For me, the most pressing issue is the lack of regular, non-jedi player bounties. This is the reason why most of us wanted to be bounty hunters in the first place. It is what I invisioned myself doing in the game more than a year before the game came out (was thinking about it back in my TSO days).





You asked for only one, but I'll give you a couple others, too.





I love the flexibility we now have with our templates, but I would like even more.

I started working towards becoming a Bounty Hunter back in Beta, and started once again the first day of live. I was a Master Bounty Hunter for 5 months or so before dropping everything but Investigation III,and was extacticabout our greater flexibility which I took advantage of by trying other combat skills. I wished for much more flexibility with our profession the moment I figured out how to decipher the skill tree. For ages we were confined to Rifles, Carbines, Pistols, and LLCs. There was no room to pick up any other weapon skills. We were all pretty much clones of each other. The devs gave us a ton more when they dropped it from Master Scout to Exploration IV. I love hearing about the variety of bounty hunters we have now, but with the changes I'm recommending, we could have even more.


One thing that could be done to make the profession even more flexible is to make the point of entry be tons of Combat XP aquired from any weapon usage. The XP could be the equivalent of having mastered any advanced combat profession.


If that is not the point of entry, I would prefer Brawler Unarmed IV to Scout Exploration IV, and would make more sense. This would make the profession prerequesites the same as Commando and free up some skillpoints we could use to put into any combat profession. Currently I cannot be a TKM or Master Fencer as well a Master Bounty Hunter.






The profession itself could stand an overhaul. Right now it is Marksman +. It is a continuation of all Marksman weapons, save a replacement of Rifles for Investigation. The profession did not have this design until about a week before the game came out. Instead, the profession could consist of Investigation and things like thrown npc and player-disabling traps and wrist rockets.

I unlocked my first holo in oct. and it said BH. It took me from then till early Sept. 04 to complete BH. The most frustrating, but potentially cool aspect of this profession "grind" (assuming that's unavoidable) is the droid use/tracking of NPC targets and eventually Jedi targets. The investigation chain is one the most buggy mission systems in the game, with large blocks of time going down the drain to the only error message: "Mission Incomplete." There's vague mention of a high priority bug list and I have to assume that fixes for all the droid problems will continue to go in, though claims that the investigation line has been fixed up lately are not focusing on NPC issues.

justG - When I am trying to go to sleep, and I am tossing and turning at night, the things that keep me up at night are combat, and jedi, and spaceflight, and things like that. The "most" important issue though i feel there are many "important" issues that need to be addressed is that at the moment the MBH title is just that a title it in fact is considered a waste to get MBH because a BH/ melee stacker is better at killing jedi than any MBH. This is just plan wrong and must be fixed MBH is not worth it and is not the best at what its made for which is to hunt jedi.... PLEASE....change this make the MBH title more than a title make it worthy of earning!

I am overallpretty happy with BE as it currently is. I think a greater variety of pets would be nice, especially some flier skins and maybe one or two things that can only be Bio-Engineered, not tamed,would be fun. Maybe a reduction in meat quantites required for tissues would be nice since it isnt easy to come by at decent prices, but tissues arent my market really, so thats not a huge concern for me.


With the new force sensitive issues, it would be nice to get BE prerequisites changed to artisan, since we apparantly need that for phase two and three of crafting, and also, it wouldnt suck up as many skill points for any BE/other prof combo that also wants some vendors. But, once again, that would be more of a luxury than a necessity.

With the current system master bounty hunter's 250 skill points is not equal to the other profession templates. some template are unstopable because of thier deffence and offence modifers . what i would liek to see is take scout told out of the picture and make mbh require unarmed 4 this would open the commando tree to us also a bh would know how to fight with hand to hand combat it makes sense. We lack a lot of things, i tested the damageit is not equal even close to the other master elite professions damage with thier skills . two things must happen either give us the highest damage and very little def or give us the def and modifers of the elites . mbh should not have to get master pisoleer to be decent with a pistol . the lcc need to be change to a rilfe tree because we master markmen but we never use a rilfe therefore we have a rilfe tree that is redundant . There were many promise make to this professionthat worked then we were broken for the good of the commuintiy which i understand why but with all the defence in this game now the nerfs need to come off the bh skills , also we need our gadjet , master bh needs new master weapons because at this point thier is no reason to master bh but for the title . and please please give us player bounties,because if would be fun for every one

There are many important issues, but if I was forced to take one.
Player Bounties. Hands down.

