All you will have to do is restart the macro when it finishes. This will barely affect most atk macroers
Aye, but to realy do away with recursive macros they will have to remove the ability for a macro to call on another macro to start, there would also be the question of keying a marcro to start the other macro from the quickbar.
As it is right now, I can only put 3-4 crafting sessions in each macro, which means to do INN's without it catching up on itself I need to have 5 macros(2 for bsn's), and there isn't enough room on the quick bar for 5 macros and the crafting tools they need; When I try to go over the 3-4 per macro, I am no longer able to edit anything after the 4th. If I try to select something from that part of the macro to change it puts the cursor at the end of the entire macro and will not let me move it, the only way to change anything from this part is to back space and retype the whole thing.
The only workaround I know of for this would be to keep a copy of it in a .txt file and alt tab out to edit it, and then c/p it into the game, but that sortof defeats the purpose of having put it into an ingame macro so I wouldn't have to alt tab.
Unless they are planning on coding a system to detect and squash recursive macros, I'm not sure how they could do it without removing most of the current macro system.

Hi Tiggs,
there were some points in this VERY LARGE thread which were repeated again and again. And I agree withthese points, though there were only a few proposals that hit exactly my opinion:
1 - I know that the discussions about the Player-Bounties are very difficult, foremost the problem, that if players could hire BHs to kill the players they want to see dead it could drive the game into a disaster. Money is a very easy thing in SWG (for some people easier than for others) and everyone could open a huntingseason on anyone.
But there was a proposal that sounded very clever to me: Connect the appearences of players on BH-Terminals to the Faction-Standing of some Factions. If maybe a player has Jabba-Factionstanding -5000, he might appear on a BH-Terminal as a mission from Bib Fortuna. Or if one has Cor-Sec Standing -5000 the Cor-Sec starts a hunt.
2 - The LLC was a very interesting Weapon to me (BH-only...), but soon I recognized that it isnt. The point to link this branch to the riflebranch from the marksman was a good idea. It would alsomake sense for a BH to pickup the rifleman as second eliteprofession, so he can pick the pistoleer, the carbineer or the rifleman. Sounds perfect!
3 - Gadgets would bring more fun to the Profession indeed. Some traps maybe like the Adhesive Mesh from the Rifleman or other gimmics that make hunting more... creative!
4 - The discussion about the weaponchange-delay is right! It IS much too hard for the BH-Profession as declared multiweapon-Profession to wait 6 seconds for a weapon-switch. This would be a nice thing for the MBH-Box!! No Delay for the deadly MBHs.Players (Non-BHs) would not become MBH JUST to get this favor, because the requirements are too hard. But BH would be much more interested to become a MASTER, to be a reals Quickshot
This far from me.
Thx, Portus

That seemed clear enough to me. A dev finally stops in on all of the profession boards, and asks for input, and gets to read a half dozen or so posts with people bickering instead? What a waste.
How about getting the last 7 or so posts deleted, this one I'm postingincluded? Maybe unclutter this thread a little, so the folks that want to post ideas to improve the game can stay on topic, and not waste their time with this gradeschool finger pointing crappola.

Tiggs, I dont think the problem with BE's lies striclty with us, its tied into CH's. We have the ability to create some amazing pets, and I believe most BE's LOVE that process. However its not really the process of making pets where the problems lie, its pets themselves. Because they are next to useless, especially in PvP there is minimal market or use for our amazing pets we create. This is IMO our biggest issue.

To me the serious issue about Bounty Hunter is not having players bounty, jedi bounty etc. All that will be hard to achieve if we have no defenses as part of the elite Bounty Hunter profession. I know other professions mix defenses from other sbut that just make them stronger. We do that because we have nothing at all; forced to master another professions for defenses compare with other people who master 2 and both have defenses. What is the use of have speed and accuracy when people with stacked dodge can get a hit, or a melee classknockdown us when they are not even close. I master pistoler with Bounty Hunter but I still behind in defenses because my first profession have nothing that I can add to pistoler compare with a pistoler/fencer.
May be we have to have a better clear understanding of what is the real role of a Bounty Hunter in the game. At least I'm not glad I don't have to master scout which I did before the change. I'm not quiting bounty Hunter because it help me to get xp for force sensitive, but I think that will be the number one cause most people drop Bounty Hunter. Too much of a elite profession with no defenses. I think second will be the mastering of one colunm on the scout tree which it help a lot but now I see a lot of hibrid BH runing around just concern about killing jedi. I think there must be other things besides just hunting jedi. May be give something important to the people who take the time to master the BH profession. What about unnerf the specials Bh adquired at master level will help, so master BH will separate from the hibrids ones. Give the MBH something which is worth mastering the profession. Professions like Rifleman need to be master so you can take complete advantage of all the profession have to offer, Bh specials more effective at master level, Slave 1 spaceship, special weapons at master level, something like that.

