I like the idea of SW tapes dropping in space. It might also motivate more people to get into space, since there'd be something worthwhile to loot.

They drop from the same things that drop any other attachments...its random... you're best bet is really buying it off the auction boards.......

And to make top of the line weapons, you need top of the line resources..... resources are 10x more important than experimentation in my opinion

anyone knows what Skilltapes are available?

I have seen chassie /engine /weapons systems exp .. thats all... can anyone confirm if htere are skilltapes for the other systems available too?

I think it would be nice for SW skill tapes to drop from RE'd pieces like firespray discs. Give them a 1 in 100 drop rate.

i love that idea also what would be great that in addition to the skills mod why not have the tapes also great a random amount of shipwright exp

Assuming you mean "generate" not "great," I dont see how this is really going to help anyone. Shipwright exp is pretty easy to get if you have the resources, and if you dont have them, any small amount you get would be more of an insult than anything. Getting a million SW exp means making one chassis lol. Getting one thousand from RE'ing a component/s doesn't really seem to be a big help in the oveall scheme of things.

Especailly since SW can not trade exp for jedi, go figure. Maybe we are unbalanced exp wise compared to every other profession lol.