If we got this, everything else would be irrelevant in comparison, IMO. Yes, we need rebalancing, yes, the countless bugs need to be fixed, yes, the skills need to be improved. But. If we got this fairly simple phenomena implemented in a sensible and "fair" but still a way that would make *ALL* players (not just smugglers) get a little excited, I would be eternally happy. This game has far to few consequences - Could all be fixed with this.

Hiya Tiggs and welcome aboard.


Anyways these are my most pressing issues.


1) Not enough accuracy with our weapons. Ok, I understand that we're suppose to be a Jack of all Trades, Master of None, but that doesn't mean that we have to suck with what we've got (See any past discussion on LLC for examples). To further clarify I'll put it like this. In my opinion a master pistoleer should be able to take out the eye of a bird at say 1000 meters (just using an example here - not worried about the details). Ok, he's the master of a pistol, I understand how that works. Now, since we, Bounty Hunters, are not we shouldn't. This doesn't mean we can't HIT the same bird, it just means we can't hit as PRECISELY as a master pistoleer. We're here to get our merchandise, not to do parlor tricks. We need more accuracy.


2) Defense. Uhm, yeah. We need more. Alot more.


3) Weapon switch delay. Hated it yesterday, hate it now, gonna hate it tomorrow.


4) For me, I don't mind having Jedi missions at Investigation 3. What doesn't make sense to me is that a Master BH does NOT have a distinct advantage over anyone else in this area. Master BH's should have a weapon, unique to MBH, to take advantage of a Jedi's weakness. I'm not talking about a one shot - one kill weapon, but one that is effective against jedi. After all, our best approach to combat isn't to over power anything. Its to exploit our target's weakness. A pistol or carb or LLC area of effect special would be really nice here after accuracy has been addressed.


What all this is forcingmost of usto do is choose between Master Pistoleer, Master Carbs or Master Rifle in order to remain competitive. There are other options that I would like to explore (Master Brawler for example), but doing so would result in my template being very watered down and really not being able to compete in any arena other than solo hunting. I mean for me the comparrison is simple. Take a Master Pistoller, TKM, Rifleman, whatever and do a simple comparrison to a BH. The class compared only needs to use one weapon, where as if we fought as intended would go from Carbs for our states, pistols for more states and damage and LLC to finish the target off. We have to deal with the weapons switch timer and misses where the other classes don't. Combat is more drawn out for us. Not good. Especially when we have no defenses.


Lastly, tracking droids. Not going to beat a dead horse here.


Oh yeah. BH's should not have to choose a side in the GCW.

Look at all the jedi who see the dev and want to give their nerf advice!! Get out...




1. Weaponswitch delay - remove it.

2. Bugs like - target offline / loss of TEF / failure to track / jedi attempting to trade with you to find out if you are stalking them waiting to attack / - remove them

3. Remove that terrible LLC tree and replace with a rifle so it stacks with marksman profession

4.Fixed special attacks -FireKnockdown? Make itset the targeton fire and actually knock the target down more than once out of 50 attempts - Fastblast? - Make it do.... Something good....

5. Give a penetration modification at MBH that "penetrates" or decreases blocking perhaps - Or just make MBH worthwhile to have period.


There's my top 5

welcome to SWG i hope you'll enjoy yourtime here and dont let the flammers and trolls get to you to much.


A couple of things i would like to seechanged or added to BH,


Player bounty missions,these have been mentioned by many.

either reduce or remove the weapon switch time forBH's

some more BH specific weapons, or the ability tocustomise our own.this coud even be limited to say for example a novice BH mods a laser carbine.that carbine would thennot be able to be used by anyone other than a BH.(boba fett uses asawed off rifle)

our own armor, that is effective and notalmost impossible to get or again the ability to customise armor(again bobaand jango had modified they're armor themselves)

gadgets or BH specific tools of the trade, tracking dart, wire mesh net, vehicle bombs, snare lines all are great examples of this.


fixing the current issues, such as jedi mission payout, the not logged in bug etc etc etc.


ohhh and the big one the combat balance. it just makes no sense that a guy running at a bounty hunter unarmed will then be able to take the bounty hunter out. naturaly the BH would fill the guy full of holes.yet at the moment TKA can wipe the floor with a BH and pretty much anything else.
