Hi all!

I had peviously posted that this could be done. And, here is my recipie and instructions (For the newer BEs, so you veterans please don't bite my head off). As I'll explain, this is actually easy, but there is a trick involved.

Here is what you need: (A= Average Sample, AA= Above Average)

1- AA Boarwolf

2- A Boarwolf

3- A Boarwolf

4-AA Arachene Drone

5-AA Blurgg Hunter

The slots are numbered, left to right, top to bottom.

DO NOT experiment! I found even 1 point anywhere made the critter to high, CL 11+.

The resulting critter is CL 17. Sample 5 DNA samples from it and make another template (I made gnorts as to not waste valuable meat and flora). The resulting Critter is CL10, 40% Kinetic and usually with 1 or 2 (sometimes ranged) special attacks, and a 2k rating in each HAM bar.

Here is the tricky part. Getting the average and above average samples. As a master BE, your samples are just too high for this to work. (I teamed with a master at first, then teamed with non-master when I, myself, hadmastered. Another option, would be to sell back [ /GASP ] Master and maybe 1 block of sample to stockpile the correct DNA, and then put the critters together when you got your title back). And, a non master will not get the full 2k HAM bar on final crafting. (I got 1.6 to 1.8). So, once again, team work is rewarded in SWG, go figure.

The fact that all three critters come from Endor, and are easily drawn as missions makes this CAKE! Yummy.

Happy crafting!

Kieron Oberon- Ahzi

Again, DO NOT experiment, anywhere, at any time! (you'll see for yourself when you do it anyway).

because resist is too high? otherwise I see nothing wrong with the pet... maybe 20-30% kinetic with 2kham might be about right? or at least thats what I am guessing at.

the resists is too high for a cl 10 creature

We will have to see. No one but the DEVs seem to know or have the slightest clue of whats going to be acceptible or not.

In the meantime, enjoy the process. Its got room for tweaking.

Later all!

Oh, in case you didn't know. One of my freinds who has one of these pets asked, the critters usually don't start using their special attacks till they are close to full grown. I guess thats normal for pets? IDK.

yeah its normal for them to not use their special until they are fully grown

My higher level pets use specials from 50% grown no problem, so either its a min-CL thing or have to be over 50% grown.

To the original poster - my bet would be that this would be uncallable because of resists as others have said - I would be highly surprised if resists over 15% were allowed on CL10. This is still 1.5x what you would see on a wild CL10.

Here is a way for a master to make this recipe:

Collect a bunch of boar wolf dna

create a gnort using just the H and VHQ samples

Experiment until the outcome is slightly less than an AA sample

Make a gnort

Sample the gnort

Replace 2nd Gen Gnort with A Boarwolf in the recipe.

Super. No selling back hard earned skills.

Thanks for this post Mrkieron, I'm going to try it out today.

OK-

Took a bunch of VH and H Boar Wolf samples and made a Gnort. It came out: CL19 6000 HAM and I got a dna strand (AA) that looked like this:

361-51-337-407-339-113-502-344-100-154

Substituting this DNA for A - Boarwolf I got a Gnort that came out:

CL16
3837/3460/3263
40 kinetic, 21 Blast, 31 Cold
2.21 Speed .23 Hit 80-90 DMG
Strong Poison / KD
Ranged = N

Using this dna and a variation of the original recipe I came out (no experimentation) with
CL8 Eopie
1216/821/821
36 Kinetic
18 Blast
18 Cold
30-40 dmg
Knockdown

So I could have pushed the HAM higher, but possibly the first experimentation in physique or prowess would have bumped the CL up significantly.

More on this later!

I was pretty shocked today when I was fiddling with Merek DNa to make good low level kinetic only tanks. I put in an above average Harvester sample in physique, a 2nd gen lvl15 with KN50%, and a bunch of lvl11 2nd Gen (failed nonch pet...KN and energy only, all else vuln). I experimented physique, prowess, and mental all the way up, got a failure on aggresion (fierceness 97/power 1 at the end). Got this (approximate):

cl9 slice hound

7000/5000/3000 KN50% all else vuln 30-40dmg

Nerf bait most likely. I reproduced the results using a 2nd gen clone in slot 5 and 4 with fireceness/power 34/4 (came out 78/23 on combine).

Not one I would sell without a major disclaimer
