And the little CL 1 verrmok I have is tiny![]()

Isn't that just peachy. If TC were up, I could tell you now. Then again so could you. If the pets are still insta growing.
if TC is up, and pets are insta-growing... then it's not TC. I'm making a run of CL9/10 mounts... bantha, cu pa, falump... right now.

TC IS up now... and pets are insta-growing... which isn't necessarily a good thing.
I've got CL10 clones on Tempest in the following skins: bantha, bol, cu pa, dewback, kaadu, and falumpaset. the kaadu is 'fully grown' (as noted in the initial post), and won't take a saddle. I didn't forget the spat... I just don't much feel like making one.
I'm getting the DNA together on TC right now to test the rest... so far, a new TC kaadu is too small, and a falump is big enough.

There is a "natural" non-CH version of every mount critter:
Dewbacks - lesser dewback
Falumpaset - plodding falumpaset
Kaadu - motley kaadu
Bol - lesser plains bol
Brackaset - lowland brackaset
Carrion spats have always been level 10, cu pas, and banthas are now level 10 critters.
So, non-CH can have mounts. They just can't have some BE mounts with stats higher than the level 10 and below critters that were, mostly, put in the game specifically to be mounts for non-CH.

Nice, something for the CH's to look into maybe?
If for only the above reason, I don't mind the size thing (not that it's not cool, I can't wait to get home and play with my BE kitties =^.^=), because CH has needed some type of; I dunno, benefit? Catching and selling wild pets might just help a bit for the few CH left in the game.
So creature handlers, all 7 of them, get to supply wild non-creature handler mounts to all the non-creature handlers. BE's, on the other hand, get to make creature handler mounts for creature handlers, all 7 of them, who can go out and tame their own mounts for free.
Am I missing something here?
Creature handlers have always been able to tame and sellnon-creature handler mounts. This is not a new benefit for creature handlers. It is yet another nerf of the BE animal crafting profession.
When you find that trail that leads to WoW let me know. It couldn't be worse than what I'm left with here. ![]()

Well, technically the new CL calculation system is there to address that. And even still, this doesn't stop them from having a higher-than-10-stats non-ch pet, just from having one that has a saddle on it.
I'm all for the CH's getting some attention - it's what our profession is (was?) here for. With the limited slots in their datapad for holding pets and the time it takes them to grow, I don't think many CH's will find taming, growing, and selling non-ch mounts worth their while.
Spazzers, my sympathy to your plight is EXTREMELY limited.
Long before I started up an avatar to be a BE, I was a CH.
The fact that non-CH have been able to call and control creatures that in the wild would be level 20 to 30 is a slap in the face of CHs who have to spend skill points to call similar creatures. So if CL 10 and below creatures are too small now to take saddles, well, tough. There's not that great a market for mounts to begin with.
You still have the challenge of creating interesting, combat efficent pets for CHs, and you now have medical crafting as a means of support. StimDs alone should keep you in clover.

The Pygmy Bantha and the Cu Pa have been lowered to CL10 so there are more creatures for the CH to sell as pets.
I have 13 factories going, making the components to make the stims and enhancers - I do not make up what I invested in obtaining the resources to craft these "meds." A doc with some BE can make better meds than I as a Master BE am able to craft. What is the point of BE?
Much like Spazzers, I became a BE to craft pets. When my Wrix was turned into a MSP with 900 HAM I dropped musician and started working on BE. It took me close to 3 months to master BE because I refuse to macro my way through any profession.
Chefs don't need BEs as most have enough BE to suit their purposes added to the fact that the chef profession is being overtaken by Artisans who can make just as effective food products without being a chef and using BE additives.
That changes were made to our tissues for tailor and NEVER communicated to us by the dev and that said dev slammed the BE profession in his post on the Tailor forum in indicative of where BE stands in the eyes of the development team.
It appears what with all the changes to the crafting professions and non-combat professions since the CU that we are being encouraged to go to EQ2 where we can craft our little hearts out.
Uh, spaz....not that I like pointing out when people are wrong, but there are a ton of CH's in game now. Why? Because we are teh only ones that can solo things anymore. If there truly are 7, well all 7 of us were in Theed cantina at the same exact time the other day. Im CL 55 (MCH/Dancer/Medic) and I have done all the Etyyy hunting quests up to Sordaan SOLO. Why arent you seeing a large CH customer base? Well its simple, you haven't put anything out for us to buy. Try looking for decent post CU pets as a CH. I spent an hour browsing the bazaar, most of the BE's haven't updated vendors so we can't see stats. No one seems to think putting stats in the name would make it easier for us to find you, HECK I can only find non-CH post-CU pets atm. Try working on making some sweet CH pets and make sure we can find them with a baz search easily. Marketing can go a long way, and a Fambaa with an advertisement in its name makes a nice billboard. I can help you out with this info too, since I still can't fully understand how the pets re-level since they have changed it a few times already. If you can make a lvl 70 do it. Smaller sized pets preferred since bigger pets like Craggy Bols (wild lvl 70) can get in your way in limited view areas. Lvl 35's are also preferred so we can make teams 2 lvl 35's can bring the pain. Give one stun and intimidate the other blind and poison and make their stats as best you can, I promise you every CH in game will be knocking down your door. At present best I could get off pet relevel are 2 lvl 33's 1500 armor, about 3400 health.
I know BE's got the short end of the stick...but then again everyone else did too. We all just need to stop complaining about it and do what we can to try and work around it. I know I have. Sio's post was a bit harsh, but I think he just said what a lot of others were thinking in the wrong way. I mean, wouldn't you be upset if an artisan with no BE skill could make stim c's that were better than yours? That is how CH's looked at non-CH's having these uber pets that would waste any wild tame out there, and you didnt even need CH skill to call it. CH's also did need a source of income. At least now we have something to offer by selling mounts. Plus, I'm sure there is a big market for tiny pets. I know I would love a tiny rancor.
In the end, the CU sucked for us all. I am back to my entertainer ways because its the only way I can have fun anymore. Truth is, its time to just saddle up and accept the changes or move on to new things. I'm close to leaving and if things go downhill anymore I will. But as a fan, and a friend to many in game I am staying and doing what I can to make things work for myself.
