Hmm, I haven't had the joy of helping shut down a base however. I am not 100% with how you do it. I have sat at the terminal only to have my legs cut out by a damned jedi. So I guess I should number my questions. 1. Do you have to wait for another professional to finish their portion or you can all start to unlock it? Then the actual bio engineer is supposed to resequence the terminal? comparing RNA correct? Sounds like fun what exactly it has to do with a military installation I dunno but sounds like fun none the less.

Lets just bust a few misconceptions here.

BH 2xxx goes first. (2x Higher lower game)
Smuggler xx1x goes second. (Slicing term)
BE Novice goes third. (DNA Sequence game)
Commando x1xx goes fourth. (Flicking on/off switches that affect others states)
Squad Leader Novice goes last. (I believe just like flicking a switch, but not sure. Def easy job though)

Do PVE bases count towards your scores?

My main is TKM/Comm4100/BH3000. So I do the Commando and BH parts, my alt is MBE/MDoc so a guildy controls her for the BE part. Its a shame, as the only profession I want to try it as is BE

Assuming u accept that I have actually taken part in base cracking PVE base I am on about 25. I've stopped counting. For PVP bases...a big 0. I hit the cloner enough without having some gank squad jumping me. When I want to PVP, I do it on my own terms...the BH terms.

Noticed this:

1. list of letters that you can select from are always the same. When they are paired they are 'taken' - ie. you used them to match something.

2. read down the list of the letters. from the one that you *choose* to match the first base in the sampling string, you will be allowed matches as if you took it and it down next to the list. anything that matches will be matched, and mis-matches/already paired sets ignored.

so ... say sample is this:

AGATTTAC

and partial list is:

T

A

T

GC

CG

T

C

T

A

C

A

you could choose any of the T's to match. However if you select the first one you will only match 2 pairs (the 2 t's), pick the second one and you will match almost all the pairs in the given sequence (5/6 of the first 6). Hope I made that clear... so if you don't have very many matches it is always best to start from the BOTTOM to leave as many long runs open as possible.

Since the major patch that changed the GCW, our crew lost count when we topped 70 bases. We have a target of 20 tonite, basically clear an entire planet for someone. PVE are easy, just have to get around the tough npc's in the hq's. The sf bases are more fun tho, out of our total base kills 18 have been SF.

In our run tonite, we have 4 SF's to hit along with 15-16 pve bases. I love my job

I've never timed myself, but I can guess on the number of take downs at around 10.

Most of the bases I've helped take down were on Dantooine, and I have major lag issues there. A good 2 - 3 second between different pairings.

I can tell you this though. I've gotten down to having to match one "A" to a "T" and it took me 7 times to get an "A" in the sequence. I started counting after the 4th reset.

Ouch I hate that.

The worst for me was a C at the top of the list on the 23 pair to match. Took foever to get a G at the beginning of the string. Now I always use the top four as soon as I can. Saves a bit of reseting at the end.

Here is another good stat question.

What was the most pairings you have received from one sequence? Mine is 8

Same here. I try to get the top 3 right away, since the bottom ones are a piece of cake to get.

I've probably helped destroy about 15 PvE bases, no PvP ones. I've never timed myself, though the first time I tried it, it probably took me about 15 minutes to do it. Everyone was getting pissed at me for taking so long. The thing they don't understand is it takes time to do, especially when you don't know what your doing. Now though, I can do it within a few minutes.

sorry but thats a load of bull...I am Commando 4100. How in the hell will it let me take down bases if its x4xx.

check out the link...It's a base slicing guide, and it says Heavy Weapons 1 too...

Base Slicing Guide

"So you want to slice a base. It requires 5 roles to be filled,
each with a specific requirement. BH(inv 2), Smuggler (Slicing 1),
BE(Novice), Commando (Heavy Weapons Support 1) and Squad Leader
(novice)."

My bio is relativly new. only a few weeks old. We planted our city on rori due to the fact that the planet we had been living on had no more spaces available for citys. Well we found a good spot on rori. not to far from a SP. Bad thing... it had THREE bases of the opisite faction there. So we did some searches found the ppl we didnt have. ppl needed are (Smugler,BH,BIO,Commando, and Squad Leader) Not sure if smugler is first or BH but its one of them two then the rest is correct order. And you dont have to be a master just a master of a certain brach. Not sure what it is for them all for bio its X/4/X/X and for commando its X/4/X/X. as it was i was the bio who was fortunite enough to do the bio part. You just have this long list of letters like A,C,G,T over and over like 25 or something then you get a set of leters like ccta and you have to pick a letter to go with it. If you get it wrong you get a new set to match one to. As you get them right the list of 25 or so starts to look like this. AC,CT,GA,AA, so forth and so all till all the single ones are matched up. I think they could have made it more exiting like make us sample the recruiter or generel or something and then make a dna templete of them to fool the over ride term. But it was still fun all theses red flashing lights the siren going off. I even looted a +6 to beserk AA wasnt a bad day at all.

30 sec? did you actually time yourself because that's awfully fast and to do that i'm pretty convinced you'd have to do it all in like 5 strings, getting 4 or 5 matches each time...

Best number of matches i've gotten so far was i think 5...maybe 6 but i can't remember. I was especially happy because that day i also got like 4-match strings in that one too

I'm part of a very small guild with only 4 active players at the moment. Luckily, those four players are a BE, Smuggler, Squad Leader and BH/Commando. We've taken down 4 or 5 bases in the last week or so and it has been a lot of fun.
