I've just started fishing recently, and I think it's a lot of fun.. I still havn't found out who want's the fish meat, or what it's worth (let me know if you know), but I do know that when you select 'fillet fish' from the radial menu, you get some fish meat and some chum bait. So if you fillet your fish you can always have lot of crappy bait. The fish also make great decorations in my house. _ILARX

Check the radial menu for the fish. It should come up as "Filet Fish" or something similar.

You must have a knife to fillet it with, go buy a stone knife off the bazaar for 100cr

You only need scout 0001 if you want to forage for bait.
When you fillet a fish, you get more bait from it anyhow.

Yeah, you will need novice Scout. If you are good at fishing you might want to try selling the meat you harvest.

I don't have a waypoint but if you zoom in on your map there will be some bluish purple areas. Those are the lakes on tat.

A friend of mine and I have found four fishing holes on Tat including the Imp outpost. If you send me a email in game to Shadowfire.prin, be sure to leave your server name, I will email you the WPs. The zoom in method is pretty nice too.
