yea i kinda thought about that after my first post, the thing is i been peddling my wares on the c'net bazaar but the thing is i only using this toon for guild use only, and know i have all this tuff laying around and with the new resources popping up i'm making better stuff.

i'm thinking about just selling a majority of my stuff for cheap to rotate out my stock with the new better stuff

for example my prior vasarian brandy was 409-416 for 44 mins 30 sec. 50 18 charges
my new stuff 431 45 minutes 49 fill 21 uses

and my thak. has gone up about 8-11 points of KD defense so i'm kinda in a pickel on what to do

Well just stick what you can make on there mate, if you're not a well established chef there's really no pressure to be constantly stocked, just take it easy and fill up if/when you can.

That'd be the best way to for you to decide if you want to make a serious go at it.

I started doc before I went chef, back then yes I did fill the vendor, but the stuff was common anyway, it was launch and everything stunk lol

Anyhoo when I went chef, food wasn't really common, and there were a good 3 other master chefs on the server, so I just sorta dabbled and spread the good word about food while RP'ing the cantinas and such

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=chilastra_trade&message.id=164455

and i know alot of that stuff on there is borderline cheap but i harvest most of my own resources and have a BE alt and a tailor guildmate so the subs dont cost me nothing and i stockpiled all kinda of food cause i didnt want to have to stock the guild's stock house every day so i have more food then i can shake a stick at

Start by selling a few types of popular foods/drinks to build up your cashflow for buying more additives and/or better resources. Try to save up to buy food experimentation tapes if possible, the extra points do help.

This was what I was making 6 months ago:

And this is a sample of what I'm making now:

hehe thanks bro, 1 of the reasons i'm underselling is to move that stuff, i'm making bigger and better stuff then what i was in the past thanks to this knee surgery. now if i can find some decent tubers to get me makin 50 fill vercupti i'm good to go

another questiong i been stickin singles on the bazaar in c'net then once someone buys it i send em an email letting them know that i'm a 12 pt chef with a vendor close to c'net should i stop doing that and just put the /way in the title of the food ?

I started with a few foods and added more when I knew I could keep up.

If a customer buys something from your vendor, they will tend to come back if you keep it instock. If they have to go elsewhere, they may continue to go elsewhere. No sense in trying to always lure new customers to your store.

I havent yet used a droid...not once

I was thinking about getting one to help me out with some of the harder critters. I have a few questions

(1) what should I be looking for in a droid? Like I said I've never used a droid and would like pointers on what I should be looking for as in stats as well as type or even if I should get one at all

(2) what price is ok? < I have money but I dont want to just throw it away >

(3) would grouping with a droid/pet also cause an neg %harvest drop as they do when grouping with players?

thanks for the help

To answer your questions, but all out of order -

Grouping with a droid/pet does not decrease your harvesting.Your XP wlll increase tho, as you are now grouped. The correct model droids will even increase your mission levels when grouped with them and other players.

Price, depends on your server. My server has great droids for around 80k, I mean freaking great, about the best you can get in the game.

What to look for - two choices - Fighter or Fighter/ tank.

Probots are mainly fighters. Their HAM is in the 3k+ range, and they have one attack- energy. They are fast, have a 75% chance to hit, and can do 150+ damage per hit. They are faster than the R models, but have less HAM.

R models. HAM is 4k+, two attacks - kinetic and electrical, Armor is better. Slower, less chance to hit, less damage. But they stay alive longer.

Using a droid speeds up your lair dropping time by over 50%, and if you let the droid tank, you take less damage. Send in the droid to start an attack, while you toss a trap or two, then attack, and you can take on some bruisers solo (ok, not solo, but close enough). Combat droids DO NOT RUN when intimidated, only when chasing down a target or if their HAM is really really low. Droids told to attack will continue to do so, even if you are incapped (saved me some DBs). The guard command means if it attacks you, the droid will attack it.

If you are going for creatures, get an R model with high HAM and let it tank. If you are still going for XP, I have seen models with massive HAM, armor, autorepair and one combat module. It attacks but does little damage, so you get most of the XP.

hope this helped

JB

oh yeah, harvestors suck. One trick ponies do not attack, will run if grouped, and you have to tell them to harvest on each creature each time. Do not get one.

harvesters are good while u grind, but after that it's only an additional 10% to your harvest, I've got an LE repair bot, 6k ham, but haven't tried it in combat yet, if i do it'll be to attrack the enemy and keep them busy while i bash them over the head, it's got 2 repair modules which means it can repair other bots and itself in combat and out of combat, but atmittly the combat attack is lame and weak.

I wouldnt say harvesting droids are useless. I find that I rarely pull it out since I can harvest just as fast but they can make life easier if you want to use them. I never grouped with my droid so it never would run during combat.

As a Rifleman I would stand at a great distance and send in my droid to harvest while I move onto the next target. As a TKM when fighting lairs I could use it to harvest while I continued to fight. Just takes a bit of timing so that by the time all creatures are dead I am attacking the lair or walking away instead of having to pick among the piles of bodies for harvesting.

Now, if they increased the harvesting mod on it drastically that would make them worth using. Using it to harvest an extra 10 hides from a rancor doesnt exactly make them useful. I only usually use it when I am doing a contracts(however rare) so I can keep fighting in a high density area like north of the Smuggler Outpost on Endor. I can fight there all day without one mission terminal run. My droid assists me as I take on those excellent natural arachne lairs.

Just wish I could get the dang thing to rename... I want his title to be Master Ranger.
