Yes, Volsted's Power Fishing Guide. It's a sticky in the Scout forum. And yes, it works very well. I've caught 60 fish over the past couple of days for an interioer designer who specializes in fish tanks.

I posted this in the scout forum because fishing appears to be a scout skill since it gives survival exp and you need scout to "fillet" a fish

But does it have ANY use? I tried it today and got about 17 resources from 1 fish, which is a bit crappy since it takes so long to catch one, is "fish" resource used in anything?

Also how come the waters on lok have fish when its supposed to be contaminated with sulpher?

There have been various posts in the pasts, guides to fishing and what not. There is a way to make your fishing more expedient and therefore more worth the time. The short version:

Find a shallow pool or water edge where you can run into the water without swimming. Once you CATCH! the fish and start to real it in ... run over to where your little red floater is and on the next tick you will have cought the fish. The time is almost nil by comparison and you can get a lot of fish in a very short time.

There is also a way to do this with camps so you can gain survival XP while fishing, but it requires careful placement of the camp.

As far as the use... well, fish meat makes for great generic resources if you don't like to hunt. Other than that you can occasionally get someone to buy it but in my experience, buyers are not in high demand.

Find a good BE on your server. Get them a largish quantity of fish (and if it's good quality, get them as much as you can stand to get). You'll probably get a nice BE pet and pet stims for life out of the deal if you get enough and work the deal right.

The water on Lok is not contaminated by sulphur. It's not water - think pee. Then ask your question. (Harkening back to the days of the /atomicswirley skill we wished for)

Back on topic, BEs need fish. Read the guide stickied at the top of the forum. You too can fish til your brain explodes.

BE's use fish for Pet Stim D's. Volstad's power fishing guide at the top of the stickies is well worth a read for powerfishing. And consult with SWGCRAFT.COM for where the good fish meat is. I like fishing at Lake Retreat, the outbacks of Talus, and near the science outpost on Dath

You get fishing bait by foraging and fileting fish to get chum bait. as far as skill i found its just repetitive timing...around 4 to 5 sec in between each command...then the menu resets itself....good luck all you fisherman from Newfie fisherman..

Just curious, how many jedi's out there like to go "fishing" as I like to call it? You know, where stand at a starport and act like you're afk, or "surf" the bazaar in the hopes that you can trick a bounty hunter into attacking you "off guard." This is one of my favorite things to do lately. Mainly because I'm back in school. So I just afk and do my homework. Then when I hear my saber light up, I know one took the bait.

Totally. I wait Cloaked with my "Repair Droid" as bait. It's rare to find a BH that can resist disabling a worthless droid....giving-up their "first strike". It's a beautiful thing, really. Love it.
