Normal player bounties would be the number one thing I could ask for.

Kudos to Tiggs for posting in this forum. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a red name in here.

Since you’re asking for individual lists, here’s mine.

1) Recover DNA on critical failure at master level. This is by far the most annoying part of being a BE. Hours spent to sample and juggle unique resources to have two chances of them being destroyed. Other crafting professions simply try again with the same resources. We cannot, DNA is unique.

2) Loot schematics for flyers, snakes, and other bipedal creatures (e.g. gurks, purboles, squills). Also fix the secret research data or get it out of the schematic.

3) Display the correct weight of resources in tissue schematics. (50%OQ 30%PE 20%FL) This seems to be a simple text replacement. Minor, but it would help out new BE's and non BE's.

4) Increase the egg harvest. Maybe up to the same rate as fish. Musicians/dancers don't make enough money in the game to pay for the cost of the tissues to make their clothes.

5) Creator name in pet after it is tamed. I would guess that architects would want this too for deeds. Given the current deed system this might take more work than it’s worth, but it would sure be nice to get credit for good crafting.

6) Special attacks. They're listed in the DNA. Let them pass to the template, deed and pet.

7) More high level creatures to sample from. Isn't this just a flag that gets set?


Other stuff:

DNA stacking doesn't sound like it would work so good. If I understand it right, all the stats would need to be the same. Not what most people are looking for. A special DNA storage device sounds much better. In a droid or maybe just a DNA refrigerator that only works when placed in a house. Again might be more work than it’s worth.

Creature level indicators in template creation. This would make it so anyone could make any level pet. This has it's good points and it's bad points. Good point: less work. Bad point: lesser emphasis on player skill/knowledge. Good point: saves time. Bad point: less satisfaction. For me the bad points carry more weight than the good points. Having the CL in the template description after it’s made might be ok. Might be better if it was just an approximation. It would save a little time.

I know I haven't said anything about tissues other than fixing an apparent bug and the egg issue. The reason for this is that for all the hype about wanting more useful tissues and more tissues in general, the tissue crafting system itself works pretty good even though the economic repercussions might not be the most desirable.

As for CL 10 pets. That’s a can of worms I really don’t want to be involved in. Too much headache for something I do for recreation.

Intimidate is way to juicy of a fruit to be hanging that low in the skill trees. A novice level skill , and is by far one of the best skills in this game. No certification , just 100 spacebucks and you can increase your power by 2 fold. You have to level up to get a stun attack, and STUN does not hold close to intimidate by any means. I have played just about every profssion in the game, and the melee classes got it easy. Bio-e clothing makes this skill even more effective even against classes with defense to intimidate. Intimidate is spamable, no timer. not every 20 seconds but you can spam, spam and more spam it.


Just today I, novice brawler/BountyHunter, intimidated the tusken observer repeatedly. Should a novice be able to do this to one of the toughest MOB's in the game? I intimidate alot things, Nightsiter elders, Mutant rancors, Dark Jedi Masters and other high level Mob's.


Have you ever watched 2 melee stackers duel? It takes all day, they hit each other for like 40 floaty damage and intimidate has alot to do with this. I seen a guy with 800 max damage powerhammer hit this melee stacker for 78 points of damage! Granted they have all those defenses, but intimidate is by far the most determinate of all the defenses.

For me, I'd like more skins, or even better yet, modifiable skins. I should be able to attempt to replace feet with flippers, add wings, horns, etc. Personally, I'm a Bioengineer because I love it, but only pursue it...casually. I sell at reduced prices to guildies, and break even at the end of the day. So yes. Skins, colors, etc. Why is that I can't make snakes, amphibians, birds, etc...



Though I feel the most pressing issue for the overall proffession isn't within us, but rather the creature handlers. Since droids are just as good if not better than cl10 creatures, and CH is underpowered, nobody really buys cl10 pets. Even mounts are never used. More tissues wouldn't hurt either (I'm thinking tailor mods for nearly everything)...

Why do people insist on having this weak-azz piece of hyperbole regurgitated over, and over and OVER again? It's as lame as when the first clueless newb said it a long long long time ago.

I think they mean "Master Dancers have more melee defense than us, and they dont even fight things" or something to that extent.

1. Melee professions are somewhat preferred right now. Give ranged something extra. Surely you want this to be more Star Warsy with blaster fire going off rather than seeing mostly defense stackerish melee types.

2. Too many shots are blocked by lightsabers. Since bounty hunters are the ANTI-JEDI, give them a skill to bypass SOME of the saber block.

