I haven't tried this and am frankly curious about it. But I noticed when I'm swimming in some rivers close to Corant on Corelia that there are schools of fish swimming past and other places that don't have them. Maybe look around for a place where you see schools of fish and drop your hook there.

you have to use bait, I've found it on the bazaar, but it had to get there somehow....

ummm is there a guide for fishing? I cant pull fish 1 out of the water and ive thrown at least 20 bait in the water. 1 of the level 1 schematics calls for fish products, i hope this isnt the only source.

Unfortunately, fishing is the only current way to get seafood product for use in that schematic. At least, it is the only one that has been discovered.

I have caught fish. There was no real technique. Each time the pop-up window appears, choose an action, and press ok, or enter. I think on the next turn, it does the action you selected. Hope this helps!

I've caught several fish, though I lose more bait than anything...
Cast
Nibble-->tug right
Nibble-->tug left
Bite-->tug up
Caught something? -->Small Reel In
that's pretty much my method, though of course not that exactly sequence. once I've gotten a bite, I've never "caught something" unless I do a "tug up" after the bite message.
Make sure you find a good fishing spot. I've caught the most fish on Talus.

You don't need to do anything on a nibble. You can just let it sit there until there's a bite... and then tug and hope you caught something, then reel in.
I wouldn't bother too much with making Charigra though... it doesn't really have much of a use since it adds business acumen...

Which goes to show you that some of these schematics, EXPECIALY the components need some type of description so you can tell BEFORE you make them.

Yeah, the fishing system is almost entirely random. And I'm quite scared that they keep saying they want to make Surveying more like Fishing. To any early beta people, was there any kind of a fish farm to go with the animal farms that were later taken out?