The things that are most important to me are 1) Non Jedi Player Bounties--I'd like to see some system to implement these into the game, maybe factional rank or pvp rank could play a part in determining who would have bounties placed on them. 2) Increased payout for all NPCbounty missions. I just can't make a living running them right now. Maybe throw us some black sun bounties. 3) Make ranged BH's more competitive. Right now the major jedi hunters are melee based characters with invest 3. MBH's should be the most proficient at hunting jedi, not fencers/tka's.
Thank you for posting and asking for our opinions and wishes, I realize many of the issues can't immeadiatly be addressed, but it's nice to know you care enough to find out how we feel.
Thx Again

When you are all quite finished
, if we are looking at brawler solely:
Warcry needs to be an area not a cone special.
Beserk2 needs to be made useful it is very rare for a person to master brawler before an elite melee profession and once you're an elite master why would you need it. 90s is also far too long to not be able to pull a special.
Getting TKN really isn't that much harder than getting any of the others. With the way TK is so unbalanced atm it's a good thing that it's harder to get TK

Hi Tiggs-
It is good to see interest in improving the profession, and since the Master Scout req was lifted, perhaps some real action will happen on this. I have been MBH since before vehicles and player cities (think shuttleports), and you need to imagine what a grind Investigation was. Trying not to be repetitive here, so a few thoughts:
1. Attainable BH only armor with LS resists. The jedi (on Starsider at least) are getting pretty powerful. With no defense against LS, and LS Block in play, it is no contest in Jedi vs. BH (with our lousy defense.) BH armor seems to be no longer dropping, and turning it into Mandalorian in the Death Box Bunker is next to impossible. Why is this so hard to obtain? Only masochists put themselves through Investigation, so can't this be made easier to get?
2. You cannot tell the faction of the Jedi mark. This is an issue for some of us, because so often it seems we Imperials are outnumbered. I don't like killing Imps, and have abandoned many missions because when I get there, there the Jedi is, in matching faction purple. Would love to have a way to either filter missions or tell the factional status at the terminal.
3. (OK, I give up on not being repetitive) Some sort of valuable benefit for Master status. Weapon, use of LS resistant armor, anything. I dropped 620 AP on that Master tag, and some guy who goes to Inv 3 and carries a cop's baton gets to take out Jedi just like me.
4. GET RID OF THE UNSOLICITED WEAPON SWITCH DELAY. Dumb idea, player opinion is this was done (along with too many other things) to placate the Jedi Political Action Committee. (JPAC in future reference. Lol.)
5. Better defense, or waaaaaaay better offense.
6. I have gone MBH and Master Pistoleer, since I am personally fond of Ranged more than Melee (this attitude gets me killed often, but hey, it's a RPG. Go with what you want.) Carbine does nice damage right up until the specials bleed you dry. Since Pistol is the only real option to stack ranged, why not have a pistol that does better damage? Even krayt scatters don't deal dps comparable to other ranged weapons. Give the bounty hunter something that deals some real damage. I am a hired killer after all.
7. Someone already said it. LLC is fantastic! (At killing lairs) Usless broadside of a barn kinda weapon.
I really think that BH and Commando should be the toughest combat characters in the game, and they are not. All of the elite melee professions that are tougher only require 4 boxes of basic brawler. These two require a marksman mastery. Plus, they seem more in tune with the EU (along with Smuggler). Ulitmately though, I think this whole thread will stagnate until after all the JTL bugs (inevitable, and no one's fault) are addressed (which is as it should be) and Combat Rebalance is done. So, we're looking like 6 months before anything is going to happen.

My main problem with the proffesion is the fact that on top of having to be a scout and a medic to be a BE, I also have to use up valuable skill points on the artisan tree if I want to run a vendor. After having master BE andthe artisan requirements to run a vendor it doesn't leave many skill points for anything else.
The other thing is that we can't create any flying pets. I seem to get a lot of people asking if I can make flying pets lately, and all I can tell them is "only if you have a lot of lag."

Thanks for the shown interest in our chosen profession.
1) dna storage is definatly a problem for pet producers.
2) no market for the pets that are made. ( besides the often bought but never used cl10)
3) huge meat requirements needed for our tissues with no acceptable way to aquire it.
4) too many gated tissues due to very hard to get resource requirements.
5) critical failure rate is too high.
pet crafting is very interesting and thought provoking once you get to the crafting stage. First you have to collect dna from creatures that you cant see the stats on or get close towithout a second profession, then you have to get enough dna assuming you have the room to store it. once you aquire the dna you get to pray that you dont have a critical failure during the crafting stage due to the high chance of one. after you make your prize pet you cant use it without a second profession and probably cant sell it either. i really enjoy making pets for the challenge but most of them are sitting on my vendor unsold or are sitting in my house as show peices.
Tissues are not so much fun to make but they are a way to make some profit. chefs buy half runs sometimes but normally only want full runs. taylors will buy single crates but most often want 10 or more crates at a time. with every schematic in my craft taking 20k units of meat minimum and most taylor tissues taking double that or more per run its impossable to even keep one chef and one taylor supplied. add to that the huge cost of meat and its essentially gated for be's. eggs, fish are also near impossable to obtain in necissary quantities.
we are overly dependant on other professions, none of the products a be makes are usable by pure be's. Pure be's are only capable of harvesting one of our required components (dna) in which we have very limited storage for and we cannot get high end dna without picking up more scout for mask scent. our income is coming from only three other professions in which we are gated by high cost hard to obtain resources, or the inability to effectivly harvest those resources without going completely outside the requirements of our profession. we have to have artisian if we want to survey or get a vendor. we have to have master scout if we want to see the stats on the creatures we get dna from. we have to get a combat profession if we want to collect meat for our tissues. Even with the proper skills the resource requirements are so high for our products we cant possably keep up with the needs of our customers. also add that we have one of the highest skill point requirements in the game and you get alot of frustrated players.

Ya know,
This really angers me...
Jedi Bounty Hunter missions were broken for what seemed like ages....
Devs finally after what seemed like EONS fixed the BH Jedi Missions.... the Crowd Roared!... Yay!
New Jedi patch hits the streets (which spawned many, many, many newb Jedi, ripe for the killing) and the BH Hunter missions were suddenly BROKEN again, with no ACKNOWLEDGEMENT from the devs about this issue.
Thats one of the major problems that I would like to put forward.
P.S. The rest of the problems are snuggled away in the Current BH Issues thread.
