Honestly this is a great thread.. i wish it wouldnt be turned into an argument..but more of a discussion..

for me and i know for many others all a BE was good for was making a few good house pets.. but now.. not being able to aquire CH skills..and.. not able to use my mountain kreval anymore.. a BE is a much more needed..

now that you are way more viable.. you should take this opportunity to take advantage of someones request to be educated..

Nice priceing structure.

but I think you'll have to settle fo r alot less :/

Only major thing I'd recommend you ask for would be 20% kinetic and a few k Ham

what server you on ?

ps spend 26 points on ch and I'll make ya some thing err nearly close

BTW, saying that my brackaset has 10k HAM is misleading.

It had: 10k HEALTH, 6k ACTION, and 4k MIND. If you even out that points, it really only has approximately 6k HAM. Again, I sacrificed its other stat points to migrate everything over to health.

cl9 with 10k ham is embarassing. 54% kinetic is embarassing. 170 damage is embarassing. If it had anything lower than 2.5 for speed or greater than .2 for ToHit, that would be embarassing. According to the way the devs want creatures to be is this. CL9 = diseased nuna: 300 ham, .3 tohit,40 damage at 2.0, mild disease, vulnerable to stun. If you are able to do better than that and you are not a master, there is something wrong.

thanks.. I am on Gorath.. and as far as the stats i posted.. that was just an example so those reading would understand my price structure.. honestly i was happy with my mountain krevol.. as long as i could get something similar that would be great.. hehe though would still love better.. hehe a dizzy/knockdown special combo.. ^^ hehe.. or at least a knockdown.. as a melee fighter.. gets annoying when your target runs away ......

that's just it, from a numbers perspective, that clone has way too much juice compared to it's rind. Even with the aggregate HAM of 6k, it is still way above par for cl9. Im not talking about the comparison between what is crafted and what is found in the wild. Hell, your arguement there does hold water because my friend finds weapons in the wild that have special attack types like poison cabines. I'm not a WS, so I dont know what they can make, but a guarantee they cant make that. You are correct in assuming that i dont have a decree from the devs regarding pet balancing. One thing i do know is that they set up a CL system based on animal stats and the stuff yall are making does not follow that system. Therefore, we know what yer doing is not what was intended and the more you do it, the faster the hot fix will hit.

Without getting into an argument let me point outa couple things

1) The system is bugged. nonCH pets should nevet have the stats of CL30 pets and the bug(s) that are currently allowing this will be fixed and the proliferation of these out of wak CL10 pets will likely result in a pretty hard nerf on the unbalanced pets currently out there so fon;t waste your money on one.

2) Master BE's really like making money. But to make a CL10 pet with decent stats is really a lot harder then making a CL50-60 Kimogila with kick butt stats. Master CH's are paying upwards of 200k for the high end Kimogilas. So for the same amount of workwe could make 50k for a nonCH pet or 250k for a Kimogila..... Guess why the BE's are not jumping to make you your nonCH pet? Even beyiond the super high end Kimos there is a fantyastic market for CH "combos" of CL35-35 and CL24-23-23 pets that pay even better becasue its multiple sales. Once the market balanced out a bit as the CH's get replacements for their gimped wild pets then BE's will have more time to stock then nonCH pets, just be patient.

well one thing about this argument from outside your profession.. i am master Arcitect now.. and a few patches ago .. when I was able to make BER 22 mineral heavy miners. and BER 28 Fusion.. that was fixed within a day ... what has it been now over a week... for the BIO changes>?? if it was that big of a mistake.. I would think they would fix it that fast too... but like i said.. i am outside of the BIO prof.. so i am not claiming to know much about it

To say that a creature is CL30 without even knowing what determines a creature's level is misleading. People seem to have a fixation on a creature's HAM. They see high HAM and automatically assume that should equate to high CL. Do you even bother to ask its vulnerabilities? Its distribution of hit points in its HAM? It's resists? Its speed? Its chance-to-hit? etc.

I think it's fine to have a non-CH with 6k HAM, as long as its other stats are gimped to make up for it.

Heh was gonna post a big ole flame here.. but decided against it. Keep making the super-pets, I highly doubt they're going to be here after the holidays are over.

What!!?? i get low star for what?? first of all .. i came to your forum to get some education,... i came up with my offer based on what i was seeing in vendors.. IF i need to pay more.. to get a good Non.. ch pet.. that is what i am trying to find out.. these forums are to help others... but so far all i see is .. alot of hey look at me my opinion is stone..

like I said.. if i need to pay more.. i will.. it that is the value of the pet.. as an archetect i uderstand... some items.. which seem small actually take a ton more work to make.. although customer base doesnt allow my profession to charge based on the effort to create it doesnt mean i think others shouldnt as well.. i dont have a problem of paying what things are worth.. that is simply what i am trying to find out...

as much as i hate to see it he's prob right. but not after the holidays. i don't think the dev's can redo the system that fast. hell, they still don't know how to fix bh marks being unattackable or attacking innocent bystanders (i had to kill someone mark that aggroed on me today!)

but just remeber that they "fixed" the fwg5 and scatter pistols.

and for masters claiming not to be able to make cl16 pets as good as the cl10- stop experimenting so much. you can stop. you don't have to use all the points. you're pushing all the stats to min of the upper levels, so they come out rather poor. the non-masters only have a few xpm pts to use and don't have enough to push it to thehigher levels.

and just a thought, maybe we won't get changed. think of the weapons and loot you find in nature (looted off mobs or done by completing quest). how many of them are superior to what a weapon/armorsmith can make? given there is legendary loot, but the skilled builder make items that far surpass any you find in the "wild."

what is wrong with the system is that the "dabblers" will be able to make as good low end pets as masters.

From my time walking in a BE's shoes it seemed that the "bug" lies in how the CL is handled when using DNA samples from armored creatures. It's not just the deathhead or kamurith, although it is more noticable withthese creatures, but all armored critters that have the bug.

I hope they get this fixed PDQ, and I hope that all of you don't go broke from refunding people that bought bugged pets.

It is NOT an obvious system bug. Why would a creature with great HAM, but absolutely garbage resists, high vulnerabilites, low damage, and ZERO specials be considered something that's CL30? I guarantee you that in the wild, CL30 critters don't have lopsided stats that can be possible with a BE creation.

I really would like to know what all these "obvious bug, obvious exploit" people are referencing for them to make such a broad, sweeping assumption. The fact is that they're not referencing anything. They're basing their judgement on whatTHEY think the calculation of creature level should be, and not on anything factual.

I'm wondering if they think that creature level should be weighted heavily on raw HAM, ignoring everything else about the creature's overall stats. I doubt they've even seen the rest of the stats on these creatures they've rubber-stamped as exploited critters.

Zaket wrote:

Since it's an obvious system bug, continued use of that bug to produce spurious sub CL 10 is an exploit. Using a system bug to produce erroneous but advantageous results is the very definition of an exploit.
