So whats the question exactly then?
Are you asking our advice if you should become an architect at 0444?
There is business out there for architects, but just not a ton of it to go around. I wouldn't count on this profession as a big money maker though if thats the primary goal.

Out of MPistols MRifleman and MCarbine, which do ya guys thinks the best? I won't be using it to PvP just as protection really, for checking havs, also would be good to use to do some of the quests on this toon so I can sell the loot items. Not sure what CL I'd be with that template though.

Chef can make some gret money, because they make a truely consumable Item.. you can ADK it lol... now what would be cool is if weapons required Ammo... they we would be rich.. we could give away the weapon and just sell the ammo.. kinda like HP does with their Inkjet printers..
I think from a purely profit-generating perspective Chef would probably be better. As the poster above said, they can't put an ADK on Vaserian Brandy.Foodis the ultimate consumable so you can get lots of repeat business, there's a lot of variety andthere are foods that serve pretty much all professions. If you want to go BE, I imagine you can make good money off of Stim D's, as long as you have the resources to make good ones.
Weaponsmith is still a good money-maker, but the really big bucksare in enhanced weapons. Problem is, the better you make a weapon, the more ADK-worthy it becomes and the less likely it is you'll get repeat business. And now people only really need at mosttwo weapons (one kinetic, one energy--though I get by pretty wellon my MBH/MR altusing just a T-21). And that isn't considering the really nice quest reward weapons from RotW that we have to compete against now.

Working on a new template for my 2nd toon. I am an ex-MDE and got bored of it, wasn't making much money either.
This new toon is a MArtisan as I made a lot of money selling swoops with my other toon (who's now been respeced to a just combat).
So I'm MArtisan and thinking of going MSmuggler and Architect 0444. I want the Architect 'cause I'm thinking building thoses houses, havers and city buildings would make money, but I'm reading and thinking maybe they won't, as someone said, they don't decay, so once someones brought them, they don't need any more.
I'm stuck on what to pick. I would like the MSmuggler for slicing if they fix it, just to see what its like and the protection the combat in it would give when checking havs.

Go for Master Weaponsmith, Master Pistoleer, with artisan.
