I went Krayt hunting with my guild and another guild last night and the Krayts just kicked the crap out of me. You would never be able to soloa krayt.

i think with uber buffs, including dancer and musician mind buffs, the use of powerboost, warcry, and intimidate, and pixie and gold a tka might have a chance. But...would also need to have some phat stims on hand...And no doubt at somepoint would have to use FOW.

With all that said, I thinkthings would still need to line up right lol

I've almost done it. *sigh* In a test of fun, I removed my VK (yes, bare handed), and tried. The fight raged all over the canyon; I was winning easily (It was under half health), I was still full HAM. But it decided to run after a dune lizard when it knocked me dizzy and down. It vanished before I could get to it.

Frustrated, I equipped my VK and pulled out my AT-ST, and killed the next one very easily. This was the grand canyon krayt dragon variety.

I've also killed one where my parter was dead for 90% of the fight.... just um, well the one that stuns.

I had good composite armor, full doctor/dancer/musician enhancements, and started with powerboost these.

30k HAM or 300k HAM, doesn't change that much. As long as I can keep my mind full, I can beat it. (well, as long as the fight is under the 2 hour duration of my mind enhancements).

Keep it intimidated at all times. Keep self healed at all times. Keep all dizzy/stuns healed. Warcry and KD and lunge as much as possible. I would only go for unarmedhit3 when it was delayed or knocked down, and only then if I was fully healed and it was intimidated.

Good luck.

Highest you can sample is I think 75, so no you can't sample krayts. Biggest thing samplable is a mutant rancor. Swgcreatures has the list of CL's though to check.

cant sample anything with 'krayt' in its name (all to high of a difficulty level)

the closest you can get is Kimogila Hatchlings.. although I'm not sure why you'd want to because there are better creatures out there..

nice for min tissures, i'd make a dh17 snub, i have a pretty good one, only takes one tissue, nice gun for standard use

dh17 is pretty worthless in pvp...and nothing special in pve...nothing that would justify krayt in my opinion since anything "tough" is going to have armor and make the ap0 dh17 do horrible dmg.

if you want a helpful pve weapon...you can try dxr6 for acid/ap1, but takes 5handlers (i think) so 6tissues.

if you want pvp, either go w/ laser or elite...depending on who you pvp against and whether most of them have ranged mitigation or not & how your server is on resources for the elite. laser will have superior dps, but elite will fair better against mitigation. laser takes 3handlers (4tissue), elite requires 4handlers (5tissue).

for pve...laser and dxr6 are your only intelligent options...acid if you fight alot of energy resistant/acid weak targets...laser for just 'bout everything else. the medium piercing will make it a far cry more useful than any elite/dh17/e11/etc...and it has the best dps of all the carbines.

i would say "wait for the revamp" but it seems that could be awhile...

I recently got myself a buncha krayt tissues. They aren't GREAT, like +30, -.3, but Any tissue is better than none. I had a Krayt laser and a krayt Elite made.(Laser 506 3.3, Elite 430 3.5) and I was wondering What Other carbines i should have made Krayt, i have 4 tissues left.