I really don't think you will make it this far into the post but take it from someone who has been a BH from the start. one year have I been walking around withthe BH tag and let me tell you i'v seen it all. from the time we could PvP and sometimes win to now where we must take a melee class to even think about pvp. Bounty Hunter has got to be the MOST NERFED CLASS THIS GAME HAS EVER SEEN. you guys have nerfed every part of our class from the pistol line, carbin line, to the only real weapon we had the LLC. I don't even use my BH skills in PvE or PvP anymore. I run around with my cool BH tag hitting stuff with my VK's. we have been looking for a fix to our master skills from day one, we got to be the only class that does not use our master skills ..no really. you guys made this game from day one to be ruled by Defenses and then say BH's can't have defenses cuz that would make us to tuff. now you put a timer on changing weapons, a nerf that only really jacked the BH's up, THE ONLY CLASS IN THE GAME THAT NEEDS TO BE CHANGING WEAPONS OUT IN A FIGHT. THATS THE CORE OF OUR COMBAT PEOPLE. ok now to the really good stuff. you want us to keed jedi pop down and make us the only class in the game that can take bounties out on other players but then you take the perma death out and give these guys SUPER block so now Jedi stand there and laugh their glowing asses off as we try for 15 min's to land a hit making us have to pull in small armies to take out Yoda's altar boy!!



so if i hate it so much why don't I just pick a new class you say???

cuz im not someone who walks away from something I think could one day be a good.



and one last thing. I really hope you guys do better with the combat fix than you did with the Jedi revamp....

My proffession is Jedi:


Problem 1:

- first of allGRIEFING is one of the things that should be tackled. (a BH lets the jedi recieve DB by an NPC or animal). Jedi clones at a shrine, BH mission is still up so he kills the jedi when he/she is defenceless (no buffs)or have it killed by animals or NPC's again and again and again....... this is very annoying for starting jedi.


Why not give the BH his reward when he engaged in combat with the jedi and the jedi gets killed either by Animal, NPC or the BH. That way its more realistic.


Idea:

Appart from that I would like to see BH's get trophees for their Jedi kill's. Anyone remember the old Diablo online game? (where people could collect ears from the people they killed.) This doesn't have to be so horrible but maybe broken Lightsabers with the name of the jedi on it. Just a thought.


Problem 2:

Jedi all revolves around the Lightsaber. Which is close to what it was in the movies.... only thing is that Force Powers are never used. Force Powers is what makes a Force Sensitive battle look cool. Anyone that has battled Nightsisters will agree...... I don't know how you want to fix this. But PvP between jedi or jedi vs BH would be much more interesting when it has the lighting fly through the air......

ok here' s my list of issues:


1) TEF should be fixed.

jedi dead remove tef, bh dead remove tef, no more I can' t attack my mark cuz there is no tef. Do something about the grouptef:

jedi can have their groupmates get involved, while bh can' t! I hate watching my friends die cuz I can' t do anything but watch

get rid of the overt tef when you are fighting jedi.


2) bh should have defenses

- create a new defense line or something: jedi defense and give bh at least 100 at master ( this way bh won' t own in regular pvp),

else give them melee defense!

- defense vs knockdown, dizzy an stuff like that. Jedi havepowerfull state attacks and can make quick work of bh.

the offensive bh visionaint working no more cuz allmost all the attacks are ineffective.

- jedi are capable of getting into melee range quite quickly after burstrun wears of. a simple dizzy and kd/lunge is enough to end the

fight.

to conclude this issue: jedi have been made more potent pvp' ers while bh' s stay behind (allthough the increase of skillpoints did make bh more potent too).


3) increase jedi mission payout. I am losing money on even a succesfull mission

As far as added content, player bounties would be REALLY great.

I think most BH are obsessed with hunting Jedi for two reasons: They're sick of seeing themrunning around unchecked, andthey have nobody else to hunt.

If I could have fun chasing a regular player around, one who I could actually take in a fight and who wouldn't have 700 groupies with him at all times and who wouldn't make a big stink about everything, I'd be a lot happier. I know the smugglers in particular are with us on this one. Put failed/rogue BHs on the terminals too, I'd love to have somebody on my tail if I screw up a mission. As is, we've been given the responsability of keeping the Jedi population in check. What ever happened to Vader hunting down Jedi? Maybe if we weren't specifically shoved into the role of sole counter to the Jedi hordes, there wouldn't be so much "griefing" and whining going on.


As far as fixes... make Master worth it, make us at least somewhere in the general vicinity of the power level of Melee (particularly against the only prey that is offered to us), make our missions worth doing ($$$), and get rid of some of the bugs that just won't go away.

Player Bounties would have to be handled properly. Last thing we need is griefers putting bounties on new players heads just for a 'laugh'. Believe meit will happen. I would like to see player bounties, it would add content, but it could be a real pain the ass.


'You killed my mob, gonna put a bounty on you'


'I don't like him from the forums, put a bounty on him'


'I'm banned from his house, BOUNTY'


Alot of people in this game are honourable, but alot are asshats and will do anything to grief someone. Maybe bounties could be consentual like combat.
