Currently Mdef 0404 ls 4040 healer 3002 enhancer, debating between mls menh 4040 healer, or mls 4402 enh 3040 defender 4000 healer. i could also drop the sap line in my current template to pick up the force armor line in enhancer, what do you guys think?

So I got myself a new wookiee toon. Being wookiee as he is, and liking ranged (cuz it's star wars) I decided to make him master Rifleman to use the cool crossbows. However, being a montrous beast that wookiees are, i wanted some melee as well. I was thinking about master swordsman, i thought this template alone would give me the most ability to wield any melee weapon (granted with someweat different mods). This template as is leaves me with 38 skill pts, but no melee knockdown abilities. Can anyone offer me advice on:

1) Is MSwords the better elite brawler weapons-using prof?
I'd like to be able to tank somewhat, but am more interested in just dealing a lot of damage. I read the started guide, but knowing what the specials are is not the same as knowing them from experience, so your advice is appreciated.


2) What should i do with my remaining skill pts?
See above about tanking, but i'm currently thinking about medic 0/0/3/0, which i could combine with unarmed or polearms I-IV (it seems wasteful cuz i will only gain one new ability (KD or KD-area). I could also do Mbrawler (but it leaves me with 4 unusable skill pts), or i could dabble in scout to get nov squad leader, or nov BH

I know it's probably weird in SWG to do a ranged/melee combo, but i think it makes perfect sense for a wookiee.

Hey there and welcome to the wonderful world of wookiees! I am currently a Master Rifle/Master Sword/Master Brawler with combat prowess 0004 for the melee speed +12. According to the devs, Swordsman are no longer "tank" classes though I am finding that since I'm usually the main damage dealer both ranged and melee, I'm usually the one most often getting the hate aggro.


I'm enjoying it but I'm beginning to wonder about the master brawler component and whether it's really necessary. I kinda miss having scout. The other idea I have is to use 12 points to finish combat prowess (+12 melee acc, +12 ranged speed, +12ranged acc) and use 22 points elsewere (scout, enhanced reflexes, or perhaps novicefencer and some of the trees there (since I have the brawler sklls)).


I'm not sure the novice BH or SL would do much for you, nor would just the dabbling in the brawler ua/pike trees. Medic is good.. but I find that just buying stimms works for me so far. Let me know how it goes for you.. I'm still working on mine and would appreciate any advice as well.

Hey Na, thanks for your input.

I'm about to work on my novice boxes, so I still have crap for damage... but i miss having a knockdown attack. This is really the only reason I would go up ua or pike. I'm not sure which would be better to have, single or area sweep. Also I did pick up medic cuz as a low level i NEED it! But i didn't really think about using those skill points for FS stuff. That's probably a good idea. I have enough to unlock padawan, a problem my main toon py-mae is currently suffering from.

Oh and once this template is done... the Wookiees WILL win.

Area/Single KD is really dependent upon what you do. If you are a healer in a group, the Area KD is really helpful in a situation if you need to run cause you drew agro from everything. If you are a more one on one and don't try and take a group single KD is probably for you because you are not trying to take a group down.

ok right now i am a mbh and a mp and nm 0004, i was thinking of using my token respec to go mbh mcm pist 0004. whatdo you guys that have tried the different mbh mr cm 0004 or mbh mcm pist 0004 think.

depends on your fighting style, you like to fight at range or up close. Would you rather be out damaging your mark or out healing them

i would think that outhealing would work better, but thats the point of the post. i would think that being at range and using the mcm skills would work well but since i have not tried them i dont know.
