problem, so either its a min-CL thing or have to be over 50% grown.

To the original poster - my bet would be that this would be uncallable because of resists as others have said - I would be highly surprised if resists over 15% were allowed on CL10. This is still 1.5x what you would see on a wild CL10.

My wild Arachne Webmaster and Warrior used Specials commands on demand from the day they were tamed (this past weekend). Since I am MCH, perhaps this has something to do with my success. Non CH mates are less successful commanding even adult pets to use Specials.

Ranged attacks work at full adult strength even as babies, btw. You just can't command them to us ranged. But send them to attack a critter from a distance and they will range on the way there. Then call them back and repeat, if enough distance remains. Basically Ranged is borked, imho.

If your a upcoming BE on Scylla send lobaca an ingame mail id like to order a nice level 10 pet. I have access to a master BE but it appears that the nonmaster is able to make these alot easier. Im willing to pay hansomly for one of these.

I tried this last night... IT'S BEAUTIFUL! I made a 2k HAM pet with 40 to kinetic, 31 to blast and 21 to cold, specials were crippling and KD with ranged attack.

I gave it away to my best in-game friend and I can't wait to actually sell these... I just wish it could be done with higher lvl DNA samples but oh well, seems ill just have to stock up on the AA and A stuff.

Thank you for a wonderful formula!

Interesting. Not sure if it will pass the nerf test but we'll soon see.

Does it bother anyone else that you have to be lower level in order to make something this good? That smacks of a problem in the system to me, the quality of the dna sample should not increase the final cl of the creature, should it?
