What floors me is people talking about debris spawns as 'acceptable' sources of milk. One or two units every ten lootings, is supposed to be right? Puhlease.

We need a viable source of milk, and so do the chefs. It's laughable that we don't have it.
Eggs can come from searching lairs, fish can come from fishing (but rarely in the quantities we need, unless you're a glutton for punishment). But milk? No reliable source.

omg I agree completely!! this is totally unacceptable and should have been fixed/dealt with long ago, back in beta days! I just posted something to a dev to this effect, stating if it were this hard (12 xpper day for a combat skill, 12 units a day of metal for a weaponsmith) this game would be totally worthless. instead they think it's ok cause it only affects a small part of the community. I say no, it's not right and needs to be changed. as far as the eggs and fishing, it's still not right. the be and chef need these items and for them to have to wait days or months or years (as in the case of milk/mullusks) for enough to make a decent schematic for their goods is not right.

when I first became a be, I was told by a csr that it was part of the game, part of the excitement and journey to figure out ourselves how to gather dna from an animal. I told them how unacceptable this was to have to wonder how the hell to do something that was a necessity in a given profession. she/he told me to ask some other be. this was not acceptable and now I see they FINALLY have put in a dna sample macro. I believe that this milk problem needs to be addressed now. we should not have to go through a profession without the necessary items. if we do, then every profession must have the same thing with them. let those that are going up the ladder to weaponsmith have to camp out at a lair, fishing hole or garbage pile to get his needed items to make a gun!

we're tired of it, SOE.. change it now!

Personally I think the Milk rarity is almost needed(well atleast a very rare component)... otherwise every Novice CH is going to buy +200 skilled clothing for 500 creds and go tame him/herself some Kimogila's... The rarity increases the cost and reduces thenumber of these buffs in game.. both are good.

if you were a ch, you would know that this isn't possible. you must have the ability to control an animal that you take out so no matter what your taming ability is, if you don't have the control level, you can't even tame nor take it out and use it. all it does is make it a bit easier to tame animals, not make those that are unable to tame suddenly able. so please, before you post this type of info, check into it. I guess I'm guilty of it as well, as far as the stupid patch regarding this cloning bs, but at least the info I got was from the boards in the first place

A guildmate bought 4k (yes 4000) of same name milk from somebody. I can't really see them looting 1-4 milk every 10-15 minutes and getting that kind of quantity. There has to be a better source out there.

yes, it's called cheating/duping and if your guildmate didn't know any better, they need their head examined. talk was about a bio harvester being given out by certain csr's to some players but that matter was taken care of (obviously not very fast if that kind of milk was floating around.).

they are still there. get with a group and you'll see them not sure how big the group has to be, but get in with a large group, and if you can solo them just tip the leader and move on

The only people it spoils it for are the greedy campers who want sole camping rights to the piles. Know what... tough crap!

you see what the hell you've created in this game, DEVS?? this is bull**edit** and unexcusable. someone sits out there all day long, content with crafting or fishing while they wait and this jerk walks up and takes the only **edit** spawn of milk for the day thinking it's his right to do so. you've made this game sick and created a bunch of losers ( that are now your great jedis too!). I hope you're completely happy with it.

Hey SirVimes, could you make a sticky at the top of our forum talking about Milk? There's at least 1 post a week concerning milk, and I thinka general message would be very enlightening for the newbies. Thanks.

I can't seem to find my post so here it is again, sorry. However, I am an aggravated chef who has never ever seen milk in the game. Lair after Lair and all I find is eggs and live samples. So, where exactly does this milk come from? Does it exist? Can only a specific class get milk? There are like 5 things so far that i cannot make because they require milk in one form or another. Please help me!!!

I *think* maybe he meant newbie chefs not newbie as in..well .. newb. Most people that have been chef a while have already found out the deal with milk.
